Casey’s is in a word, unwelcoming. Previous posts citing that they cater to regulars & no one else is spot on, so if you’re not one, patronize another establishment. This place is out of the way — 30 minutes from home. I confirmed earlier in the day if the US Women’s World Cup game would be watched that evening(and if not no hard feelings, I would just try Casey’s another time.) When my wife and I arrived, no one was watching it, and the servers ignored us — walking almost through us to continue what they were doing. Every TV was on the last-place Sox game, and one TV was on a RE-RUN of the NBA draft. All the bartender would do was to put it on one small TV in the corner of the bar; a TV visible to only a handful of bar stools, all of which were taken, and for all intents and purposes unwatchable to any actual table seating. No idea if the food is inedible, good, great, because we weren’t made to feel welcome, left, and will never be back. Casey’s is entitled to run their place how they want, but being disingenuous and dismissive gets you placed on my blacklist because you don’t deserve my money.

Good pizza and wings. Just be prepared to wait a while for anything on a busy night. Live bands are also a good time

I LIKE Casey’s. I want to LOVE Casey’s, but there are just some little things preventing it from going down like that. My last time there(Friday evening, 11⁄21), I was meeting friends but was the first one there so I ordered a beer at the bar while I waited. I got a Shiner Oktoberfest, very good, very tasty. While waiting for it, I saw a tap handle for Slumbrew’s Porter Square Porter, and thought to myself, «That’s next». After joining my friends and finishing my beer, I ordered the porter. The waitress brought me a light amber colored beer which was without a doubt not a porter. When I asked her about, she said that was the Slumbrew they had on tap. I told her I saw the PSP tap handle behind the bar, but she insisted that was their current Slumbrew offering. I asked her which Slumbrew it was, and she simply shrugged, looked confused, and walked away. Thankfully I grabbed another server(a younger guy) and asked him what Slumbrew they had on tap. «The Porter Square Porter, it’s a chocolate porter… [holding up my beer] …which is clearly not what you have. I’ll be right back with that.» He got me my desired beer, and set the other server straight. However, this is not the only time this has happened. I go here often with coworkers since it is affordable and near our workplace. We want to love it ! The wings are fantastic and the other food is very good! Unfortunately, it’s service slipups like the above that make it a once-every-four-weeks spot instead of an every-single-Friday spot.

I thought I would try this place again after a couple of years avoiding it-I should have stayed away. The entryway was so run down and dirty I had to look in the window to see if it was still in business. It was lunch with only three patrons when I arrived, I still waited 25 minutes for a sandwich that was HORRIBLE. The place is unappealing inside, a desperate attempt to be a sports bar, the menu is limited, the service poor and the food worse still. I very, very seldom write reviews that is how bad this place is. Go elsewhere!

Joined the MFS in Holiston for a year. Was looking for a local place to grab a drink and food after spending time on the range. As my drive up to the range is about 40 minutes this would be a great place to unwind. We expect to go to the range a few times a month. Joined last week and already have gone 4 times. Our first run by the place was on Friday night and the place was full. So we passed it up. We went again on Tuesday and stopped in. We sat on a high table and the chairs felt like they would collapse beneath us. We waited 5 minutes watching the servers chit chat and pass us by. When we were approached we were informed that they are cash only and the ATM was out of $$. Well that was a deal breaker. After reading some of the horrible reviews, on Unilocal,I won’t be back. We found nice places in the area that gladly took our orders. My advice? Try it… but be prepared to be unhappy.

Wings were excellent some of the best around. Pizza is top not and the service was far and away the best Ive had in a long time. If you want some where to go to watch the game this is your place

I was frequent patron here from 2011 – 2012. Great service, great beer, great food and the atmosphere was second to none. Its awful now. My friends and I have since found other places to meet in the area. The food is cold all the time, it takes FOREVER to get a beer, and the food simply tastes BAD. Casey’s has all the potential in the world, but its not being realized. Its seems as though no one cares what goes on here. Its in need a of bar rescue. I didn’t let just one experience influence my thoughts of Casey’s. I went 5 – 8 times and had an equally awful experience. I used to love it here. Too bad to have to bail on Casey’s. Save yourself time and money and go somewhere else

My wife and I went in for what we hoped would be a middle of the week dinner. We gave been here once before and it was OK so we tried again. Upon entering the place was busy not packed and a end booth opened up so I asked if it could be cleaned and it went down hill from their. First off we seamed to bother her a but got seated looked at menus and I ordered a bottle of beer and a glass well she brought the beer no glass and a attitude. .ugh So I ordered a stake sandwich with fried onions she said they don’t do that, my wife ordered wings and we asked to start off with the special greek salad… Well twenty minutes later I managed to catch the server and asked if the sale was coming out she said«I don’t know» walked away and went behind the bar to BS with the bar tender. ugh Looked at my wife took five bucks out of my pocket put it on the table for the beer as I don’t steal and said let’s go. . We walked out went to Shaws picked up chicken went home and sat on our deck and said their off the list. If your looking for a neighborhood bar to get your drunk on Casey’s is for you.

Stopped in here for dinner the other night. had been once before for drinks and really liked the atmosphere but the food wasn’t that great. I should have known better than to order fried pickles anywhere but in the south but these tasted burnt and way too over breaded. I ordered the pulled pork platter but they were all out(which must be a good sign!) so we both ended up getting 2 different versions of steak tips and neither of us really loved them. The portions are very generous but wish it had just tasted a little better! Service was pretty good for as busy as they were and we did win a few bucks at keno while we were waiting so that was a plus! Would definitely go again for drinks and probably give the food another chance. hear they have excellent wings!

My office just ordered from Casey’s. We have done so in the past a couple of times. I think it’s hit or miss. We ordered about 8 or 10 meals. I got the buffalo wing salad. Not Good. It was lots of the white sour inner pieces from the head of lettuce. The menu specifically mentioned celery and there was not one piece in the salad. You MUST have celery when you’re eating buffalo chicken. There was plenty of chicken but It had hardly any sauce on it. One piece didn’t have any at all. It’s almost like someone was in a rush, but that’s no excuse. But… the bleu cheese dressing was delicious.

I wish zero stars was an option. My family and I ate here once. We walked in the front door and were ignored by the entire wait staff for about ten minutes. We finally got seated. The food was ok, but took a long time. Tried to go back tonight. Same result, all the employees walked right by us. We stood there and waited for approximately fifteen minutes, no one came over. As soon as a table opened up, a waitress walked over to the group of four«townies»(that came in ten minutes after us, but she knew them) and told them to sit down. We eventually left. I have never been to a place like this before. If you want to be ignored, this is the place for you. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

My family and I wanted to get take out from Casey’s last night… Website is“under repair” so I took a quick ride down there to get a take out menu to bring home so everyone could see. They have no take out menus! Really annoying. Since I couldn’t memorize the entire menu so my family could choose something for take out, we ordered from somewhere else. Too bad! I also stopped in here for a drink or two with a friend of mine last summer and the bartender ignored us and talked to the townies about her new boobs the whole time. Classy! Would love for this place to shape up… it could be really great!

We had a wonderful dinner/drinks at Casey’s and took the onion rings home they were so good. The wait staff and bartenders were attentive and pleasant and the prices are pretty reasonable. The Chili made us sweat and the French Onion Soup is delicious. My Portabello Swiss ½ lb burger was mouthwatering… We’ll be back!

Went there with wife for a couple of appetizers. Ordered chicken fingers and order of nachos. The fingers were ok but started life in a box, frozen not fresh. The nachos came out with clumps of frozen onion and the cheese was not even melted. The salsa was in a little cup and that was also icy and frozen. Sent them back and the waitress came over and said«are those better» to which I replies«if you mean cooked — yes». Wait staff is a little ruff. Ok for a beer but food is not really that impressive

I’ve brought my son here twice now. It’s one of the better places we’ve been in a while. Each time, we’ve gotten the boneless wings — we’ve tried buffalo(awesome!), the honey mustard(typical) and BBQ(also very good). The other appetizers are, for the most part, very generous and very good. I recommend the spinach/artichoke dip — it’s big, very thick and covered in cheese, then baked. It’s outstanding. Most chain places microwave this app and it drives me nuts. Pluses: It’s decently priced, really tasty food and very friendly servers. Minuses: You can’t see any TV from about one third of their dining area, and their bathrooms could use a re-vamp. But overall, a fun place to take your older kids for some great food and watching a game!

Went here with the family one Saturday afternoon. It wasn’t busy and our service was good. The interior is full of stuff to look at which satisfied my 3 yr old. We ordered a few apps and a salad and a kids burger. The Good: The rugrat killed all the fries and some of the burger. Also gave a thumbs up to the chocolate milk. The bride and I truly enjoyed the boneless Garlic Parmesan — they were cooked just right and has a very tasty flavor. Boneless may be the way to go here(see below) The wedge salad was a hit — crisp and fresh and big enough for us to share along with the other stuff. Not So Good: The chili was bland and boring and a little too tomatoey — just not the right flavor. The buffalo wings were not good. I don’t know if it was the expectations that they raised with the«greatest wings on earth» statement but what I received was not close. The wings I had were dry and could have used more sauce — the buffalo sauce was just ok not great. I’m not sure if they were smoked too long or what but they were just disappointing all around. If in the area again we’d give it another shot

I really like Casey’s and frequent there multiple times a month. Their food is always good but sadly I can’t say the same for their service. The first couple times I had visited I had to wait long at the bar to even get acknowledged which is really unacceptable and I could tell the regulars were being favored first. For the most part the servers are all very nice but what is truly amazing is the food. Great pub food, love going here with my friends for a couple drinks and apps or even have visited for a birthday party which was awesome also. The only thing I would change is them being more observant. Recognize newer customers and favor them rather than the regulars because they may be new to town(in my case) and bring in other customers. Bad service like that pushes people away. Just a thought!

I remember first going into Casey’s in the fall of 2001 to play pool as a 16, turning 17 year old senior in high school in good old H Town. Then, Casey’s was like an something in an old west town. Throughout the years, it has turned into an excellent family establishment and local watering hole for H-Town residents, townies, area locals, and travelers alike. A small town feel but just big and loud enough to get lost amongst the crowds on a busy night and truly have a great bar experience one could have anywhere. Amazing food — burgers, ribs, sandwiches, everything really… great…wings are truely devine though, really outstanding… great staff who also makes a nice drink. Nowhere is perfect, it’s the only bar pretty much in this town, so you can bump into anyone… but hey, overall, I enjoy the environment and product that Casey’s produces, real good stuff and a classic landmark.

The food’s decent here — standard Irish pub fare. I work near here and go here occasionally for lunch or after work. Nothing on their menu stands out for me to write about but nothing is ever bad either. Oh! They have sweet potato fries. Any place automatically gets at least 1 extra star if they have good sweet potato fries.
