Booking our stay was very easy and Lisa was quick to respond with answers to questions. We stayed in The Newport– 2br/2.5 baths, it was very, very clean the décor definitely had an east coast beach flare. Our unit also had a view of Lake Macatowa. A couple days before our stay I received an email with all the basic information including entry and garage codes as we would be arriving in the evening. As we arrived in our unit there was a nicely prepared folder with our name on it that included additional information about the area and things to do, even though I lived in Holland for almost 10 years growing up I found the information useful. The pool and grounds are cleaned very thoroughly like clockwork every morning. The retired gentleman who cleans the pool was very friendly and took his time to clean everything. We will definitely be back and I highly recommend to anyone looking awesome accommodations walking distance to Lake Michigan.

This was my first trip back to Holland in almost 20 years. I wanted to be close to the beach and stay in a place that with nice, clean and had undated amenities. For the most part all I found were old houses that had been converted into weekly rentals and none looked nearly as nice as The Beach House. The Beach House is a timeshare complex with weekly rentals available, I am assuming when the owners are not able to use their weeks. Their website is very helpful, it post rates, availability, photos of each unit, etc. Booking was as easy as sending an email, I had a response back from the sales office same day. Payment was simple and done online. Prior to my arrival I received an email with codes to enter my unit and the garage in addition to other useful information about the unit I would be staying in and what was provided such as towels, soap, etc. The unit was as expected, very clean with a definite beach vibe. When we arrived there was an arrival packet on the coffee table with a magazine about the area, discounts to local attractions and eateries. One thing that was a hit was the daily 4 rounds of golf with cart being offered to each guest at the Macatowa Ledged Golf Club which we took full advantage of. I am giving 4 and not 5 stars for a couple of reasons. The lighting in the master bath is terrible and my wife complained she was unable to put her make-up on, the other baths weren’t much better. The faucets in the master sprayed out of the sink and right back at me making them difficult to use without getting wet. Not that I was here to watch TV, but the NBA finals were on the week I was here and the quality of the TV’s are terrible.

Looked around at many other places and nothing beats the Beach House if you live in Ann Arbor, or Metro Detroit. Manageable drive for an incredibly relaxing stay. People that own a piece of the Beach House also get to use their pontoon boat as well as get a membership at the Country Club. Incredible.
