Papa Murphy’s

Best pizza in town. All you’ve got to do is cook it yourself. Ingredients are first quality and fresh. They really pile on the toppings. Pizza dough is great (but who buys pizza for the dough?) Help is super friendly. Prices are more than reasonable. We’ve ordered there many times and have never been disappointed.

…no really… I am kind of still horrified that I just ate a slice of this Chicago-​style stuffed pizza from Papa Murphy’s. I’m not exactly sure how salami, pepperoni, Italian sausage, ground beef, onion, and tomatoes is Chicago but okay.
This is a take and bake pizza place. They put it together for you there and then you take it home and bake it when you want it. Interesting. My parents love it, so I figured I would humor them and eat it.
The Chicago-​style stuffed is their favorite somehow. I guess maybe it is the closest thing they can have to what is actually Chicago deep dish, but it’s just… weird. It wasn’t anything special, but it did taste fresh and it was surprising that it wasn’t as greasy as I expected for the meat ingredients.
They do have normal crusted pizzas and thin crust pizzas too if you want something normal. And you can even come up with a pizza all your own.
When I went to their website to get all the info needed to add them on here, I saw a s’mores dessert pizza… I haven’t been hungry for days because of a cold but would I ever eat that thing. Maybe next time I can beg for it along with a normal type of pizza.
I can see this being pretty useful, despite the location, since you can call ahead, drop by, and then bake the pizza at home.
