I ate dinner for the first time on the lower level. Ambiance is an A+. They have an awesome fish tank covering the entire bar, high ceilings, with huge tv screens. The sushi was good. The general tsos chicken was more american style instead of chinese and I didn’t really care for it, which I can’t really hold against them because they say their an asian-fusion place. I think the ambiance, 50% monday and thursday for drinks and food more then makes this place a great option in Hoboken. Also, the service was really good. I didn’t get to try any of the dessert but it looked good. I’ll definitely be back to try more things on the menu as this place has a great atmosphere, great prices when 50% off, great service, and reasonable food.

I would have given them one star if not for the great ambience on a friday night when the restaurant turns to a lounge. We went for dinner and the food we ordered was ok. Until we discovered that they had served us lobster rolls stating that they were avacado – vege rolls! Since we had never had seafood, we did not know what lobster rolls taste like and did not know we had had seafood! Thankfully none of us had allergies. The manager was very rude when we pointed out that we asked for all vegetarian food and stated that we did not have sea food! In this day and age and in a place like hoboken, I was shocked to experience such shoddy service. Will not go back.

All-you-can-eat-Sushi-Tuesdays! For an hour, includes special rolls. Best deal ever. Also if you come before 7pm, get happy hour for half-off drinks. The sake sangria and lychee martini were off the hook and only $ 6 with the HH special. We left full and drunk. Good times. Also the giant fish tank at the back of the bar is sweet. Oh also the manager dropped by with a free shrimp app on-the-house AND free edamame in the beginning of the meal. Awesome service.

I went there for happy hours for a meetup in Hoboken. There were plenty of space available but we were not even once offered to sit at a table. We were a group of 7, standing in the bar area. The barman was really rude to us and the cocktails were only made of ice. The dinner section of the restaurant seemed nice but I have not tried any food. I do not recommend this place for happy hours.

The food was absolutely wonderful. We went today(Saturday) for brunch and really enjoyed the food. We did not like the blueberry hush puppies, we ordered it for our son and it wasn’t amazing. A little blah and plain tasting. The hostess was a little unprofessional. Talked to another worker quickly in front of us when she was going to seat us. We had our food and I guess she forgot to set our silverware. The service was terrible. It took 15 minutes to get our drinks. Mind you, we ordered an Ultimate Brunch which is their unlimited mimosas for 2 hours. It was so bad, we ordered 2 at once and decided to just leave after one hour. I was planning on staying and utilizing my last hour. I would say it’s a decent place though. We took our son and friends here for his 1st birthday party dinner last year. Weekend night people seem to be better at their job.

I recently had my engagement party at Teak upstairs and it went beyond my expectations! Mallory did a fantastic job running the party and even setting up the space the way we envisioned it. Her experience and expertise made the night run very very smooth! Her and her staff were amazing and they were there every step of the way making sure everyone had what they needed at all times. The food was amazing. The sushi was so fresh and the set up was just beautiful, thanks to the server Jonathan. Also the kung pao chicken was out of this world. The bartender Ben was very responsive to our requests, making a signature cocktail to hand out to our guests when they walked in… which everyone loved and was a nice touch! We couldn’t have asked for a better night, and are still hearing how great the party was and how nice the restaurant was. They even made us mini champagne bottles to hand out as a gift to the guests with our wedding date on them. Great job to Mallory and her team at Teak!

I’ve had two experiences here, one nightlife and one dining. Both were meh… Nightclub: If you’re looking to go out and get SUPERRATCHET, this is the place for you. Teak turns its lights out at night to become a nightclub/lounge type of venue, and it gets prettttyy trashy. Drinks sloshing everywhere, gogo dancers on makeshift platforms, people pushing and shoving or makin’ out — that kind of ratchet. I definitely did not have enough drinks in me to handle this environment. A couple of notes: drinks aren’t cheap, and I know of some serious issues people have had with the bouncers here… Restaurant: We found out that they have a deal on Tuesdays for $ 20 all you can eat sushi, which we were excited about. Kind of disappointing though. I can be kind of picky with my sushi — the rice has to be the right texture, the proportion of rice to fish(and other ingredients) has to be correct, the rolls have to be prepared properly, etc. The sushi here did its just in satisfying a craving, but it was really nothing special. There are better sushi places in Hoboken, but you get what you pay for, amirite? Not terrible for the price. I’d say, if you’re looking for quality, go elsewhere, but if you’re just looking to get a good deal and satisfy a craving, come here.

I would have given it 4 stars, but the bartender made me feel weird. I was just killing time waiting for my train. I had 2 glasses of wine and asked for the bill. I decided on a 3rd glass. she said«I already ran your card». I said you can add one more drink right? I use to be a bartender and I know that computer system is micros just print another trailer. I ended up knocking the third wine over by accident. I was embarrassed. I was gathering my things, and I just kinda knocked it over. The people around me were pleasant but, I think I was shocked the bartender didn’t even offer to give me a new one(I took one sip, it was full) I kept saying I was sorry, but I felt like the workers were a bit rude. The customers were cool. My glass was full I had only taken a sip. Nevertheless my first and last time.

This review is for the club/lounge only since we did not eat here and only came to hang out for a birthday party. Be ready to wait outside, the bouncer makes people wait to attract more people to come despite the place not being busy. They charge a cover, luckily we said we were with a party and let us right in. There are two floors for your dancing pleasure. Music ranges from pop, dance, and rap. Drink range around $ 12 each for a 6 oz glass. There is a $ 40 minimum for credit cards so be ready to spend tonight and Gets crowded around one am! Free parking on street after 9 pm– good luck with that one.

I’m a huge fan of Teak — it’s the only place outside of Manhattan that my company will book for an event. We’ve booked Teak a couple of times, most recently in March of 2016. They were amazing. The ambiance of the venue is pretty amazing. The bottom floor, where we were, was large enough that you didn’t feel cramped, but still felt cozy. The fish tank and Asian-themed ambiance helped contribute to the laid back and relaxed feel. The aquarium behind the bar is attractive, the prep station for the sushi chefs are cool to look at, and the tvs were large without being distracting. If food is the big reason to go anywhere, you’ll get your money’s worth. My company ordered passed hors d’oeuvres for several dozen people! The food kept coming, and the quality was consistent and great. The chicken satay were super yummy, and I couldn’t stop eating them. I also had the pot stickers, which were as good or better than any place I’ve ordered them in the past. Though I’m not a big shellfish fan, everyone in our event said the shrimp appetizers were perfect. Sauces were never too much(nor too salty, too savory, etc. … they got this just right!). Finally, I’ve ordered dinner items on my own … everything came quickly, servings were large, and they nailed it. Regarding staff, and especially for corporate events, they nailed the customer service piece. We had a strict budget and they worked with me to make sure I got the most bang for my buck. It looked like we paid an awful lot more than we actually did … another reason Teak always makes my short list to host an event. I worked with Mallory, an event manager, and she knew her stuff. Everyone(from the servers to the hostess to the cleanup crew) was super responsive. We were a large bunch, but Mallory and team took great care of us. We will use Teak again for our company events. I live in Manhattan, but I’ll personally head back to Teak with friends to show them we can still have a good time without the typical Manhattan wait and hassle.

This is the perfect example of how most«asian fusion» places just don’t cut it. But my friend & i both got the duck; she loved it, i didn’t. It was too sweet for me. I went to a birthday dinner here last night. Happy hour is till 7pm and most foodz were half off. The bartender was helpful and her drinks were good but a lil weak. I loved the Tokyo Sundown. She recommended the sweet & spicy wings which was prob the best dish of the night. Sushi is whatever but its cheap. pad thai was doused in fish sauce, and the lobster mac sauce was bland with maybe 3 lil slivers of lobster. Chicken lettuce wraps & lobster avocado spring rolls were good. Biggest disappointment was my duck. It was undercooked & the plum sauce was way too sweet. Wasabi mash was weird & confusing. My friend loved her duck so maybe I just got a bad cut of meat that wasn’t cooked right. I wouldn’t come here with high expectations. Come for the swanky interior, happy hour & apps! Not a fan of their bumpin wknd nights.

Teak is one of a kind! So hard to find a place in the NYC area that’s fancy, had beautiful décor, great drinks, and great prices! It’s very classy and elegant with drapes, chandeliers, fish tanks, and beautiful welcoming string lights outside. I love their sushi and drink specials throughout the week. AYCE sushi on tuesdays & ½ off sushi & drinks monday & thursday. The sushi here is pretty good and they have all the sushi you can think of and awesome special rolls also. My favorite rolls are the Teak Sunrise roll & Pink Cheetah roll. Also their seaweed salad is great. I love how it’s also across from the PATH&NJ Transit so you can get a quick bite while you’re waiting for the train or don’t feel like walking far in Hoboken with friends after you get off the train. That’s how I first discovered Teak, i constantly passed it and it never really interested me to go until now. There’s also a club upstairs, I’ve never gone but the loud music makes it hard to talk over. I’ve heard the club is good, gets very crowded sometimes.

Food was great! I came here for a Valentines Day brunch, we wanted to beat the rush of the 4pm pre fixed rush so we decided to come around 1:30pm. Pretty relaxed around this time. Again, the food was great! Our waiter was a bit slow and it seemed like he was the only person in charge of all the guest during this time as well. So, he wasn’t that attentive to our needs as we would’ve liked him to be. Other than that this place is good for a cute little date.

Meh. That’s the best way to describe. Food not so good. We ordered The sake sangria special which was the sweetest drink ever. We could’ve just poured sugar in our mouths. Service was so so. However I think the place looks pretty cool. A very large wall of a fish tank. And big TVs. But I wouldn’t come here to watch games … Also. The sushi special was not so special unless you can eat a ton of sushi. But it’s a limited selection. So meh.

I don’t know how this place even has three stars or remains in business. First, I agree with another reviewer that the rolls seem premixed/prepared prior to the ordering. It’s not made to order and, while I understand that a lot of people like spicy mayo, it’s also a way to cover up not-so-fresh sushi. We each also ordered the $ 12 fruity sake cocktail which was WAYTOOSWEET. If I wanted to eat liquid candy, I’ll just chug some sunny D. We went on a Tuesday and found out there was a rolls special. DONOTGETTHAT — unless you’ve starved for a week, you’re really paying $ 20 or so for 2 rolls. Which is fine. but it’s a gimmick. You don’t really want to order more than 2 rolls, or do you? It’s a HELLLOTOFRICE. The rice to soosh ratio was RIDICULOUS. I’m half jap so I don’t expect much from fusion places like these, but seriously? THATIS A RIPOFF. It was a roll of rice with bits of fish to top off, making it somewhat presentable. But. you might as well spare a couple bucks more and get rolls from the regular menu — because, I’m sure that has to have a better rice-soosh ratio. The décor/ambiance is fine, but I found the people there a bit pretentious. The one positive thing? hm… let’s see. The bar area is cool, as it faces a giant wall aquarium. This place is SERIOUSLYOVERPRICED. For garbage food, I’d rather not eat, not pay, and PEACE. Ugh. #thanksbutnothanks Oh, and on a Tuesday, of course I didn’t think I needed reservations. but the seats that were offered by the hostess were ridic. She offered two tables near her and near the door. WHAT? ITISFREEZINGOUTSIDEANDYOURRESTAURANTISHALF(if that) EMPTY. So we opted for the high top when she offered that in response to my wrinkled nose. Service was spotty — I had to wave down the waiter a couple times. Shouldn’t be happening when the place was pretty empty. I’d come here for some drinks if I’m dying of thirst when getting off the PATH, but NEVER will I eat here again.

My work has been throwing its annual holiday party at Teak for the past 3 years. I can definitely see why the staffs look forward to returning year after year! Welcomed by the festive décor(giant Christmas tree ornaments hanging from the ceiling) and cozy balcony floor(perfect for private event), there was no doubt we were in for a treat! My co-workers teased me for saving my stomach in preparation of party. So glad I did because there were plenty of scrumptious, irresistible finger foods passed around. Juicy Angus beef sliders, crunchy jumbo coconut shrimp, meaty crab cakes and so much more! If it wasn’t because of my expiring parking I would had stayed and ate my way through closing(I have no shame when it comes to food hehe). Would definitely return to check out the rest of the menu whenever I find myself in Hoboken!

The only reason this doesn’t get a 1 star is the cuteness of the décor. Really. (It’s pretty snooty and stuck up in there) But does that warrant 18 $ for a sushi roll that is so tiny and uneventful that I’m leaving feeling hungry? Absolutely not. Even at half off. 1/Let me put it this way, I’m a petite girl and usually one specialty roll is way more than enough for me to be pretty full and content but here the 18 $ snow roll was so small and tasteless and meager that I could have eaten 4 and still be hungry. Really. I don’t even know if I could say there was fish in there. I tasted mostly tempura and rice. 18 $? More like 6 would still be not reasonable! 2/their sushi is premixed, seriously. The waitress told me when I was asking to substitute the tuna for salmon. Normally shouldn’t be a problem right? I mean instead of cutting tuna, you cut salmon and you roll it up and voila. Obviously not made fresh or there. Even less reason to pay 18 $ I then asked if I could at least have non spicy tuna, guess what? It’s premixed so no. I don’t think it’s an unreasonable request. So 18 $ even less. 3/The shrimp appetizer was puny and really not good. All in all, IF you are coming here for sushi, please do yourself and your wallet a favor and don’t even bother. Go to those cheaper place where the rolls are huge and the price is half. You will actually get fresh fish instead of premixed premixed ridiculouslessness. I really completely regret coming here and wasting my money. Never again, not even for«happy» hour.

Teak has been a place I been coming to for a while now. I have tasted most of their Asian fusion menu items. Most r very delicious. Let’s start off with the décor. It’s is such a great vibe walking in here. The first thing u notice is the«2400 gallon fish tank«with coy and jellyfish swimming around. It’s an Asian theme with nice lighting. It’s two floors the Resturant turns into a night club after diner service. The food is really delicious and comes out pretty quickly. All the sushi I had there was good spicy girl, pink leopard to name a few. The salmon flower and the rock shrimp r delicious. They are my go to apps. The fried rice with the egg on top and the pad Thai were also amazing. Didn’t like the teak balls I like raw tuna and when they fry the teak ball the tuna would get way over cooked or spare ribs they are obviously precooked but were on the dry side and shumai I had better. Drinks are nice the twisted fig was my favorite All and all it’s an amazing place to dine and have a fun time. They have daily specials I posted Olin my tips. Monday and Thursday 50% off food all day. Those are the days I usually go and get my sushi fix on. If ur in the area don’t hesitate to stop by
