Good pizza. When were that way we typically will pick one up. Better than most in Toledo.

Thanks to Unilocal and Mike P, I was able to taste a little slice of heaven a couple of days ago. I frequent the Spring meadows area and although I had seen the restaurant, I didn’t know it was Amie’s/Gino’s pizza. Other than J&G’s in Sylvania, this is my family and I favorite pizza in Toledo. It had been a long time since we had it so we decided to stop by. We ordered an XL with ½ pineapple and ½ bacon. It was just as I remembered it. A little greasy(in a good way), perfect tasting sauce, and was done just right… perfect! The staff weren’t very personable, but obviously I’m going there for the pizza and we got ours to go so no problem there. A must try in Toledo.

I have been going to Mancinos for so many years. It was our family favorite until the merger with Amy’s. Not to say that Amy’s pizza isn’t great. But we always have been huge fans of the BBQ pork and Seafood Grinders and once the merger happened they switched up the recipe. I asked the folks that worked there after coming there 1 – 2 times a week for years what happened and told them that the grinders were different and they told me that they use different meat and have changed what they used to make them with. Does anyone remember the difference of the grinders from then until now? If you know what I am talking about please comment and let me know if you feel the same way. The BBQ pork sub used to be perfectly cooked and carefully pulled and was perfect and now it is chunks of meat land tastes completely different. And I loved the Seafood sub too it was chopped perfectly and with the right amount of mayo or dressing, but now it is just chunks of imitation crab with lettuce and something is just not right. I have tried every grinder they sell at some point in time and although the newbies at Mancinos like the new menu I am dissapointed in the lack of care and quality that goes into the grinders. Its like they care so much about the pizza that they forgot what made Mancinos famous and so popular. «THEGRINDERS» I think they need to re-think the recipes and really change back to the original way they made them. My opinion: Don’t save a few bucks by using a lower grade of meet and change the flavor too. You have taken the best BBQ Pork(and all other) grinders within 100 miles and messed with them too much. Please trust me, get out the old recipes and bring the #1 Mancinos grinders back to life. I hate to say this but our family and two other families used to make Mancinos our family meeting ground but now we have changed where we go. I can’t wait to see if anyone feels the same way and most of all I can’t wait until Mancinos re-thinks the grinder recipes and trains the employees with the original way they were made so they can once again re-gain the number one best restaurant title in my book.

A little pissed to say the least. Their menu says that the medium pizza is $ 9, so I ordered 2 mediums because they do not make gluten free in large. I get there and the total is $ 28, so $ 14 for each. Then I get the pizzas home and they are tiny thin crusts! I was never told that the actual price was $ 14 per pizza, but I figured maybe I made a mistake and had an old menu or whatever. I called and they basically did not care, the lady was even laughing and said«ok whatever» when I told her I can buy gluten free pizzas cheaper in the store. Rude people, terrible customer service.

This Mancino’s is owned by AMIES Pizza, and it’s every bit as wonderful! I highly recommend stopping in if you haven’t. AMIES has, IMO, the best pizza in Toledo!

If you like Gino’s(or Amie’s), then you should like Mancino’s pizza. After all, all three brands are, or at one time were, owned by Amie. All three brands use the same sweet pizza sauce; the same sweet pizza sauce that makes my taste buds happy. My opinion? The best pizza sauce in the city. The cheese here has always been cooked to a golden brown perfection, and the crust is medium thickness and foldable. The toppings are good, but they don’t match up to those of Village Idiot. But then, who’s toppings can match up to VI’s? In my opinion, THIS is «Toledo style» pizza.

Had a less than stellar first experience at Mancino’s and the owner, Amie, went above and beyond to show me how much she cares about her customers. I didn’t like the pizza sauce so she let me sample another(which was fantastic) and she even let me sample a grinder(which was also amazing). Even if I wasn’t happy with their food, I would go back just for her and the staff. She’s got a lifelong customer in me!

Their pizza and grinders are awesome. I’m a fan of their pepperoni and bacon pizza, and their bbq chicken grinders.

Granted I typically order the same thing: BLT grinder. But it’s always amazing! Service is good and personal. For some reason, there was no pickles with our sandwiches, which we missed. Otherwise great meal!

Grinder’s are good, calzone’s are too. I normally get a meatball grinder. The meatballs aren’t half-bad. I enjoy it more than Subway

The pizza has gone dowhill. The grinders and salads are still five star.

Mancino’s Pizza & Grinders does two things very right: pizzas and grinders. They are aptly named.(I’m sure they’re glad they didn’t go with«Mancino’s Salad and Breadsticks», which probably would have been less effective all around.) First of all, I dare you to eat a whole grinder. Go ahead and try it. I’ve done it in my glory days, but I can’t do it anymore. They are 16″ grinders, so you might want to go with the«half». The grinders are all baked and taste awesome. I’m a big fan. The pizza is also really good. It has a thin, hand-tossed style crust, and it does a good job of setting itself apart from the other local chains. It probably isn’t my favorite pizza, but it is quite good, so it’s a great way to mix it up a bit when you’re tired of the same old thing. If you dine-in, the place is rather small, but there is usually at least an empty table or two even during lunch.

I give them the next best thing to 5 stars because I don’t know what the rest of the restaurant has to offer besides its club grinder. The bread is crispy, the bacon is crispy, the ham is layered on thick, the mayonnaise must be homemade the best thing I found in aluminum foil anywhere. Only if they delivered, they would get a lot more of m business.
