Last wash at 7:45? And half the machines are broken. This place should be avoided. Go to a professional laundry mat instead.

If this place wasn’t on my block, I’d avoid it. The machines seem to wash and dry clothes just fine but half or more of them are on the fritz at any given time. The cheapskates who own this place won’t fix them. It’s very much Old Hoboken — giving a big FU to the customers. You’re there to accommodate them.

I usually drop my laundry off here and pick it up in the evening. Yes, they like to shrink my cotton clothes … but overall, they do a good job for $.85 a pound. Today, I needed my clothes done sooner, so I decided to use their self-service machines. BIGMISTAKE! They have large washers for $ 5.50 and smaller washers for $ 4.50. These washers are ok … even though the quarters get stuck and you might have to hit it. The dryers are horrible. I put $ 1.25 in the dryer, the dryer started and then stopped. The dryer reset itself like I never put money into it. I tried to tell the attendant, but she didn’t understand what I was saying. Therefore, I lost $ 1.25. I put a few pounds of clothes in one dryer and a few pounds of linens in the other. I put 70 minutes on both dryers … let’s just say, it took 2HOURS in the dryers for the clothes to be dry. 2HOURS !!! So, to clean my laundry, it has cost me over $ 20 and hours and hours of my time. I am so disappointed in Willow Laundry … and I am going to have to find another place to go. Anyone … any suggestions?

There are 2 sides to Willow laundry; one for self-service and 1 for drop-off laundry. Although I have not used that yet the place looks like it is in horrible condition. Prices are $ 0.85 cents a pound. They are separated by the building’s staircase. I have only used their self-service side but can say that I dread going. There are 2 smaller washing machines for $ 3.50 each or 6 larger machines for $ 4.50 that hold up to 2 week’s worth of laundry. Overall, the washing machines are ok. The 7 dryers hold large loads but some are always broken and some of the ones that do work do not get hotter than room temperature even on the highest setting. Others keep too high a temperature even when the temperature is turned down. It’s nice to save money over delivery services but at what cost? It makes more sense and works better to use one of the many pickup and delivery options in the area.

This place is Hoboken’s best laundromat. The staff is comprised of very sweet ladies who are akin to your mother doing your laundry. They are very accomodating as to when you want to pick up your laundry and they’ll hang dry clothing you don’t want put in the dryer. They treat your clothes with the kind of care you’d want them to… again, it’s like your mother doing your laundry for you. And the price is reasonable. There’s a place on Washington and 7th or 6th that is way more expensive.
