Cost Cutters

The price is good and the place is also not bad but the employees and one in particular has driven me to give 1 star. That lady entered me in the system and she was clipping hair of one guy and then it was more than ½ hour that I was waiting and she is not taking any care that someone is waiting. She will stop in the middle and then tell him stories and then after 5 – 7 mins start clipping again. By then it was 45 mins and one another guy came in and he addressed her by her name. So that guy also started waiting, so after 50 mins or so she was done with the first guy and then she called the person to sit at the chair who had just came in. She did not even bother that I have been waiting for more than 45 mins now. I asked her and she said the other person will take care of me.
This is how they treat people in that location. Particularly that woman — Angela.

Horrible! My daughter was supposed to get a 2″ trim on her long hair. She ended with hair 3″ longer on one side, I am not exaggerating. I could’ve done better job myself without having any experience. We didn’t want to go back to fix it since my daughter is already upset that her hair is too short. The hairstylist — Angela, was not rude, but appeared to be bored and disinterested. We’ve been to this place before, but this is the worst experience ever, we are definitely NOT coming back.

Regular place to go to. Pretty good. Sometimes crowded.

Very unhappy with this location. The store apparently closes whenever it wants. I showed up 10 minutes before closing to buy shampoo. The doors were locked and the blond standing at the register indicated they were closed. We have been here several times for trims for my daughters, but I hate poor service and rudeness when I am trying to spend my money.

Got my hair cut, and guess what? Awesome. The lady did a fantastic job, then after I explained how much time I give myself in the morning to get ready and out the door, which is very minimal, she showed me two products. Used one product on one side, the other on the other side. Showed me how little time it took to require and how it looked and felt. We agreed which one looked the best and bought the products.
Love my new short hair cut.
Oh, they also have a sale for $ 8.89 haircuts, which is normally $ 13.99 and buy one product, get one half off.

I actually visited this place when it first opened a few years ago and I have to say I’ve never ever been back. The stylist I got was completely inexperienced, only I didn’t know it until after my haircut when I got home. She used the eyeball approach when it came to cutting my hair «evenly». It looked fine there but when I got home and washed my hair, I realized my hair was 2 different lengths! I called the next day to ask about getting it corrected because I had to attend a wedding over the weekend and needed it fixed. The person I spoke to said they were open until 7PM and to come in before then and they’d fix it. I told her I would be there at 6 PM right after work, but when I got there THEY WERE CLOSED!!! No note on the door about having to close early. What kind of business are they running? I ended up having to go to Great Clips in Streamwood and pay to get it fixed. Thankfully the stylist there knew what she was doing.
I will never go to Cost Cutters even though it’s so close to my house. It’s not worth the headache and aggravation. Great Clips, Hair Cuttery, and Supercuts are 1000 times better.
