This is a wonderfully located and popular summer restaurant. Good Food. Great Service and thoughtful on-site owner/chef in Erik, always there and caring. But the surprise is the off-season breakfasts which have some real specialties next to the fireplace setting looking onto the Lake. Give it a try. We are there every Sunday morning. Great restaurant with a cool atmosphere and fantastic location. Happy hour is $ 2 off appetizers and both domestic and premium beers. The food is always better than expected and they have outstanding staff with a good chef overseeing kitchen operations. The menu has a reasonable selection at expected prices and the kitchen is always happy to accommodate special requests and even make items not on the normal menu sometimes. The pizza which is only available during the summer is outstanding. Thank you OBI.

A really outstanding place. Excellent food and great service. Literally everything we tried was fantastic. Only complaint is that while waiting for a table(the wait is sometimes pretty long), we’ve always had to get our own drinks at the bar. You end up standing there a while because the bartender is slammed as well, LOL. No big deal, though…

OBI is a great little restaurant! The food is good, and the service is nice as well. Perfect place to grab lunch while at the beach! Prices are pretty fair as well. Would recommend to anyone!

Well, this place was always my go-to for great local food. But, when the menu changes this usually means the food has changed… And it did. They were known for unbelievable burgers but now… You can’t even find the beef! I mean it’s a salad on a bun. I complained, they took my plate and gave me my bill with no adjustment. I didn’t need the adjustment but at least ask«Can we bring you something else?» It’s a shame…

Eric has completely turned what was a dying, tired restaurant to a vibrant eatery with a killer menu! Every aspect of the place is top notch. And the delicious surprises just keep on coming, like smoked prime rib Monday that rivals any cut of meat you can find at Mortons? Enjoy!

Went here tonight for dinner. Saw all the locals and knew we hit the right spot. I had the walleye with clam chowder and a baked potato. My wife had the french onion soup. We ordered a bottle of cab and it was on special which made it an easy decision. Our waitress Kari was right on for the service and the place was packed on a Tuesday. Would come back anytime in the area.

Great place. First time here, hardly post but wanted to let people know this place is great. Friendly staff. We had Crab Cakes, pot roast and spaghetti. If we are in New Holland we will be back for dinner again.

We went here based upon a recommendation from our hotel for a local restaurant with fresh fish that was also family friendly. The menu has a little of everything. I had the fried perch and my wife had the shrimp. Both were good and our kids were able to find things they liked on the kids menu. There was a 20 minute wait, but you can sit outside and enjoy the evening if the weather is good. Lots of beers on tap also. We would return if back in Holland.

My wife and I stopped here for a late lunch/early dinner after a few hours on the beach at Holland State Park. Our server was on point with her duties and making sure we were comfortable. We had the smoked whitefish appetizer and fried perch for our main courses. We highly recommend both. The smoked whitefish app is a cream cheese based dip with what looked and tasted like a pesto sauce. The perch was solid. It was fried perfectly and tasted fresh. We chose the potato salad side which was prepared with attention it seemed; not too much mayo nor runny. You definitely should stop by here while in Holland if you haven’t already done so.

Only stopped here for a beer, but it was totally worth it. The Ottawa Beach Inn Summer beer was awesome. The owner Eric was knowledgable and friendly and the place was great. I highly recommend to anyone. Cheers

Solid place! Stopped in for a beer, tried the OBI Summer Ale. Awesome beer! Bold taste for a summer ale. Met the owner Eric. Great guy! Definitely worth a stop when you visit the beach and park!

Did you know that OBI has a pizza barn?!? Our family went last night and it was amazing! They offer gluten free crust which was the best I’ve found yet. And the ice cream bars… oh my word. Delish! We will be back :)

Went for dinner last night with friends, very disappointed, salmon was under cooled and slimy, the burger was over cooked and dry. Been going here for years, what happened?

Not accommodating for children. Poor customer service and unhelpful staff. No to-go orders and unwilling to seat customers outside, even though there were outdoor tables.

New owners means a new menu. Innovative twist on the old favorites. They also added a take out Pizza which is yummy.

Went to OBI with my friend’s family for lunch and was very surprised at how good it was! I grabbed a Reuben Sandwich, and it was very tasty. It came with fries, horseradish sauce, and the sandwich itself on swirled bread. It was around $ 7, and everyone got a little bit of everything. There are TVs everywhere, and the fries are crispy and very well made. However, there is a Hope flag that hangs near the entrance, so if you’re a Calvin student or alumni, stray away from this place. Just kidding. A little.

Not many places get it right when my husband asks for medium rare hamburger! We stopped in for a great hamburger and fries. The mushroom Swiss was very good! Our waitress looked like Jennifer Garner to boot!

Good service, disappointing food. My boyfriend had the perch lunch and was impressed with the fish and fries although considering the portion it was very overpriced. I had the taco salad with chicken. I would have expected better from Taco Bell. The chicken consisted of mostly dark meat and grizzle. The lettuce was the ice berg shredded and the whole thing was drowned in so much cheese I couldn’t taste anything else, not that it mattered. There are too many good places in Holland to waste your time here.

This is a quaint, hole in the wall type of restaurant you’d expect in small town America! There slogan, «Eat with the Locals» is cute and kitschy! It is not just a catchy slogan, though, on any given night you will find locals waiting for tables, even during tourist season because of the food and feel of this place. Yes, the dining room is small and yes, there are often long wait times but yes, the food is just plain and simple good! The menu has many of the items you’d expect from a small town mom & pop place, sandwiches, burgers, pasta and seafood. They have daily specials which are usually pretty good but my go-to food on their menu is the spaghetti dinner! It reminds me of my mom’s spaghetti from when I was a little kid, homey and comforting! Oh, and no matter what I do order, I always make sure it has a piece of their grilled bread. That bread is to die for! My family like the burgers, though, the classic burger and olive burger are regulars on our order. The new french onion soup recipe is very good! UPDATE: We still love this place but I need to mention something… They changed the garlic toast that comes with the spaghetti dinner. I would literally go out of my way for the garlic toast but now I cannot say that. PLEASE, bring the original garlic bread back… PLEASE…
