I always have a quality meal here for a great price point. My dad loves coming here when they are in town, for delicious food that doesn’t break the bank. The bar is nice, never too crowded. You can usually get a seat and can have an audible conversation! Nice location in central Hoboken.

I’m writing to say that this restaurant is OPEN. I don’t know who reported to Unilocal that it’s closed, but it isn’t.(It is however, under new ownership — Cosmo is no longer there, unfortunately.) We had dinner there last night and it was very good and still up to Cosmo’s standards. The chef came out to our table and greeted us & told us that he had been the chef there with Cosmo for the last 20 years.

This is the best Italian restaurant in Hoboken without any real close second in my opinion. I’ve mostly ordered the specials which have all been so good. The lobster ravioli which others have mentioned, short ribs, and a chicken with sausage special have all been outstanding. I have ordered on the menu and that’s been very good as well. I haven’t had the pizza, I hear it’s good but the specials are so good I haven’t thought to get pizza their yet. Besides the food being great, the prices for the specials have all been very reasonable between twenty and twenty five dollars. The staff is always nice, they will never rush you and you will always feel welcome. It won’t be a quick night so figure some time if you have a engagement afterwards. From the outside it doesn’t look like much, but once your inside its comfortable with a old school charm that makes you feel like your in another era. And the music is at the right volume so your not getting a headache screaming at each other. Maybe I’m just old but this is so nice … Cosmo the owner I have not met but my parents have and he gave them desert for free and sat down with them upon first meeting. I guess they had some Italian connection but this seems to be the type of place AAA is, this is a Hoboken gem I don’t think you will ever be disappointed.

Being born and raised in Hoboken I’ve seen SO many restaurants come and go — even some great ones. We need to do everything possible to make sure 3A’s sticks around for years to come because it’s PHENOMENAL. I honestly should’ve written a review years ago but feel enticed to now because a. I want to do my part to make sure it sticks around and b. it’s so much better than most of what Hoboken has to offer. Besides being delicious, the wait staff and kitchen are so accommodating; if you don’t see something on the menu just ask. It’s in my Hoboken top 3 so I hope you’ll see my review and give it a visit.

Wow! All I can say. I moved to hoboken recently and Three As is within walking distance of my place. Came for Saturday night dinner and cannot wait to go back. I ordered the balsamic calamari and it was delish! The calamari had just enough balsamic flavoring to not be over powering. For my entrée I had the Rigatoni with scallops. Definitely one of the best meals I have had in a long time! The atmosphere and service were both enjoyable as well. I am looking forward to going back and trying out some apps at the front bar next time! If you also are a fan of martinis they have an extensive menu! I would suggest this place as a perfect date night or to catch up with a good friend. I will be back!

My nephew goes to Steven’s Institute in Hoboken and is a Guard for thier basketball team, so after his games we all go out to dinner, usually to Court Street Restaurant which we all completley love but in purset of variety we decided to give The Three A’s on Grand Street a try. We all agreeded we made the correct choice! The atmosphere. food and staff were all on point! Everything from the appetizer to the dessert was fantastic including the tasty cocktails! Going to a game this Saturday and back to The Three A’s for another wonderful evening of great food and fun times!

I am almost too embarrassed to write this review because this hidden Hoboken gem is within stumbling distance of my apartment and yet it took an overhyped«blizzard» for me to find it. I can’t wait to go back! These guys have Yuengling on tap-that’s how you know they are legit. We met Cosmo, the owner, when we sat down and he was just a delight. Such a nice gentleman and he was MIFFED that he had to close early that night. The six of us all got a few beers and some of us ordered dinner. The pizza was DELICIOUS. These are small, personal pizzas and I devoured mine. Highly recommend the pizza bianco and the grilled chicken pizza. Next time, I will be getting the«special homemade» lobster ravioli that Cosmo told us about. Cannot wait to hit up this spot more often!

Very solid neighborhood italian. Always good service, and they have some really good dishes, like baked clams, shrimp or chicken francaise. And it’s byob.

The eggplant appetizer was outstanding. I could see it as a future offering over angel hair pasta. They offer half orders on the pasta, which was plenty since we shared an appetizer. They even discounted the prize since we asked for a vegetarian version of their meat pasta options.

A place recommended by family. Inviting environment and good service. A good eggplant appetizer and a great pasta dish. I’d come back if A get back in town.

Whatever the occasion, be it dropping in for a drink, catching the game, or winding down in their dining room for a nice meal, Three-A’s has it all going on! Stopped by with my fiancé for an early dinner one Saturday and was happily greeted by a friendly staff eager to make our experience as enjoyable as possible. The wait staff were all very attentive. There was no lull in service throughout the entire dinner, from the appetizers to the main course we were looked after by very nice people. The food was also out of this world! It’s apparent the cooks take pride in their work and my stomach very much appreciated it! When looking for a nice neighborhood restaurant off the beaten path in Hoboken, Three-A’s won’t disappoint!

Yum, I live on the same block and it is out go to place on a boring night. You can order a half-size pasta– for me being a girl that is one of the best things I’ve ever heard. Also love the calamari and dinner rolls with signature butter. However notice I said«boring night» for dinner– I’ll show up in sweats here on a Sunday at 5 pm and it’s not weird. It’s definitely not a young scene or a crowd you go to meet people/drink at.

Went last night and had a great dinner with my gf. Was surprisingly nice inside. I had the 3 A’s stuffed chicken, which was delicious. My gf got the scallop rigatoni which was very good as well.

Three-A’s has always been a great place for a quiet, low key dinner, or a laid back bar scene. When I go for dinner, the crowd is very local, and old school Hoboken. It doesn’t really appear to be a destination for folks who reside outside of our great city. The outside isn’t exactly trendy or welcoming. OK, it’s pretty much an eyesore. Service is always good, professional, and attentive. As others have said, the artichoke app is a classic staple of theirs. Good drinks and wine is reasonably priced. I had a buffalo mozz app special which was very good, and the Chilean Sea Bass, which is excellent. Others in my party had a couple chicken dishes which they enjoyed(and I have in the past) Hot bread and flavored butter to start with. Highly recommend!

I’ve lived in Hoboken for 12 years and have never had a bad meal here. Figured it was about time I gave these guys some credit. Eggplant parm app is our fav! But everything is seriously delish!

I have been to Three-A’s a dozen times or so, I’m finally getting around to a review. This is another hidden gem in Hoboken, it’s off the beaten path at 5th and Grand which probably curbs it from the high traffic of Washington street, but that is also not a bad thing. The outside of the place looks very divey but, inside not at all. There is a small bar area up front and then a dining room in the back. The food here is excellent, it’s actually surprisingly good. I remember first going there being skeptical about how some of their pastas, steaks, etc. would be and I am consistently(consistency is a good thing in the restaurant biz!) blown away by their food. Their specials area always great, apps always good and some of it’s just basic food but delicious. The service is always excellent… always. The owner is an incredibly nice guy and I’m pretty sure I’ve seen him sitting tables every time we’ve been. One time when my sister was in town with my baby niece he cleared out an unused room so she could change a diaper… not many owners do that kinda stuff. Last time we were there I got this veal chop special in a Gorgonzola butter. It was a perfect balance the veal was cooked perfectly and the Gorgonzola wasn’t overwhelming which is sometimes tough to balance with meats. My parents came into town and my Dad being the nice guy he was told the owner how every time we come here the food is amazing and that the veal was some of the best he’s ever had. We got a comped dessert. Great local place and definitely worth popping in and grabbing some grub… their burger ain’t too shaby either!

Growing up as a first generation American, I ate the best Italian home cooking almost everyday of my life. Now i’ve lived in Hoboken for over 5 years, and every time someone asks what my favorite Italian restaurant in town is I always tell them Three A’s. It’s my go to spot. Brunch — Arguably one of the top spots for a go-to brunch in town. You can get anything from eggs benedict to a legit garlic cheese steak sandwich. Everything comes with a bowl of fruit, coffee/tea/juice, and a mimosa. Top quality. This is sit down restaurant with a bar in the front. If you want to watch sports while you eat sit in the front of the restaurant with a table facing the bar. The dinning area doesn’t have any TVs. This is not a sports bar. Dinner — The specials are my go-to. I don’t even bother opening the menu half the time. Just wait to hear the specials, hopefully they are serving their homemade lobster ravioli. It’s out of this world good. Save a piece of bread for the sauce, cause it’s tasty delicious. My favorite lobster rav in town. Good to know that all the pasta specials use homemade pasta, cause frozen is for the birds. The chef and owner, Cosimo, is the nicest guy. If you are in the mood for something and don’t see it on the menu don’t be afraid to ask. In the mood for roasted squid or mussels? If you ask, they probably have it. They do authentic really well. Dinner Parties — You can call ahead and reserve the dinning area for a party. I know they are book alot of parties on Saturdays. Coming up with a menu with Cosimo based on a budget is also easy. My go to Italian spot in Hoboken. Serving up the best specials in town. A great place that won’t break the bank.
