Lupi’s is one of my all time favorite pizza restaurants. This isn’t your average pizza place. This restaurant is superlative among the rest. Lupi’s has the Boho Chic atmosphere, friendly staff and unusual ingredients, unlike chain pizza places. My usual pie is artichoke, mushrooms and anchovies. Perfect, every time. If they delivered, I would weigh 700 lbs. Clean, friendly, unusual: A+++

A little pricey, but definitely good pizza. Crust was perfect — enough crunch but still a little chewy. Cooked perfectly. And the right cheese to sauce ratio. The sauce had a slight sweetness to it that balanced it all out. A+!

Our favorite pizza place in Chattanooga! Whole wheat crust is great, toppings are fresh and tasty, and the salad is excellentl. Balsamic dressing’s our choice. Selection of beers on draft is limited, but choices are good. Lots of bottled alternatives — standard and some special options.

I LOVE the calzones. The crust is so good that they offer a lump of it with dipping oil as an appetizer. When you stuff it with cheese, meat, and vegetables, it gets even better! My biggest problem is resisting eating the whole giant calzone in one sitting! A respectable beer selection, local desserts and ingredients, and a great staff.

Wow what a wonderful find. I have to eat strictly gluten free which never includes pizza, BUT at Lupi’s I can eat pizza there and not worry about getting sick. The staff is knowledgable about gluten free and very helpful when trying to decide what entrée to try. The pizza crust is gluten free and the toppings are placed on the pizza in the refrigerated area to prevent cross-contamination. The pizza is delicious! My son and husband tried the small calzone and they were huge and DELICIOUS! Service was good and the cost of the meal was reasonable. Wish there was a Lupi’s in northeastern Oklahoma as we don’t get to TN but every six months or so. Thank you for serving such delicious gluten free and fresh food.

Always clean, always hot and fresh. They blast you out with A/C at this location a lot of times, so bring a sweatshirt ;) You can’t go wrong with Lupi’s food, you just really can’t. Their bruschetta is the stuff of legend. Their salads are SO fresh with things you don’t normally get like sprouts and mushrooms, and house dressings. Their pizzas are awesome too, but I mostly just order bruschetta and salad because they are so damn good as stand-alones. The atmosphere is really quirky. I just love it. Good selection of beer as well, if that’s your thing.

We were in town looking for someplace for a late lunch. I got on Unilocal to find someplace and found Lupi’s rated very good. I was very happy we found it! To me there are 2 things that really make a good pizza — crust and sauce. Their crust is very tender and yummy. The rustic toppings and the beer selection is great. Also the service was very good and very polite. We will be back the next time we are in town. Thanks for some great pizza!

Oh Lupi’s, have we not had a long and mutually beneficial relationship? You were there for me on so many first dates downtown where we could watch your pie spinners throw our pizza pie mercilessly into the air and beat the crap out of it before adding cheese and pepperoni.(Yeah, I’m kind of plain Jane) Now I’m all grown up and I still occasionally visit. Well, I did last night with my wife. The folks were nice as usual. The food was also good. And I was having a delightful dinner with my betrothed and thought I’d dim the light at my table. I thought it would be a good idea to set the mood. Well a resident was not having any of that. Aa we were getting ready to leave, I turned the light back up. My wife gasped and said, «Don’t look behind you. Lean forward and get up slowly. «of course I had to look. Wish I hadn’t. A cockroach was crawling up my back rest behind my head. Glad I was done eating when I saw it. Not a big deal you say? Those little guys are not loners. They have big families that live very close by. He was a cocky little guy coming out when I dimmed the lights. Should have taken a picture but I was trying to gtfo of there. Bottom line-Great food-Great service-bugs. Next time lets do without the bugs. It will be a long time before the next time.

Since I have a food blog, Sidewalk Shoes, I cook usually 5 nights a week, which means we eat out 2 nights a week. One of those nights is usually a restaurant that we have been wanting to try and the other night is usually a favorite regular. One of our very favorite regulars is Lupi’s Pizza Pies. This(the Hixson location) is our Friday night eats choice. It is halfway between our home and my husband’s work, so I drive in, he drives out, and we meet in the parking lot. Being creatures of habit, our order is always the same, the only varying is my husband’s choice of brew. We each get a salad, a slice of pizza and a drink. When you walk into Lupi’s, you place your order at the counter. We try to get there right before 6, so that it is not too crowded. Standing in line to place your order drives me crazy, but I have learned to live with it. It’s really annoying when you get behind someone who waits until they get to the counter to begin looking at the menu and discussing all the options with their members in their party and the counter person. But when you make it to the counter, the people are extremely friendly and knowledgable, even giving a sample taste of a beer if you are not sure what kind you want. Once you place your order, you find a table and place your number on the table for the server to find you. If you’ve gotten tea or soft drinks, you go to a counter and fill them yourselves, allowing multiple refills. While you wait for your order, you can look around and admire the eclectic décor. Dark purple walls with bright trim colors, big puffy clouds hanging from the ceiling, string lights hung from anything and everything. There is artwork on the walls for sale, a small outdoor seating area, and a small game area. I know it may sound strange, but the salad is the reason we go to Lupi’s. It’s perfect. It has lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, sprout, cheese, red onions, shredded carrots, and the best croutons ever. I could live on the croutons alone. We get the house balsamic vinaigrette. The pizza is good. We like that we can order it by the slice. I get pepperoni on white dough with extra cheese. My husband gets spicy chicken on whole wheat dough. Unlike the salads, the pizza is unremarkable. It’s good, but it doesn’t stand out from other pizza places the same way their salad does. The marina sauce is flavorful, and depending on who is making the pizza, my extra cheese is sometimes really extra and sometimes not so much.

I’m a Lupi’s regular, and my family of pizza lovers is agreed that their pizza is the best in Chattanooga. The orders Are consistently correct, special requests are honored with no difficulty(light sauce, toppings on this half, even no cheese on half during my sister in-law’s dairy-free phase, all without a hitch!) Though dining in for fresh deliciousness is the best way to enjoy giant pizzas or monster calzones, the take-n-bake option has become our staple during football season. Having a kids party with a «make your own pizza» element? Lupi’s sells their dough balls for just a couple of dollars, and you can bake it up for happy kids(and adults) right at home! If you’re a beer enthusiast, there seems to be a giant selection of craft bottles. The staff is friendly and handles kids and teams of kids very well. Definitely make Lupi’s your home base for Pizza, particularly the Hixson branch!

I highly recommend this location now– Love this pizza! It was perfectly cooked this time. I haven’t been to this location in awhile because for some time I kept getting burnt pizzas there, but now that doesn’t seem to be a problem anymore. The bruschetta and the pizza we had were both perfectly cooked and delicious! The staff is also very friendly now. We will be back!

Love this pizza! Margherita pizza or the meat lovers any day! The salads are ok, but if your here, it is for the pizza or a calzone. Plenty of tables, and not too loud. We order for take out often also.

Oh wow! Following th Mountian City Café experience, this is totally WONDERFOOD! The overall experience harkens toward an era when ‘off-beat’ was ‘okay’. Great background tunes, wonderful food. The wait for a table on prime nights might be a consideration, however, a busy restaurant IS a good sign of happy customers. They offer a full spectrum of beers, both on tap, and in the bottle, too! The calzones are to die for, with a tasty full-flavored crust. The pizzas rank with the best I’ve ever tasted. I can’t wait to try either their veggie or carne’ lasagna! Don’t be put off by the gravel parking lot. If you pass Lupi’s by, you’ll miss a truly great meal. Update!!! GRAVELNOMORE!

I have been o Lupi’s twice, and both times have walked away with mediocre feelings. It’s not that the pizza is bad, because it’s not. But for me it’s nothing spectacular. Also, by the time you add a few veggie toppings to a basic cheese pizza, the price can go a little higher than I care to spend on a medium sized pie. I’d still recommend it over any of the fast food pizza places if you aren’t in a hurry and have time to go in. My only real complaint is that both of the times I visited the Hixson location, the wait was substantial(for a weekday) and the entire process of ordering was a bit disorganized due to the amount of people crammed into the small waiting/ordering area.

My favorite pizza to date in Chattanooga although this is my least favorite location. This store is a bit rough with a gravel parking lot and the employee at the register gives phone orders precedence over dine-in customers. The upside of this location is it’s not as popular, and therefore, as busy as the others. The ingredients they use are quality and the results are a tasty pie, so if I’m in this area and needing pizza this would be the obvious choice.

Delicious pizza. We got a basic cheese/pepperoni pizza and the crust, cheese, and sauce all had great flavors… I can’t say that is always true. This is good stuff!

Lupi’s is the stepbrother of Fellini’s down in Atlanta, and it definitely has its benefits over Fellini’s on some things… for one, they have a ton more bottled beers. They also have way more of a variety of toppings. My favorite has to be sundried tomatoes. There are so many vegetable options, it’s hard to choose. But I still love both very much and could not choose one over the other. Lupi’s pizza is so good. The sauce tastes so fresh and has a good spice to it. The crust is always one of the best parts. The calzones are ridiculously good too, I don’t think it’s possible to eat one in one sitting. A salad and a slice is always a good meal. With a drink, I think this runs just a little over $ 10. You can also add one of the toppings for pizza to a salad. Their spicy chicken is really good on the salad. I hadn’t been in so long before today, because they are closed on Mondays, so keep that in mind! Their parking lot is gravel and it’s a bit dicey when it’s busy, but you could always part in the little, quite empty shopping center next door. #Yelp365 — 55⁄365
