A year ago, it was a nice and probably overpriced apartment. Since then, the management has changed hands and basically every interaction with the new guys besides paying rent is a bit of a headscratcher. E.g. they tow cars for expired stickers, whereas the police just ticket for it. I’m not sure why the building management is handling it so much more aggressively than the police do. Also, I feel like they’re sort of short on actually putting work into management. Earlier today, the building management no-reply emailed us that«We have received several calls today about solicitors from an energy company being on the property. Be aware SOLICITORSARENOTALLOWEDONTHEPROPERTY. If a solicitor comes to your door, ask them to leave the property and let them know you will be calling the police. Then, call the police.» If there is a security situation, I’d suggest that they do something(e.g. have security cameras installed) rather than annoyedly note that tenants are calling them rather than the police about something that might not be serious enough to warrant a police call. I wish they treated security as seriously as expired plates. :-/ Also, I’d recommend double-checking everything before signing the lease. E.g. they verbally offered me a 6 month lease but actually wrote up the lease as 9 months. Then they tried to sell me on an apartment which has a washer-dryer in the master bedroom. That’s probably the worst place in an apartment to put a loud appliance :-/.The salesperson mentioned that there had been some sort of space issue preventing them from putting in the utility closet where it’s shown on the promotional floor plans. Not mentioning that upfront feels like a sketchy bait-and-switch. I’ve given them 2 stars in the off-hand chance that both were just honest memory lapses. On the plus side, the tenants are super-friendly and pleasant.

I strongly advise not to move here and will move out after lease expires. The new management is horrible for many reasons, but for one the towing is overly aggressive and done every night. On 01⁄07 after midnight my car was illegally towed for«expired plates», even though my plates are not expired. I went into the office to find out why my car was towed and there was a rep from the towing company there to answer all the questions from people about why their cars’ were told. I first talked to the front desk attendant and she was the aggressor immediately and said I didn’t have the new stickers. I told her that I just got the new sticker the previous month, and she continued to blame me and denied I got a new sticker and with a smarmy attitude said that she had«only been sending out notices the past three months to get new stickers.» Eventually the tow truck operator confirmed that my car was tow for expired plates. When I showed that my plates were not expired neither him or the front desk attendant cared and both said I wasn’t following the rules. After paying $ 172 to get my car back sometime before midnight I received a sticker on my windshield saying my car would be towed with 24 hours. So with in 24 hours I was towed and then notified I would be towed again even though I showed both my leasing office and the towing company my plates were not expired.

Apartments are nice and spacious but the majority of the residents are east Indians. Parking is atrocious! Towing is done nightly for guests if you don’t notify the towing company each night and visitor parking is sparse. Neighbor was towed because his tires were touching the yellow line-really? Snow removal in the winter is the worse I have ever seen in any place I have ever lived. The office closes early when it snows and the parking lots are left unplowed till the next day leaving cars stuck in the lots. For the rent the maintenance of snow removal of parking lots and sidewalks are awful and when you call the office their response is, «we are doing the best we can.» Won’t be renewing after 1 year!
