Caputos is a great Italian deli. Their sandwich selection has everything anyone would want from an Italian market. They have a bunch of different cold cuts and all of the pre made sandwiches on the menu seem to have a different flavor emphasis whether it is a club or Italian meats or other salami type. I have had a few different sandwiches there and enjoyed all of them. Sandwiches aren’t the only thing they have. There’s a market with cheeses, sauces and bread, as well as any other Italian foods you can think of. This is in a good location in the heart of Holladay and is the perfect place to have lunch. Check it out!

Yummy sandwiches. I like to get the caprese and add turkey! It’s so delicious! Even though this is not the first location, it is just as good!

This place is the reason I wish Unilocal would let us put 6 stars. Absolutely perfect little shop. We went to a chocolate tasting class and loved it, Matt is a master at all things chocolate, wine, and just good food in general. After the class, he let us taste whatever we wanted, no charge at all. Also, even though they were technically closed, they heated up a bowl of French Onion soup with homemade croutons for me. I love how concerned they are with their customers. They don’t care about selling to make money, they care about selling to make someone happy and share in the same love they have for delicious food. Mason helped us out and was super helpful. They also had a 50% off table and I bought some Argentine Dulce de Leche. Just wow! This place takes the cake on everything! Hats off to Tony Caputo(Matt’s Father) for creating a company that will leave a legacy of legit cuisine!

Ahhhh, the joys of having a Caputos close to my house. I was pretty excited to see that this opened a while ago, and i’ve been frequenting it for a year or so. If you’ve never been, Caputos is a great place for lunch, dinner or small(hard to find even) groceries. They also have a great deli with a ton of cheese that i can’t pronounce or understand. The sandwich menu has a lot of «regular» things like turkey, but they also have some fun combinations that are nice to try from time to time. My last visit was my favorite as the guy working recommended the special which was prosciutto with tomatoes, balsamic glaze and a few other things… it was incredible. What I really like is that he went out of his way to do several things: 1. Recommended something I’ve never tried, but made sure i would like it before i paid. 2. As i was waiting, had his coworker grab me a few cheese samples(yes, i bought some after that!) that were incredible. The service has only gotten better and the food is fantastic. Why only 4 stars you ask? It can be pricey… specialty stores always are, but it’s definitely worth checking out.

Low key, super fresh, lots of unique options, had some authentically European flavors. Lizzie was really friendly, along with the sandwich guy. Will come again.

Love this place. The sandwiches are divine. I have eaten here often and bought lunch for my employees who love it as well. Great market as well to buy authentic meats and cheeses.

Always a favorite of mine at the 15th and 15th location. Amazing staff at the holiday location as well. Obviously a reflection of the owners. Good selection of beer and wine, Italian meats, cheese and olives, speciality foods and much much more. Try the refrigerated pastas to go. Incredible! Also they do live Jazz on the patio Friday’s in the summer, which is quite good. I frequent this shop and have never once had a bad experience or not enjoyed the unique taste they bring to Utah. I would give it 50 stars if I could.

The people running the restaurant were friendly, the place was clean. The sandwich was just… Ok. I asked to hold the mayonnaise and they forgot. I expected from the reviews to eat something that stood out but not really. I will say the soup was pretty darn good. We’ll see …

The meats and cheeses are so flavorful and fresh and they know how to put together a super dope sandwich. It’s a bit out of the way for me to get to, but it’s so good that I know I will be making the effort to go back. Dining in is a very casual atmosphere, and even during a busy lunch hour they get the sandwich orders out pretty quickly. The market is also fun to browse and purchase some very interesting items that you don’t see at the regular grocery, whether it is super fancy olives or exotic mushrooms that are far out of my budget. The overall experience of dining at Caputos makes me feel happy and a better person for eating there.

Tried this lovely gem when passing through on company business. Had the signature Capotu sandwich and some antipasto. Both were excellent. The market was fantastic. If I wasn’t traveling would have picked up a package of homemade meatballs. Try the chocolate dipped figs — they are to die for.

Attended their chocolate tasting class and loved it. It was a great date night activity. You don’t have to love chocolate to like this class. It was fascinating to learn about the history of fine chocolate and about the thriving fine chocolate market in Utah. It’s about 2 hours long but flies by because you are quickly experiencing so many different kinds of chocolate. Highly recommend!

I love all three locations of Caputos but I end up at the Holladay location most often due to Caputos classes. If you get the chance, check out one of their many classes. My favorite so far was a whiskey class that included cheese and chocolate! I usually come here for random specialty items such as roasted peppers, Italian stewed tomatoes, olives, oils, etc. I’m also known to come here before a party to pick up delicious cheese and meats. The staff is very helpful with pairings. Don’t forget about the incredible chocolates. I always get sucked into the beautifully packaged or individual pieces of handcrafted local chocolates. You can’t also go wrong with any of their sandwiches or pasta salads. My favorite, hands down, is the meatball. Wow.

Great sandwich stop and Italian market. The hot pastrami is amazing, get it! Also amazing is the Pig & Fig(I forget which day this is the special). I didn’t love the greek salad, although loaded with feta, olives, it was on the soggy side. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. The market has an awesome selection of olive oils, pastas, chocolates and much more. They also offer classes that sound great, can’t wait to try one. Worth checking this place out!

I’ve eaten every sandwich, bought almost every cheese and absolutely love this place. The Andy’s(there are two of them) are amazing and know their cheeses. I’ve also done a beer and cheese pairing class. Wonderful. Can’t say enough about this place. Try the limited pasta selections too, you can’t go wrong with either or a combo of both. Great place, great service, excellent, excellent food.

Their meatballs are the most amazing I’ve ever had! The Caputo sandwich was also delicious. I was a bit disappointed with the Greek salad, it was extremely soggy compared to other Greek salads I’ve enjoyed in the past.

We need more places like this. Caputo’s is a great old style deli concept. Their meats and cheeses are all imported and unbeatable. The staff behind the counter are very personable and they know the products well. The sandwich makers are nothing short of artists. Personally, I recommend the hot pastrami or the meatball, but there isn’t a bad thing on the menu. They also offer a lot of unique imported grocery items and classes from chocolate education to wine tasting. They are refreshingly focused on community and they even have live music from time to time. In all honesty this place deserves all five stars, but here’s why they only get four: First is Pepsi. They do offer Coke classic in bottles and a variety of other unique drink choices, but Pepsi is enough for me to consider going elsewhere despite their amazing food. Second, is the furniture. Caputo’s is always crowded. The tables are large and the chairs are awful, if they made better furniture choices there would be more room and less frustration. All in all Caputo’s is a great local spot that will always earn your business.

They took a sandwich and made it a salad and it was delicious. I’m doing the low-carb thing and they totally jumped right in with what to do when I told them. So many salads are so light on toppings but this was a very solid salad at a very great price. The soup was great and my wife loved her sandwich. Great selection of other specialty food items, central to Holladay and open Sundays. It is a great addition to the area.

Tony Caputo’s Market & Deli brings their market and deli to Holladay area with a great outdoor patio and lots of delicious stuff inside. We’ve eaten here for lunch a few times and the meatball sub is delicious. Great bread, really good meatballs, and a good marinara sauce. Lots to enjoy here!

This is maybe the best thing that has ever happened to Holladay. Caputos carries a great selection of meats, cheeses, olives, chocolates, olive oils and vinegars, sauces, beverages, etc. Many of the items are imported and everything is fantastic quality so prices reflect that. They also have made to order sandwiches and pastas that are so delicious. My personal favorite is the Muffaleta sandwich which is so flavorful. Absolutely to die for. This new Holladay location has a really nice outdoor seating area and large«garage» doors that open up so the entire store feels bright and airy and outdoorsy. The staff was super nice and very accommodating and kind about our kids.
This location will be offering chocolate, cheese and wine tasting classes among others, at a great price. I’ve been to a bunch of Caputos classes and they are always fantastic. This place is going to obliterate my grocery budget because really, how can you shop anywhere else when there is a Caputos down the street?
