Cross between trader joes and whole foods. My first visit there and the produce was terrible. Couldn’t find any pre-packaged spring mix/spinach that weren’t rotten looking(expiration dates were 7 – 10 days out). Radishes split open, organic spinach bunches looked disgusting, all torn and black rotting tips. Yuck. Parsley was similar, with a fishy smell. The dry and frozen foods are overpriced; you can get the same at grocery store or trader joes for less cash. Meh. When a store’s produce is rotting in the store it makes me wonder about their other food safety practices(dairy, eggs, meat etc).

In my opinion Sprouts is the best place to shop for produce, the stores are always clean and many of the associates are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately checkout times are the worst of anywhere in the valley, everywhere else I’ve experienced in the United States and abroad. Waiting in line here is like stepping back into the middle of the nineteenth century in the era of the general store. Employees have no sense of urgency, organization or efficiency at all. No matter what time of day I shop here and/or their downtown location, nor how few items I have, nor how few customers are present in the entire store it is consistently a painfully mismanaged process in the realm of the absurd getting through checkout. I do think the staff at the Fashion Place location are far more expedient and professional. When Sprouts Holladay originally opened I was rooting for them to get busy. Frankly, I don’t think they could handle it if it were to occur.

Can I give Sprouts more than five stars? Its like a Whole Foods for people who actually have a realistic grocery budget. Their vegetables are affordable and fresh. The meat is high quality. Take advantage of the bulk foods. You can buy things like chia seeds, quinoa, and nuts at low prices. Their employees are happy and helpful which means they like their job and are treated well. The store is clean and organized.

Not sure why this place exists. It’s sort of expensive, and not nearly as fun as Whole Foods. No pre-made foods, it smells sort of weird. I don’t know, maybe I don’t understand the whole farmers market thing. But if Whole Foods is the arch enemy of Sprouts, then I’m simply never going to Sprouts. Maybe that comparison is wrong though and these locations are totally parallel. I do feel like they’re both going for the all natural, no artificial anything, and Whole Foods is just doing it better is all. I don’t know if Sprouts will be a location I’m returning to.

LOVE Sprouts! I feel really lucky that they opened right by our house a few months after we moved to the area. My favorite thing about Sprouts is their meat selection. They always have at least 5 meats that are marinating to choose from plus all the different fish. All the employees are super helpful and seem to enjoy their job.

Love this store! They have high quality food at a great price! The staff are so helpful and friendly. One of the managers saw that my child was having a hard time and gave him a treat. So kind! And it made my shopping experience much nicer :) Awesome store!

This by far is my favorite health food grocery store. Excellent parking, store is always clean, fresh produce and the Manager Summer is the absolute best. She always greets us with a smile and makes sure we’re always satisfied. The cashiers are always friendly. My only minor complaint is that the workers on the floor could be more friendly.

Opening day was crazy. Lots of people. However the store was still in fantastic shape. Employees are very friendly and the quality of products are there. Very excited that another sprouts opens. Come here for cheaper local and organic produce.

I was lucky enough to shop a day before at this new Sprouts before it officially opened its doors to the public. This Sprouts is in the heart of Holladay city. In the corner of Highland Drive and Murray Holladay Rd, it is located in the same complex as Starbucks, the Dollar Tree, Einstein Bagels and Domino’s. This store deserves a 5 star. Everything was very clean, the employees were SUPER nice. I felt welcomed and it made me want to never leave the store. Got to meet the manager Greg since I was looking for some white peaches and couldn’t find any(the only drawback) but ended up with a couple donut peaches I still get to try. The deals were amazing: you could get cantaloupes, pineapples, etc all for less than a buck each. Yes, EACH, not a LB. Even a container of raspberries were $ 1 each. You get a whole pineapple for less than a burger across the street. The store is laid out differently than the one in Murray(which I am used to) but nonetheless you still find the same great products and deals on produce. If you’re up to it and don’t mind the crowds, I’d highly recommend you come in to the store on opening day, on 08⁄06(tomorrow). You would not want to miss the double ad deals as well as the«grand opening specials». Produce was fresh today, great variety in all departments, including fresh bakery items. Plan on a visit soon, it will not disappoint you. Plus, since produce is fresh and cheap, I promise you will end up coming back again and again. I will.
