Really love their breakfast, however, their coffee has a very funky aftertaste to it. The atmosphere is really nice, and the wait staff seems friendly as well. Really wish they would change their coffee or provide another option.

This is my favorite breakfast spot, when I’m in the area. Food is unique but comfortingly simple. Coffee is fantastic. Staff is super friendly.

Went to Drip Café for a take-out Caesar Salad… what I received was two leaves of wilted lettuce, small pile of shredded cheese and bottled Caesar dressing(not made fresh) and two halves hard boiled egg. I asked the manager if there was a mistake and she politely told me that is how Drip serves an $ 8 Caesar Salad. Clearly this place is hapless and overpriced. Stay away from this amature, rip-off luncheonette.

Absolutely favourite place for a meal. Sometimes slow service but the food is worth the wait.

We’ve only been to Drip Café once, but we’re prepared to move in. Highlights of Drip Café include: * Food, service, and ambiance. Lowlights include: * There’s only so much food we can eat. Okay, I’ll be a little more specific. The eggs are cooked beautifully and make delicious filings to sandwiches and/or burritos. The potato hash, featuring russet, red, and sweet potatoes, is incredibly satisfying(plus, they give you like four pounds of it). We didn’t get some of the fancier offerings, like crab hash the strawberry/rhubarb bake, but the people around us are all in various states of ecstasy, so I’m guessing they’re quite good. But the pancakes. Oh, sweet heaven above, the pancakes. Probably the best I’ve had in the state. Fluffy, big, absolutely delicious. I just want to strap them to my body and roll around.(TMI? Too bad.) I never write a review based on one visit, but I’m making an exception here. As Arnold would say, get yo a$$ to Drip Café. You’ll be happy.

Was here for breakfast. Got Cali sandwich and Silimakuta coffee. Both were excellent. Service friendly and fast, nice, casual vibe. Liked the menu and definitely will come back to explore it more. Update Went for lunch Split with my son spicy cauliflower/chickpeas tacos with avocado & green salad– underwhelming. Sweet potatoes fries were really good!

On one of my last mornings in Delaware after living there for many years, I finally paid a visit to Drip Café, which had been recommended to me a number of times prior. I should have listened earlier. It was great! The coffee was great, staff was nice(but not all that attentive at the bar, where I was sitting), patrons were friendly, and I was stuffed after barely finishing my awesome scrapple eggs benedict. Distance-wise from Newark, I probably prefer Homegrown, WFPS, and Taverna for weekend brunch, but this was a more affordable and welcome alternative.

This is probably the best Breakfast/Brunch spot to me out of Delaware. Menu is quite unique and extensive. Food quality is better than most places I’ve been too. Coffee is good. Staff is superb. No complaints.

This is my favorite breakfast place in the area. I love the food, the coffee, the staff. I really love the French Toast, but I don’t know that I have a favorite menu item. I love most everything on it. Well except the scrapple. I don’t know how anyone could eat that… lol

Upped my rating, as my last two visits were really good! Scrapple eggs benedict is awesome, as is the Cali Egg Sandwich. We often order a short stack of pancakes to share. Pour over coffee is really good too, but you need to be picky about what you choose. Its not dark roast like starbucks. The roasts are all medium and very flavorful.

Secret gem has awesome breakfast food and French press coffee. Nice atmosphere although seating is very limited. Be prepared to wait for a table is you aren’t there early on a weekend day. Servers are all polite and attentive.

I literally wanted to order the whole menu but that would have defeated my purpose of being healthy today. We ordered the calamari to start… I only had two pieces but it was pretty tasty the sauce was awesome. We also ordered the tomato soup and OMG yes. For my meal I ordered the florentine sandwich. It was very good and tasted fresh. I wish there would have been more seasoning but I added some salt and that quickly solved the problem. Also had a side of avocado. My friend ordered the caramel apple pancakes and I obviously had to sample them. THEYAREAMAZING. Cooked to perfection. Soft and fluffy and the banana and apples were great. Overall awesome place. Loved it.

The food was flavorful; cooked perfectly. The pancakes presented like fluffy pillows. The eggs ran to my bread like a slow yellow molasses river and left a firm, thin ring of yolk around the edge of the whites. Loved it! But why? Why. Why is the coffee so contrary. We had a French press special brew, El Cedro: the sweet cup. Two things– It did not steep long enough because it resembled tea — and tasted sour, like it had been sitting around on a heater for some time(which I’m sure did not actually happen). All three of us agreed. And one of those people is my mother who adds hot water to her half decaf coffee as a regular practice. Anyway, the waitress poured it into our cups at a clip and then removed the press from the table before we could even think to address the translucent liquid in our cups. See, without a first cup of coffee we were too slow to protest. Cruel world. We supplemented this round with the house brew. Better but not much body. Very disappointing.

This has got to be my favorite restaurant around. The staff would be awesome enough to keep me smiling even if the food ever wasn’t above and beyond my expectations, but that just isn’t the case. Every dish is creative and delicious! Not enough stars to give… a must try!

When I first suggested eating at this café, BF was skeptical — would it really be worth the 20 min trek from downtown Wilmington to Hockessin for brunch? The answer is absolutely yes. The café itself is adorable. It’s situated in the Lantana Square shopping center with ample parking. It gets busy on the weekends, but during the week, it’s easy to get a table. The whole place is decked out in local artwork that’s also for sale, and the food is appropriately priced and affordable. I ordered the Kale and Bacon Breakfast Hash on both of my visits. I absolutely loved it on my first visit and faced the always difficult choice of eating something tried and true or attempting to strike gold again. However, in my constant debate between sweet vs savory brunch, this dish wins out. Crispy bacon is offset by roasted sweet potatoes and a maple glaze allowing for the perfect sweet-salty combo that perfectly satisfies both of my cravings. The whole dish is tied together with a fried egg, roasted white potatoes, and kale in a perfect portion size for me. BF ordered the breakfast burrito with turkey sausage, which is also excellent, though he admitted he liked my hash better. I have a bad habit of going to Drip when I’m in between night shifts and not allowed to order caffeine. However, my sips of BF’s iced coffee were delightful and I look forward to trying their pour-over coffee in the future(perhaps in the same visit when I finally force myself to try another dish, too!).

Cute little restaurant. The hot chai tea latte was sooooo good! I got the corn chowder soup for my meal and it was the best corn chowder I’ve ever had. Definitely a high quality place.

Delicious food, great selection and wonderful and accommodating staff. The black bean sliders are incredible — there are so many other things on the menu that I want to try but these are just too good. One of the few local food oriented restaurants in the area — it feels good to give them your support and business.

My daughter is a college student at Goldey Beacom. We were in the area and looking for brunch. We found this restaurant. I ordered the fried egg over kale with sweet potato hash. My daughter ordered the caramel pancakes. The food was delicious!!! The eggs done just right, the whole dish just came together. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her caramel pancakes. The portions were large and filing. I also ordered their coffee and it was also delicious. The service was great and I will be back! What a great find!!!

I’m always on a quest for that perfect veggie burger or vegan anything for that matter in Delaware mainly bc there is no Drop Squad Kitchen I can go to after I get off work. Today my quest brought me only a mile away from home. I was craving a good #cupofjoe so I’m like let me try Drip Café. I’ve been wanting to stop in and I just never have the time. I was in total shock. This is a full fledged restaurant, lol. The atomosphere was all earthy, woody, and dope. People and menu wise, it was wayyyy diverse for #Hockessin. Let me tell you… I grew up here and I still cringe when I walk into even the anchor stores around here. I like when a place is packed and I have to wait… good sign. Oh. wait…every other staff member kept asking us if we had been taken care of. Anyhoot, the dude with the earrings, hat and glasses was super friendly and knowledgeable. I asked how was the house coffee was and he gave my mom and I a sample why we waited. #Goodstuff I know because my mom does not do her coffee black. Meanwhile I was able to study their other blends. The Sabri blend of hemp and coconut and stuff caught my attention and I was told by the friendly guy with the hat and glasses that it was his favorite. By the time we are seated, I am really and truly digging this place. I love the art on the wall for sale, I loved the menu design and I loved that the first thing I saw was the black bean burger… great menu placement. I of course ordered it. There were other scrumptious looking veg options but like I said, I’m always looking for that perfect vburger. I convinced my mom to get the caramel apple pancakes and we split a mixed green salad and sweet potato fries. The pancakes were hands down the best in the area… period. If you are a strict vegan beware bc they are made with egg. I could only eat a bite or two before the gag thing happens… but ijs. I know good fresh food. I give it an A++ caramel apple sauce included. Let’s talk about the black bean burger though. The presentation gets and A. The bun gets and A++. The flavor gets a B+ and the texture gets a C. I know veggie. I’ve been like this since 1993. If you are looking for a more meaty type veggie burger that will NOT fall apart don’t order this. I on the other hand WILL order it again because it felt clean and wholesome. I also liked that it is served cut in half. Good move y’all. The sweet potato fries were a B and that is ONLY because they were not fresh and handcut. I don’t like that. Ima just get their cute little mixed green salad on the side next time. The dressing was banging. I kept dipping my veggie burger in it.#hint So I’m wanting to end my meal off with this Sabri coffee blend I was telling you about… I asked the waitress if they have any non dairy creamer like soy and natural sweetener like Agave. They did. They also have almond milk. Soy usually tends to yield a more creamy consistency so that’s what I asked for. It curdled. Booooo. I was thinking because they served it to me cold instead of steamed or warm. NOPE. Well, the assistant manager and fellow vegan comrade and advocate, Kele Webner, recognized us as the owners of a local Vegan restaurant, and she came over, greeted us and explained that it was the brand of soymilk that makes it curdle. True. She asked us how we felt about everything and I stated pretty much what I already wrote above. Kele taking the time out to come over and her knowledgebase was just the icing on the cake for me… This is definitely a new hangout for me and mines. I’ll be back. Thank you. Great experience and customer service was through the roof. Special shout outs to our super helpful, patient, waitress. I know we vegheads can be annoying. If we were you did not show it. I like that. PEACE
