Decent stand by, reliable for a good meal at average Hoboken prices. Love the outdoor seating. If you do sit outside brace yourself for the competing soundtrack from McSwiggans. I don’t mind a bit of music but at 7:30 at night it’s a bit much

I live a few doors down from here so it’s really a shame that their brunch is borderline disgusting. My friend found a hair in her bfast sandwich, she sent it back and it was blatantly obvious that the SAME sandwich, hair removed, was sent back. We watched the bartender water down the mimosas with club soda, and service was so slow and very poor. Never going back.

I haven’t been to this place in forever despite living right down the street, but I’m so glad a girlfriend and I randomly stopped in. We sat in the bar area and were waited on by Queenie(? — hope it didn’t butcher that). She was fantastic, super attentive, and able to recommend food & make our special drink requests. We split the dumplings, french onion soup, and buffalo wings — they were all great! Being from Western NY I’m super picky about wings and these were definitely worth ordering. The French onion was super hot and very flavorful, big plus. The dumplings were tasty too! All around we head a really great experience, which will bring me back to try more.

Great place, I always stop in when I visit the north-east. The food is great, the staff is friendly(and attractive) and the clientele are chill.

Tired to come here for Brunch at 1PM. Despite two tables being open, they were unable to seat us because they were waiting to clean the tables and the kitchen was jam-packed with orders. This tells me that this place is either understaffed or out of their depth. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere.

My first time dining at Marty O’s — potato skin appetizer and potato crusted salmon with lumps of crabmeat as an entrée. Potato skins came with 4 pieces. Both items were delicious and the salmon entrée was actually huge! The lump crab meat could’ve used a little more flavor but was good overall with the salmon. However, the Purple Haze draft I got tasted a skunk therefore knocking a star off for that. The waitress was very attentive. If you’ve been to Marty O’s and never tried their food, it’s a must! I’ll be back to try their brunch next!

I’ve been to Marty O’Brien’s a few times now, mainly for dinner and a drink. I have had their wings and their wrap. I am a huge fan of Buffalo Chicken Wraps and Martys does not disappoint. It’s on the spicier side of all the wraps I have had but it is the good kind of spice. The facilities are clean and the staff is nice. Service has been slow on numerous occasions but if you are not in a rush then this is perfect for you. Drinks here are the standard affair, you can not really mess up a beer. Location is ideal as it is close to the path and it is also not on the main drag so it does not get as packed as other bars. Come here just to try their buffalo chicken wrap.

Best wings in town! Chill bar with friendly service, nice change from the madness of Washington Street!

My family came here for brunch yesterday. My mom raved about the french toast and it was definitely good. My breakfast burrito was okay. No complaints! My fiancé had the hangover burger and my dad had steak and eggs. My mom and dad loved their dishes. My fiancé and I should have chosen better I guess! The place only has one gender neutral bathroom but it is kept very clean and we didn’t have to wait even though it was crowded. Overall I think it’s a great place for a quick bite and a drink. It wasn’t super WOWing but I would come here again if I was in the area! Is wowing a word? Definitely not.

Had great experience here last night. Four of us went for food and drinks. Our waiter was so run off his feet being I think the only waiter for like 8 tables. So he was doing his best. We ordered appetisers that were very tasty but unfortunately cold. Then are mains came out when we’re still eating our chicken wings(they were delcious). I got penne vodka & it was delicious. My husband got what he thought was a steak sandwich but was sliced steak on top of garlic fries(they’ve ere delicious) and 4 slides of toast underneath that. No mushrooms or onions like it said so bit confused on that. Other friends had penne vodka also & shrimp vegetable stir fry that was good. Her wine was not good — like vinegar and our waiter changed it and got new bottle opened. He was great! Made it a very good experience and alot to be said about having good staff! He’s a keeper! Overall I liked the curtain pulled across to block bar area and limited noise too which was great. Had a lovely evening! Just make sure food is checked to be hot when it comes out!

We came in one day for wing night(which is a great deal) and it’s become our go-to spot. My boyfriend and I have lived in Hoboken for 2 years and have brought many of our family and friends here for brunch and dinner. We really haven’t ordered anything on the menu that wasn’t delicious. On occasion the service is a little slow, but who rushes through brunch and free Bloody Mary’s anyway?

Always good times when here. Sweet groupon deal. Waitresses are always nice and friendly. Laidback environment with good food. We’ve been here multiple times food has has never disappointed. From the Reuben to the shepherds pie to the chicken Parm sandwich to the GIANT nachos. Portions are always generous and the FRIESARESOGOODANDCRISPY. Good HH specials. One of the few places I would come back to even without a groupon. :)

Awesome location in town, very fun, I’ve been on a lot of big days like St Pattys, Halloween, etc. The crowd is a nice age range(not too young as I’m 28) and the food is always really good! Good for groups and nice outdoor seating.

Don’t forget about Marty O’s! Although most of «broboken’s» sports bars are on Washington street’s main drag this is just a hop skip and a jump away. My experience here was so so… Certain things were standout, others not so much. We got a table outdoors and happy hour was goin on til 8. 4 dollar blue moon drafts — right on. There’s a pretty packed out food menu which is always good. I’m not sure how I would feel about ordering an entrée like chicken franchise or penne vodka here but there are a ton of sandwich and wraps that sound delish. Plus, you can get sweet potato fries or onion rings. Wowz. Where Marty O fell short was in the service and the crazy high prices. It took a solid 15 minutes for anyone to come over and help us. I was finally able to flag someone down who very reluctantly took our order. I wasn’t trying to bother anyone but the happy hour and my hunger were both time sensitive. We shared a grilled chicken wrap with avocado. The wrap was overstuffed with avocado and was bomb. It came with a generous portion of sweet potato fries. This dish would have been 8 – 9 dollars at almost any other sports bar and it’s 13 dollar price point was surprising. Service and high price points aside, it’s a solid pick to add into the Hoboken sports bar rotation. Especially if you want a break from wash street.

Friendly service and great beer. The food however wasn’t that great but hey it’s a bar! We arrived at around 7pm for dinner and drinks. The Brooklyn lager is excellent. Beers are $ 6/glass. Several tv’s are available for watching whatever sporting event you wish, our waitress was nice enough to ask what we want to see. For our appetizer we got the buffalo chicken tenders at $ 8. It was okay but a little on the oily side. Also I don’t think the chicken was freshly cooked. My husband got the sirloin burger which tasted old. The meat did not taste fresh and had a slimey/gamey taste to it. I got the chicken wrap with blackened chicken. The wrap had no flavor and the chicken didn’t seem to be blackened. Also I didn’t see any avocado or bacon in the wrap like the menu states. Sweet potato fries were the best part. All in all go here for the drinks/beer and tv’s!

If you get one thing here, get the wings. Seriously. Best wings I’ve had in any Hoboken bar, hands down. Lots of wings per order, not terribly expensive, and big, crunchy, and full of flavor. 100 stars out of 5 for the wings. For everything else — it’s your typical Hoboken pub. Literally, you can walk down the street, close your eyes, and pop into another one just like it. Food is average(definitely skip the nachos — not that good). At night it turns into your typical Hoboken bar scene — decent music, some bopping here and there. Not a proper dance place, but a good place to start off a night. Ample amount of TVs in the front if you want to watch a game. All in all — it’s your typical 3 star hoboken bar… except bumped up to a 4 because the wings were fantastic.

3.5 stars. This place is definitely better than your average bar food. I liked their wings a lot. Even though they were breaded and I usually don’t like that, they were nice and crispy and the sauce was delicious. We also had great service. I saw that a lot of things on the menu were served blackened but the salmon was not so I asked if I could have the salmon blackened and they had no problem doing it. It was so good! The portions were huge and everything was really good. If you want to go to a bar but also have a nice dinner, this is your place!

Grabbed some drinks and watched basketball with friends here on Saturday night. This being my first time I certainly enjoyed myself. We did not eat, so I can’t really comment on the food. However, the drinks were priced right where they should be and they have a great selection. The décor is pretty standard bar/pub with plenty of TVs if you want to catch a game. The staff was friendly and attentive and always around and ready to get us something else. I’d like to return to try the food, but as a drink spot this place is solid. We’ll definitely keep this in mind in the future for meeting up with friends who live near.
