Heard the place is closing to be made into a banquet hall. If I could just have everything on the menu before they do I would be happy.

I haven’t been here in years. And now I know why. Horrible food!!! Food that taste as good as hospital food, and way over priced. Here’s what you get for the New York steak — 2 triangle shaped tasteless meat on top of 3 puny lifeless asparagus on a bed of instant mashed potatoes. $ 27. I will say after talking to management they did compensate the meals accordingly and our server was nice. Seems like closing the restaurant down is their best idea yet! Holland pick your food game up!

In general this place isn’t bad. Every flat bread I’ve had is really good(have been here for lunch and dinner). But my wife ordered the New York Strip for dinner, and it was literally the worst streak that I have had(either at home or at a restaurant). I’ve had cube streak that was more tender with more flavor. Also it was $ 27, which is overpriced by about $ 26.

This restaurant consistently disappoints. I’ve eaten here many times with friends but would never choose to go here myself. The atmosphere is lovely and the wait staff is great but it ends there. What’s it missing? Creativity, variety, properly cooked meat and fish, and most of all flavor. The dinner menu is stacked with benign tasting flatbreads and pizzas. The more robust dishes always leave me wishing I’d stayed home and cooked myself. Never a ‘wow’ factor. If all you want is a cocktail and an appetizer, it’s fine. The full menu offers little more than that.

Absolutely terrible service salad came out before our wine. My wife’s steak was like a piece of leather. We will never go back, I’m sorry for my wife and a terrible date night

We have only had appetizers here but they were delicious! Nice atmosphere and decent service.

Three stars for atmosphere and desserts, but the main dishes always seem to fall short on flavor. The price and the food don’t mesh well. That said for a place to go out for appetizers or dessert, this is wonderful.

This was a nice surprise during my last visit to Holland. Holland is a pretty traditional town so it was nice to have such a modern option. It’s nice to be up high and looking out — even if the view on one side is pretty average. The lighting is fantastic though and during sunset it’s gorgeous. It was a quiet Monday night and we had attentive service and the food was tasty. I will definitely be back.

Great views and great food. Our Holland relatives took us out-of-towers to a restaurant that they knew would impress us. We sat inside on the east side to avoid the sunset glare. More adventurous(and younger) folks enjoyed the fresh air and sunshine. The strawberry & nuts salad with salmon added was a perfect summertime meal. Others in our group enjoyed the tilapia tacos, Raleigh flatbread(Carolina BBQ, slaw and onions) and a spicy flatbread. Our server, Katie, provided impeccable service. Our foursome ordered three desserts: no-flour chocolate cake drizzled with raspberry sauce(A+ rating), a generous block of carrot cake(A+) and a cookie dough confection that is actually vanilla ice cream atop a soft cookie with various goodies(A+)

This is probably your best choice for dining in Holland. There is a nice view, and the menu offers and excellent variety of well-prepared food. We particularly liked the salmon spinach salad and the San Francisco flatbread. Inside can be noisy, so sit on the terrace if it’s not too sunny.

Very very good. I lost all hope(pardon the pun) in Holland’s local fare. The angel hair pasta with prosciutto and spinach was superb. Definitely worth the trip and prices were more than reasonable. Well done!

Great little place way off the beaten path. Everything we had was excellent. Service was spot on. It doesn’t look like much from the outside and you need to walk through the deli to get to the restaurant. The death by chocolate cake is gluten free, decadent and very delicious.

Only been here for lunch buffet. 9.99 gets you soup, salad, flat bread and regular pizzas. They are awesome! Nice view of city and great service. Flat bread pizzas vary and are gourmet.

I’ve never written a review while still at the place I’m reviewing but this hotel deserves it. The room is really modern and cool. When we walked in our kids went wild and were very impressed. If you’re looking for a «cozy» décor this isn’t the hotel for you. It’s very sleek and somewhat industrial and minimalist. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bedding was unlike any hotel I’ve been in. It was very soft and warm and made you feel like you’re wrapped up in your softest blanket at home. I only have three gripes. 1) water pressure is extremely weak. When diffused in a «rain» shower head you don’t get enough water where you need it and you end up taking a longer shower. That defeats the whole point of restricting water flow. 2) there are no outlets anywhere near the two beds. You can’t charge your phone while sleeping or plug in a CPAP machine. 3) the toilets are the kind you’ll find in Europe. I hated using them in Paris and I’m sure the house keepers dislike them for the reason. I’ll leave it at that. I would still come back on my next visit to Holland. Highly recommend the hotel.

Trendy stylish bistro with a view of Holland you don’t see on a postcard. The menu is constantly evolving with a strong tie to seasonal produce. Several favorites remain as a cornerstone of the menu, mainly the flat bread pizzas. These pizzas are good, but I hold a higher standards for a personal size pizza for $ 14.00 plus. Service was friendly and professional, as to be expected with the upscale setting. However; the wait for ordering and delivery of food greatly surpassed an hour. There was one server for the entire restaurant. The poor guy had 10 tables and no help. Undeniably an elegant setting with a breath taking view of the fall panorama. Food is good, but pricy.

This place is very posh and new. The view is nice off the balcony but seeing Louis Padnos isn’t my favorite. The server we had tonight was nice but as we waited and waited for over 45 minutes it felt as if the server was avoiding us. When we finally got our food the gnocchi was tasty BUT was only warm and so was the mac n-cheese and flatbread. The burger seemed like it was premade and just edible. We really want to like this place! We’re thinking if/when we come back, it’ll just be for drinks…

Neat place on top of the City Flats Hotel in Holland, that overlooks downtown and the city. Be prepared to spend $ 10 – 15 for lunch, not sure if that was their lunch menu or regular menu. I got the goat cheese/mozzarella/garlic/red pepper flatbread, and actually just finished my leftovers for lunch — it was very good. They do a Sunday brunch buffet($ 14.95/adults, I believe) from 10am-2pm on Sunday, we arrived around 2:07pm and they wouldn’t let us do the buffet, but my friend asked if we could have some of the dessert and they saved a bit for us — some sort of raspberry pie but crumbled up, it was good but not sure if it was worth the $ 5 they charged us(especially since it had been sitting out all that time, though they did heat it up). My friend got it a la mode and I think that was an additional $ 1.50−2 more. The pizza and food were very good, though, as was the ambiance/atmosphere — very quiet for Sunday lunch around 2pm, too — so it gets 4⁄5 stars from me. I’d come back when in the area, as well. Service was also good.

I ate with a friend and was able to split the San Antonio and Cheboygan flat breads between the two of us. They were both outstanding! Loved the setting and the view from the rooftop patio! I would highly recommend eating here!
