First time visiting this place– I come to south Florida about once a year, LOVE Cuban food, and will definitely be going back to El Cuscatleco. We had the tostones rellenos(very good!) with white rice, and the vaca frita with white rice and black beans(all excellent!). We had leftovers of the vaca frita, beans, and rice, ordered another side of black beans to go and had a full second meal that night for dinner– with a vanilla flan and coconut flan for dessert. Everything was so good, including the Cubano café I had at lunch. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked excellent and I’d like to try the whole menu but am addicted to vaca frita!

Hesitant about this place because you have no idea what Salveadoran/Cuban food is? Well, no worries, they serves all types of Latin dishes. I love this place. I live a few blocks away and it is always my go-to. Its not the fanciest of décor, but hey, we go for the food. Firstly, its open from 7am-11pm. seven days a week, which means whether you’re an early bird, or a night-owl, this place is always open. The service is great. The waitresses are always super friendly and accomadating. Price-wise, this place is the most deliciously authentic food you can get for the price. They have the most AMAZING empanadas(choices: beef, chicken, ham and cheese). They are HUGE, made fresh to order and are stuffed to the brim and… they cost $ 1.50. Now, on to more food, the portions are great. I ordered Chicken Neopolitano(like $ 11) which was breaded chicken with ham, cheese and a sauce on top. It comes with 2 sides(choice of rice, beans, salad, veggies, yuca, fries or potato). It was so filling that I had enough for my lunch the next day. My husband ordered their seafood soup. WOW. I mean WOW. It came out with every type of seafood out there and it was so fresh, served with 2 sides. This place is simply amazing and I never spend more than $ 30 bucks for the two of us and we leaved stuffed and with leftovers. love it!

We love this place! Food is spot on, service is fantastic and very affordable. Try the empanadas. We think they are the best in South Florida.

Pretty darn good salvadorian and cuban food. service was better than I expected and the place was clean and updated. I had the ropa vieja and it was as good as it has ever been. Price was great too, four of us ate for less than $ 50 at dinner. Nothing out of this world, just really solid cuban food.

My favorite place I am here all the time. Family owned business and they are all amazing people. The price for food is really fair and I always have a feast here.

I am a big fan of this place. It’s a quaint spot in a strip mall, right next to the Cool Stuff game store. I had their bistec de palomilla lunch special, which was priced under $ 7. And it was downright delicious! I also drank the horchata, which was a bit different than I’m used to(this version had a darker, brownish tint with a more distinct cinnamon flavor), but tasty nonetheless. The drink was $ 2.25. The meal also came with buttered toast as an appetizer, as well as a mint at the end. Details like that are always well-noted and appreciated by me. My server was kind and attentive, and I could tell this is a place for regulars. I would go back here in a heartbeat. So good! Note: American Express is not accepted here.

Authenticity! Deliciousooo! They serve Salvadorian and Cuban food. Love this place, very family style atmosphere and taste and you are treated like family here! You’re welcomed with smiles and fresh hot buttery Cuban bread! The first time I was here, I had the huevos rancheros for breakfast. The café con leche is a must!!! They do it RIGHT!!! The milk is super hot and stays hot the whole time, ever heard of foamy creamy boiling milk with coffee, that’s what’s café con LECHE is all about! Second time was for lunch — I got the to tostones rellenos(it’s actually on the dinner menu lol) — which is plantains stuffed with shrimp and fish with avocados on the side. Out of this world good! The horchata is a drink that has rice, milk and the mora seed straight from El Salvador! It’s nothing like I’ve had before. Gladys, igladys, Carla are all very very friendly and you will wonderful convos with them and learn abt their food too! Salut!!!

Love this place! The food is always on point. I have never had any issues. The staff is the most friendly staff you could ask for. The café con leche here is always amazing and consistent!!! You can call ahead of time for lunch so that by the time you get there your food will be ready to eat in. I have zero complaints!

You can never go wrong here. Friendly staff with delicious meals and the prices are very reasonable. My favorite is their croquette sandwich. I also love their ropa vieja and milanesa steak. It’s been some time but I do plan on visiting el cuscatleco again soon.

Lechon asado($ 6.50) was too dry, huevos con jamon was nothing special. Excellent service. Diet Coke only $ 1.25. A serviceable meal, but nothing beyond that.

We had visitors in town wanting Cuban food. I found this place from searching Unilocal.I actually come to realize I had passed this restaurant several times while shopping in this plaza. First of all, the place is super clean. The waitress spoke perfect English(even though I had my fiancé there in case they didn’t.lol). They had fresh Horchata … Delish! The prices were so reasonable, we ordered a feast!!! The pupusas are to die for. Steak and shrimp, melt in your mouth. We all enjoyed this place SO much. I’m so excited being its only about a 5 minute drive from the house. Please give it a try!

This place was great! The food was very good and the restaurant was very clean. My husband and I ordered a feast and the bill was $ 36. We had ropa vieja which was very tasty but was missing olives but still awesome. We also ordered masa de puerco which was the crunchiest fried pork I’ve ever had. So good… we also ordered a medianoche which is a cubsn sandwich on sweet bread. The sandwich was perfectly cheesey and toasty. I also ordered a pupusa mixta which was really big and really good. I would definitely go back just for the pupusas. We also ordered an avocado salad which I personally didn’t like to much because the avocados were the green florida type. I like the black skinned avocado better because they are creamier in my opinion. They also have a good selection of coffees and drinks. $ 1.75 for Perrier. I’m glad I convinced my hubby to go here instead of la carreta, we got better food and saved some $.

Can’t speak to the lunch/dinner menu as I’ve only ever ordered breakfast sandwiches(perfect for eating at your desk and smelling up your office). These are solid and filling. What’s more, like most Latin restaurants, you can get an omelet sandwich and a café con leche for like eight bucks(ten dollar minimum on cards, so plan accordingly). I really dig the staff, too. They appear a little aloof when you first walk in, but over time, they grow on you. They’re attentive, work fast, and will always know exactly what you want after only a handful of visits. Makes it easy on someone like me who likes to keep phone conversations short. A-OK. Hope to explore the rest of the menu soon.
