Awesome place to hang out with friends and to get a drink beautiful time at night. Also has a great view.

I’m going to come to the rescue for poor LuLu. She(or he?) has been getting creamed on here. I, on the other hand, have had positive experiences. I’ve been here twice: the first for a masquerade NYE event in 2014, where it was hard to judge the talent for obvious reasons, and again for a gala post-party on a Friday night in April, where the bottle service was excellent. A very different experience than I’m accustomed to in other clubs where the waitress drops off the goods, pours you one drink, then disappears before claiming her automatic gratuity. As an aside, my guess is the gala people occupied 50% of the club on that particular Friday night so I’m not sure how well they would have done in their absence. Pros: –Great views of the City –Good music, yet not deafening –Good crowd –Outdoor area for nice weather and in the event things get too steamy inside Cons: –No place to dance, as others have pointed out. If they got rid of the silly pool table, they would have a dance floor, albeit a small and awkwardly situated one. Other: Bottle service prices are what you’d expect for a club in Hoboken with a NYC skyline view. $ 20 valet for anything past the first hour up to the first five hours is not unreasonable considering what a pain it is to park in Hoboken.

Went on a Friday. We had a room so we got in early. Didn’t get busy until 11. The dj was good. We didn’t get drinks. Bunch of rich assholes who think they deserve something kept on bothering me and my friends. The bouncer Derrick asked to see my ID3 times because I kept leaving and coming back. Why he couldn’t remember my face I don’t know but he was sure to tell me I had an attitude problem when I showed that I was annoyed. Probably wouldn’t go back if it wasn’t for a friends birthday

My go to upscale spot in Hoboken. Classy, great music and never a line, wait or cover. Great view of the Manhattan skyline and beautiful outdoor patio(prepare to hang with smokers however). Music could be a bit more diverse and the drinks are on the pricier side but at least you’re not waiting in a really long line to be sandwiched among teeny-boppers. To each his own. Friday or Saturday night in and out easy like Sunday morning!

Went here for a family members birthday. She had bottle service so we got a table for her party. We arrived early, around 10pm. It was empty as expected. There were some loud guys at the pool table. Décor is beautiful, I was impressed. The view of the city skyline is right above the bar. Outdoor space was closed off for a private party so don’t know what that’s like. It’s definitely very small and you’ll feel it once people start to arrive. It didn’t get crowded til midnight. Drinks are pricey, my green tea cocktail was $ 18. When I’m in the city, it’s only about $ 15. I read somewhere that tip is included in the price but cmon. Somehow our party got three bottles(2 Tito vodka 1 champagne). We were under the impression that the champagne was free because we used a promoter. And we only ordered 1 bottle of Titos. Yet, when the bill came it was almost a grand. It’s ridiculous. As for the race issue that keeps popping up in the reviews, I didn’t notice it. It was a mixed crowd of people, more older late 20s-early 30s. I thought it was supposed to be an upscale dress code but there were people in jeans. The DJ was kinda terrible as well, he played whole songs and his transitions were choppy and halted. I don’t think I’ll go back unless I have to.

The manager with the Man Bun, Devon, is his name is racist against black people. It’s not about playing the race card when it’s facts. You can go to Lulu’s any night and stand in line and see that This man bun wearing a – hole is notorious for telling black people we have to have a reservation or he ask for extra money from us just so we can’t come in. His staff even knows how much of a racist he is. I’m contemplating writing the local news to go undercover to expose this racist jerk. I’m already exposing him in Social Media. This place deserves no stars.

Lulus has a great view of the New York skyline and a great lounge vibe. However, the negative review is due to a disorganized event I attended. We were promised drink specials, but the bartender had no idea what I was talking about so he offered the usual well drinks for $ 6 each. However, when we went for a second round of drinks with another bartender, he charged us $ 24 for the same thing. There were more hyped up security guards than there were attendees at the event. It is good for an older crowd, but as a 22 year old I will probably frequent the younger bars nearby.

This place is the worst effing place I’ve ever been to. I went here on a Saturday night to celebrate a friend’s birthday. My friend had been emailing the manager, Devon, most of the week about being able to get into the establishment, what the dress code was, etc. He told her that we need to get there before 10 for guaranteed entry with dress code. No problem. We arrive at Lulu’s before ten as suggested. A few of our friends in our party had even gotten there half an hour before we did. The bouncers tell us that we have to wait because there was a private event until 10:30. So we wait in the lounge on the main floor, order beers, and some food, take a few pictures, not expecting what happened next. Around 11, we go back to the front to try to get into Lulu’s. The bouncer tells us that we have to have a reservation. Huh? We weren’t told that when we walked in. Nor did Devon — the man-bunned cretin — tell that to my friend when they were emailing earlier in the week. So, my friend pulls up the emails between her and the manager, and asks to speak to a manager. After explaining that we had driven an hour just to come to this precise establishment to celebrate a birthday, the bouncer tells us to give him five minutes to rectify the situation. He leaves, we wait patiently for him to come back and tell us that they are full to capacity and there’s nothing he can do for us. What? Didn’t we just have to make a reservation? We spent about 20 minutes talking to the guy about seeing a manager, or whoever we had to talk to about making a reservation, and all he could tell us was that the manager was busy. Meanwhile, a line had formed behind us for people to enter Lulu’s and those people gained entry a few moments later. A few of us couldn’t help but notice that we were the only black group there, and that everyone who we had seen enter the club was white. We kept asking to see a manager, and the bouncer finally told us that the manager was NOTWILLING to see or talk to us, that he was not letting us into the club no matter what and that we had to leave. Who do these people think they are?! It is a wonder that this club is still in business. The way that they treat their customers is horrendous. This is terrible customer service. I will never come back here ever again, and I will make sure to leave a bad review on every review site. We ended up going to Teak on the Hudson and having a great time. Save yourself a trip. Save your money. And if you see the man bun manager, tell him to grow up and get a f***ing haircut. I’m upset to even give this place one star. It doesn’t deserve it.

Every single time I go to Lulus and use my credit card they over charge my card. They call it «an authorized pending transaction» it’s supposed to go back on your card after 3 days. There has been about 2 times where the money finally went back on. And there’s been about 5 times where I never got my money back. You would think I learn to bring cash but I never have intentions in going to this place I just happened to always end up here because of my friends. Horrible

The security here is absolutely horrific and the crowd this place attracts is even worse. If you want a safe, fun night out without getting innocently assaulted and then shooed by security, I would highly recommend to stay away. There are much classier places to go in Hoboken.

How interesting is it that the majority of the reviews are similar? Well, my first time here was I was shocked lol I’ve never been treated like the scum of the earth. Quite the experience let me tell you. The«MAN-BUNMANAGER»…I think his name is Devon Deven or Deveon(spelling is irrelevant at this point) Is a liar and pathetic. I can’t believe this is who is running the nightlife lol I came to celebrate a friend of a friends birthday. Heres where Deven(or whatever) is a liar. I said hi we’re here to celebrate«insert name» birthday. His response: «I don’t know a «insert name» and I’m just standing there speechless because… this shit is really happening to me. So I call my friend down and the man bun manager says We’re at capacity. Then quickly follows that with you have to spend 350 for a table and 100 for a bottle. Wait… so you’re not at capacity? And honestly if that’s what prices are then fine. It is what it is. But that’s not the best part. My friend is trying to talk to Deven(man bun guy) and in the middle of it I’m like I’m leaving I don’t put up with this bullshit. I leave. My friend calls me saying man bun said we can come in. Ok –___– we walk back. HERESTHEGOODPART with The man bun guy. As I’m waiting in line two guys and three girls walk up and say hi we’re here for(insert name) party. And man bun lets them in. No questions asked what so ever. So now I’m looking so confused. I thought Deven didn’t know(insert name) so I say those people you just let in are going to the same party I am. He repeats that same 350 and 100 dollar bullshit. So I call my friend. My friend comes out and tells man bun I just spoke to you these are my friends I was talking about. Man Bun Deven denies everything. Even the bouncer says hey you said they could come in. Now. I am not a fan of playing the race card… but«a spade is a spade». The ONLY difference between those other people Deven let in and our group was they were white and were people of color. That was the only difference. It’s 2016. I hope to the heavens above that race had nothing to do with it but I wouldn’t put it passed a shady liar like this guy. Not only that, but you never know who you’re turning away. Get it together.

Nothing like having a phone stolen off the bar, finding that it’s still in the bar using«find my phone» and when we asked the bartender for help, he could care less. His response was«I make drinks, not my problem.» Management was very helpful once I ended up in a full blown argument with the bartender but I think that was enough to call it quits on this place which is a shame considering I live next door.

this place is a sick joke! came here for a girlfriends birthday, she had multiple rooms at the W so you would think they would welcome hotel guests with open arms. THINKAGAIN! We go downstairs around 10:50 with a group of 13 girls and a few guys and they demanded we get a table for 1500 dollars… NOTHANKS. The least they could have done is let us go upstairs and even charged us for getting in(although we were hotel guests and that is obscene) but they didn’t even allow that. The place itself is a chill spot but the people who run it clearly don’t know how to manage it.

My friend booked several rooms at the W for her birthday, so I suggested we try out LuLus since we’re already there anyway. We pre game in the room, and head to LuLu. You have 2 options to enter, from outside entrance OR through the hotel entrance. Clearly we’re staying at the Hotel so that’s the door we entered through. We get yelled at by some bouncer/club manager, that we had to go outside and enter through the other door, and then he finally understood we were staying at the hotel so he changed his attitude a bit. We had 10 people total, so he tried to tell us that we HAD to buy an 800 $ bottle to get access. hahah what? Mind you anyone can just walk in the club(for free). My boyfriend laughed and said um no. then the guy says ok fine you can go up. Expect to pay a fortune on drinks.

I don’t normally review clubs as one can imagine the usual shenanigans that occur in these places, but this place was literally the worst on a Saturday night. — it’s on the second floor, in a hotel, in Hoboken — the bar is poorly managed and even though there were 3 – 4 bartenders they moved extremely slow — the bouncer is a liar and tried to charge our guy friend a $ 1500 mandatory minimum because he came in a few minutes after our group of 10 girls. If I wanted to spend that much money I’d go to a real club in Manhattan — the inside looked like some terrible 60s re-imagined Beetlejuice nightmare with black and white striped wallpaper, bad wall art, furry pillows that resembled human hair, and one dancing showgirl in red sequin on a table. Sorry, but having chandeliers doesn’t class up your joint — I lost count of all the super drunk bros with popped collar polos tripping over girls and falling on tables. Meanwhile in the bathroom girls are throwing up all over the place. Going to a club doesn’t mean the night has to end with you destroying the bathroom and smashing your face into a toilet. I saw this occur real time as the attendant tried to help one of the girls while her friend stands there sipping a drink(In the bathroom?! Gross!) saying«oh she does this all the time, she’s fine». Wow, is this the type of crowd here? No thanks! The only good thing was that there’s no line, but after getting in I can totally understand why. Spend your hard earned dollars anywhere else. Hoboken has lots of beautiful places with beautiful people, and Lulu’s just doesn’t cut it.

LOL, is this place a joke or what? 2nd floor bar… The General manager kid with the«man bun» is a joke. I was outside and over heard him say that a party couldn’t come in because their wasn’t enough hot woman in the party. Come on!!! He said«sorry too many guys» MONEYLOST! Don’t bother… #WHobokenNJ

One of the most racist establishments I have EVER been in. I came to support a coworker, and when too many brown or tan faces showed up we were our party was asked to move 3 times, although the host paid over 5000 dollars, and then eventually the made all of us go outside on the balcony. The white people that were on the balcony left and went inside. As my friends and I looked around, we realized that only black people were left outside. We were sent outside like it was 1945. We refused to patronize the distasteful establishment and left. On out way out, we walked through the main area, and only whites were inside. Absolutely disgusted with this place. Sickened and angry.

I came here on a Thursday night with 4 girlfriends and was surprised to find a very young crowd, which is very different than the lounges at the lounges in the W hotels in Manhattan. The music was good but everyone seemed to be in college or recently graduated. I’m not sure if this is how it always is or if this was just a different kind of night. We were all dressed up and the billiard table in the corner had tons of kids in sneakers so it was pretty awkward to realize that there was no dress code. Drinks are $ 15 on average and the service is pretty good. No complaints.

Oh lawdy… I grow old, I grow old, I shall wear my trousers rolled… Friends of friends invited us to partake in bottle service. Sounded like a strong offer. No one checking IDs on a Thursday night = college night. Whomp. Glad these underagers found a place to serve them. Not glad to be their babysitter. This is how the night at Lulu ends… Not with a bang but with a whimper
