I really like the food at Muscle Maker Grill. I have gone to a couple of it’s locations, but this was one was my least favorites. To start with, the prices are double what’s posted online. The entire place is pretty grungy and it does not uphold the standards of the other restaurants on Washington. What bothered me the most was how trashy the workers spoke. The one girl in the kitchen spoke extremely loud and cursed every other word. I’m not expecting this place to be a 5 star restaurant, but the workers should have the courtesy to watch their mouths at work.

I normally just go in and order something to go which is much quicker than delivery. I would call this fake healthy fast food. While yes it is technically healthier meal options than say McDonalds I think the only reason it tastes pretty good is probably because they load it with salt. That being said I’m a big fan of the Tuscany dish, the Mona Lisa wrap, and the Godfather dish. All are consistent and good in my book.

Waste of money. I ordered a «grilled chicken» omelette and received the smallest excuse for an omelette I have ever seen. Probably 2 small pieces of chicken in total and barely anything else… the bag weighed more. What do you hope to achieve by ripping off your customers on ingredients? I paid $ 8.55 and could have easily bought three grilled chicken breasts and brown rice from Aspen marketplace across the road for that amount. Won’t be coming here again.

Their food taste good, but the portions are so small given the high prices they charge

I ordered while at a friends house the yeh ha wrap was excellent! The side of pasta salad was so good too! The delivery came in 20 mins!!! I wish they were located near where I live because I would order more often really fast and fairly priced.

Hands down the worst food I’ve ever had. I used to order from MMG all the time. Unfortunately, the food has changed, management has changed, and this place is serious garbage now. I ordered turkey meatballs today and they seemed to be pieces of round sausage or hotdogs that they cut in half and passed as turkey meatballs. In the past, you’d get two large meatballs — ACTUAL turkey meatballs. The sauce that comes with the rocky balboa wrap was completely watered down. When I called the restaurant, the rep laughed and said she wouldn’t know because she doesn’t eat turkey meatballs. The new manager is cutting corners on the food and his/her staff. This person should get out of the restaurant business. Zero Stars

Worst delivery in Hoboken, ordered breafkast off Seamless and their menu is not accurate. I ordered an egg white sandwich which arrived yellow and full of yolk, a vitamin water zero — they delivered the regular full calorie drink. Not the biggest deal, unless you’re on a specific diet and don’t want the extra 250 calories. They also list coffee on the Seamless menu, but don’t actually have any at the restaurant. I would rate zero if I could.

Just WOW — I ordered a protein shake and a side… that’s it. Ordered for delivery. Distance from Muscle Maker to where i was = 2.1 miles Making a protein shake takes about 3 minutes My side order(very easy to make), on an average restaurant takes about 5 minutes to prepare. Ordered through the internet with wait time of 45 – 60 minutes Time it took my food to get to me… NEVERGOTTOME After waiting OVER2 hours for a simple protein shake and a simple side, I decided it was not worth the OVER2 hours wait anymore. I called and told them to forget it. No offer of a refund or maybe deliver again at a different date. As others have mentioned in their review AND hearing from friends and coworkers, it takes over the double the amount of time to deliver. I wished I have listen but I decided to give them a chance. It was a huge mistake. This place got be the worse when it comes to delivery. I guess the only time they will come and deliver your food in an hour(and if your lucky), under an hour is if your address is in the same block as the restaurant… even with that, delivery can still be over an hour. Maybe they are literally hunting down the raw ingredients in the wild or in the serengeti… or perhaps they go into NY or PA then go back to NJ? Bottom line, there is no excuse for a simple order to take OVER2 hours to deliver, especially when the distance for delivery is 2.1 miles I am left with a disgusted taste. Place should be called Time Waste Maker Fresh U is a great replacement that is also located in Hoboken.

The penne ala vodka was literally some ziti with jarred tomato sauce and 4 sad little chunks of chicken. I have nothing else to say… so disappointing.

My coworker and I ordered lunch from here today(via online) around 11:30AM. At about 11:50AM, an employee called to say that there wasn’t anymore cheddar cheese(which my coworker ordered with her meal) and was it ok to substitute it with mozzarella. The phone call lasted less than a minute and we assumed our food would arrive within the next 30 minutes or so(we’re located in Jersey City). Unfortunately, that was not the case; our food arrived at 2:00PM! At 1:00PM(an hour and 30 minutes after initially ordering) I called to find out where our order was and I was placed on hold, then told the driver was stuck in traffic but was about 5 minutes away. THIRTYMINUTES and still no food so I called AGAIN and was told the driver had delivered the food and yet my coworker and I were still hungry(and without our meal). At 2:00PM, our receptionist informed us that our food had been delivered(without a phone call from the driver). TWOAND A HALFHOURS later, our lunch arrived. The only positive was that my coworker loved her wrap and salad; my Texas Style nuggets were ok but my celery was wilted and inedible due to being in the container with my hot food(which was disappointing since I’m recovering from having my wisdom teeth extracted and am finally able to start eating solid foods). Overall, worst lunch delivery ever and I won’t order from here again. I would have given this review one star but my coworker enjoyed her food and although the delivery driver was extremely late, the staff I interacted with were very kind and tried to be helpful.

So I was browsing through Seamless, looking for a healthy place to order from and I thought I’d give this place a try despite the negative reviews. The delivery was fairly quick although I don’t like being charged a $ 3 delivery fee on top of a tip which I ALWAYS give delivery guys. I ordered a chicken breast entrée which includes a chicken breast fillet, a baked potato and some broccoli. On top of that I ordered a side order of brown rice and beans. It came out to $ 21.98 after $ 3 delivery fee(!!!) and tax. I didn’t feel like the portions justified the high price. The quality of the food was also subpar. Chicken breast was extremely small, chewy and dry. Broccoli was a bit tasteless as if it had been over steamed. The only thing they seemed to get right was the baked potato(which is hard to mess up). In conclusion I WOULDNOTRECOMMEND this place. Based on reviews they are a consistent disappointment when it comes to service and quality of food. For half the price of this food($ 22) I could get a bigger portion of food with a burrito bowl from Chipotle. If you’re going to charge this much for food, the food better be amazing and the portions better be generous. Thumbs down!

Currently annoyed. Ordered over an hour and half ago was told 30 –40 min! Who wants to eat dinner at 10 pm??? Called to check on order was told it was on its way(that was 30 min ago). Don’t order from here unless you expect to wait double the time they quote for your food. Now I just cancelled my order after the girl hung up on me 2 times. Don’t order from here

I’ve had from here on a few occasions now. I’ve had food delivered as well as walked in to dine. I will say the food is pretty good, portions are definitely on the smaller side for the price that you’re paying, but nonetheless tasty. My biggest complaint is the delivery service. Not only do they charge you a delivery fee(in Hoboken, seriously?), but they are slow as all hell. They seem to barely even know the town of Hoboken despite being here for over a year now. Honestly, you can get a lot more for your money in Hoboken. I’d try somewhere else.

My boyfriend and I order from this MMG location frequently — but last night was the last time. It took over an hour for delivery. At the 50 minute mark we had to call the restaurant and see what was taking so long. The girl said the delivery guy was on his way. 25 minutes later .our food finally arrives. Cold, soggy, and gross. There are way too many great food places in Hoboken(esp for wraps), to eat here again. This Muscle Maker Grill lost 2 customers.

Good spot, but wish they wouldn’t take on a $ 1 to everything versus their other stores(Hoboken is not really that«premium» of a town in terms of rent, and ingredients can still get there pretty easily); i feel like I am in Honolulu or London or at a tourist trap or airport. Great food though, super healthy, tasty, always filling and sustaining for a while, and really nice people work there. It is clean, fast, and a good overall experience. We love their spices and dressings(even though they are loaded with sodium to get a good flavor, they are fat free). Wraps, sandwiches, and salads and plates are all tasty.

The cons our food came cold and over an hour and a half later … The Pros the manager Alfonzo called me back and was lovely and understood why I was angry and took care of everything for us. It sucks when you get bad service but it does make up for it when people take time to correct the mistakes

What don’t you guys understand about extra sauce? Is the sauce so special that you have to hoard in in the back like King Midas’s gold? It’s sauce… share it. Anyway, you guys make decent, healthy food but I cannot accept an 1 hour and 45 minute wait time for delivery… While I fully appreciate the MMG franchise and will continue to be a customer in the future, I will never order from this location again as I have encountered time after time: poor service, general stinginess(see line one about sauce), and unacceptable wait time for delivery. This is Hoboken; in order to succeed you need to win customer loyalty every day because you are not the only game in town MMG. Sorry to say you have lost mine. Grow up Peter Pan.

It’s Friday, I don’t want to cook. It’s Friday, I don’t want go out. Seamless. So many options. Chinese food? Nah. I don’t want to wake up sweating egg rolls at 3am. Hummus Bar? YES. But it closed up and left. Sad. Indian Food? Maybe. 75 minute wait? I think not. Rejuice? Nope, they closed hours ago. Pizza? Nah. I could get a slice for $ 2.50, why would I pay so much more now? Deli? Sure. Italian type deli? Sure. EXCEPT I always subconsciously need a little parmigiana in my life on Friday and I don’t need 1,800 calories of sauced up delicious bready goodness to slowly digest overnight. Especially since the most exercise i’m getting tonight is walking to the door to get the food — Fridays are generally a no-gym day. MMG is always a good option. I’ve never had any issues with food quality; I generally gravitate towards the Tex-Mex Fajita wrap. The simpler the better. Salsa on anything is a good choice, and the cucumber salad as a side is really tasty. For $ 9(and tax and tip and delivery and tax) I know exactly how many calories I am consuming, and I know the food will taste good. Not much room in the store itself, but not a big deal when ordering delivery.

So, as a previous poster mentioned, I too have looked up the nutrition information for these entrees after an incident with a Rocky Balboa wrap that left me feeling quite ill. This is not health food, people. It is high protein, and often low carb, but very high in fat, including the dreaded saturated fat. That said, I don’t care. I’m a carnivore by nature and enjoy that this is a fast food option that believes in pairing meat with its meat. A turkey meatball wrap with grilled chicken in it? Check. Top that grilled chicken and rice meal with turkey bacon and a secret zesty sauce? Check. I’m on board. Throw in a vitamin water zero and a protein brownie and call me a meat head. I don’t care. And they serve late night. No lie, I was on my way back from the bar one evening when a friend was pounding away at his phone entering his order at 1am. I guess it’s never too late to get huge! My only issue is that this location is very small and lacks seating. That makes it difficult to get my protein fill up on the way to the path for a night of fist pumping in the city. 4 stars for the grub. 2 for the tiny store front with limited space to devour my meat.

So I came to New Jersey and this was my first time ordering take-out from Jersey. And I will tell you never again. Their stuff is a bit overpriced for what you get. Ordered an turkey omelette, I tell you an omelet, not a soggy omelet with unnaturally colored turkey. It wasn’t exactly tasty– just tasteless. I also ordered some penne al vodka with chicken. Chicken was okay but the pasta itself, overall, was super super dry. To the point where the sauce seemed somewhat crusty, like it had been left out for a while. Seamless also said it was large enough for two portions– it wasn’t. The delivery itself… Took about an hour. I’m not really used that, coming from NYC where everything usually takes about 30 – 45 minutes, as it states on Seamless. Happy I didn’t get food poisoning or a 3-hour late delivery, so I guess two stars for that… Is that really proper standard?
