The owner LIED. I called their phone at 11pm on a Saturday, to confirm what time they closed that day. Unilocal said midnight. The guy said midnight. I arrive at 11:24pm, the store is CLOSED. What a complete lack of professionalism. Look, if you wanna close up earlier than your posted time, just tell customers straight up on the phone when they ask, so they don’t waste their time and gas. Geez. I’d give 0 stars if I could. Liar

This place was super convenient and therefore awesome when we lived a block away. Good beer selection(including some hard to find types), decent wine, serviceable liquors. Prices are average and the folks are friendly.

Convenient location and decent selection of wine. A bit pricier than the A&P liquor store but worth the convenience if its all you need. Across the street from Fiore’s for when you need an ATM.

Augie’s moved around the corner to Adams Street about a year ago(between 4th&5th) and with the move, greatly expanded their beer selection. Along with the A&P(surprisingly enough) it’s probably the best place in midtown Hoboken to shop for beer. While they do lack craft beers, nevertheless, there’s a nice mix of some smaller American brewers like Dogfish Head, Six Point, Brooklyn, Smuttynose, Lagunitas, Oskar & Victory to go along with your standard domestic/imported options. Otherwise, Augie’s is your run of the mill wine and liquor store. An okay selection of wine(if you’re in the area you could do worse), an small aisle of liquor, and they do carry ice. Strangely enough, they also carry ice cream… I guess there are worse things to eat as you’re slipping into intoxication.
