Hollywood Vine

My best friend recently moved to Downtown Hollywood. We were wandering around the neighborhood and saw this little gem.
We popped in and I was immediately surprised at how large it was inside! It looks to be about the size of 3 store fronts! I start slinking up and down the aisles checking out the selection of wine.
Their prices are AWESOME! You can get some great deals on a variety of wines here! They are displayed nicely, but looked like stock was a little low. They had a good deal of great white wines, However, the reds seemed to be lacking. The walls were filled with great everyday drinking wines though!
They have great «wine related» accessories. Towards the back their are coolers filled with craft beer. I will add – very cheaply priced craft beers!
My best friend only drinks white, and I had been drinking beer all night, we decided to just grab some beers. They have about 5 tables inside, not including the back bar.
We sat at a table. The man poured our beers for us and brought them over. We just hung out for about an hour! It was so nice and relaxing. They have tables outside too. The restaurant across the street will deliver food to you!
I believe they serve cheese and meats here.
Overall, I loved the ambiance of the place. It was so laid back. You could sit there all night, and no one would rush you or stare your table down. The man who worked there was very nice! He talked to us for a little bit. The whole place was VERY clean. They only have one bathroom, but it is kept organized and clean.
The only reason this isn’t 5 stars is because of wine selection and the lack of product. I wish there were some higher end bottles. They shelves need to look fuller.
Cant wait to go back and get a bottle next time.

Great service, awesome wine selection, superb price/​quality and you can bring your own food besides cheese and cold cuts that you can buy here for a very reasonable price.
Also premium beer, rum and tequila

Lots of wine to choose from (of course). There are also some scotches and other «licka.»
I wandered in on a Saturday night when I saw a crowd of people milling about. You can rent part of the space for a wine tasting kind of thing. Not bad. There are one or two little tables and a bar area where you can grab a glass of one of the many wines and some scotches on hand for tastings. There is a refrigerated section where you can grab a cheese plate and a few other nibbles. Was not crazy about pre-​packaged plates so stuck with the wine drinking.
A good place to know about — run in or browse when you need a good bottle of something. The only minor nit is that the woman who as behind the counter on the night I visited — was not the most friendly of hosts. Considering the open house «feel» of the place, it would have been nice to feel a bit more welcomed. I would have stayed longer (2^nd drink).

Great wine selection. Went here for a Hollywood Association Social. Will definitely be back. Staff was super knowledgeable and attentive. Great wine bar :)

Love this place! My husband and I try to make it to their free wine tastings on Tuesdays as often as we can. They have a nice selection of wine, beer, liquor, cheese, meats, and chocolate covered almonds. Fair prices. They have a nice bar area with tables do you can hang out and enjoy a drink. Laid back folks, Steve and Tina are great. Always a nice time! There is street parking outside on Hollywood.

Quickly became my favorite spot in Hollywood. I went in one night just for some information about the place and have been back almost every night since. The vibe is incredible. It feels like you are at a friend house hanging out drinking fabulous wine and eating Delicious cheese. Any one of my friends that I have brought to this establishment are instantly impressed. Probably one of the coolest places I have ever been. Everyone needs to experience Hollywood Vine.

Great casual place to have a glass of wine

Been coming here for about 6 years now and I love it. Tuesday night FREE wine tastings are always on point and you can order a glass of anything that they’ve already opened. They have a small self serve cheese and charcuterie section. Just choose what you want and they’ll make you a little plate. The owner is always bringing in good wines and always has great deals. I love this place! I only wish it was more bar-​like and less retail store-​like but honestly I can’t complain. It makes a great date night too if you just want to split a bottle and sit down. His corkage fee is super cheap!!!

What an amazingly fun and chill wine bar! We sat at the bar and had a beautiful bottle of wine, cheese and olives! My husband loves their creative beers and great jazz music they have playing. Place gets crowded and fun

Great selection of wine. Wine bar in the shop is relaxing. You can select cheeses/​meats and the owner will prepare a plate for you. We always visit and pick up a couple of bottles when we visit Hollywood, FL.

My husband and I frequent here a lot and love the place. They have a great selection of wines from all over and Tuesday nights are free wine tastings. The owners will go out of their way to get you what you need and you can even bring dinner in and enjoy a bottle together. Great place and great people!

A+++++!!! Me and my girlfriend came here on a cool night in October and we enjoyed our time here very much. We stayed talking to the owner until closing time and we tried wines for under $ 10 that would have cost over $ 20 back home. The owner recommended some great restaurants, areas to visit around hollywood, etc. Excellent establishment and service. Highly recommended!

LOVE LOVE LOVE!
I was in the Miami area for two weeks for work and decided to check this place out being that I am a wine lover and we don’t have wine bars where I am from.
I was so happy with the whole experience. So much so I think I was there for almost 2 hours! Started with two cheeses and wine. Ended up staying for more wine and another cheese. Annie (I think that was her name — red hair?) was a delight to speak to during my time there.
Was hoping I could go again before I leave, but ran out of time. When I am back again for work Hollywood Vine will be the first place I visit. My highlight of 12 days in MIA.

Over the last couple months my wife and I have become regulars here. The owner (Steve) and Tina are wonderful hosts. Steve has helped me order some obsecure and rare items and started stocking some things so they could be on hand when I visit. He was also willing to reserve some space so I could bring a group of people.
He has a wonderful selection of cheeses at very reasonable prices and will allow you to order/​bring in food. (There is a Greek and Thai place a block away that will even deliver). For a special treat ask for the Artisan Dark Choclate… it’s some of the best you will ever have.
There is a good selection of wines and liquor in every category and roughly 50+ beers available to take out or cold to have on-​site by the bottle. You won’t find many bottles over the $ 50 price mark but I can say from experience that Steve can get anything you need within a week or so.
There are free tastings that occur on Tuesday and random other events such as chess nights. Give them your e-​mail for weekly details about what is being tasted and upcoming events.
As if all of that was not enough everyone is cool to talk to. Friday and Saturday nights they are open until midnight and it’s always a fun time.

I love it here! Steve and Tina are both very nice people. They have an ever changing list of wines by the glass or for a mere $ 5 you can buy anything from the retail shop and enjoy it with a nice charcuterie platter that you can put together from their nice assortment. Prices are extremely fair considering its a smaller, privately owned shop. Support your local business owners!

Friendly, clean, and always a great time. This place has a great selection of wine. But if you’re not in to wine, try any number of their imported and craft beer they have stocked. Also available is cigars and they have a small, but respectable liquor store; completely integrated. No florescent bulbs here; very cozy.

I suggested this place to my mother in an effort to show her how great Hollywood’s restaurants and shops had gotten. She invited my aunt and some of their closest friends. To give you an idea of my mother’s love for wine, there is never a lack of selection when it comes to wine in her house. She did enjoy the wine tasting but that delight was rudely interrupter by what must have been the owner of Hollywood Vine. My mother had waited patiently to order the wine she thought was the best of the night. Before she could get her order in, the owner boorishly gathers the used wine glasses and states that its time to clean up now that «you have drunk and tasted the wine». He was obviously implying that their welcome had been obviously over stayed.
My suggestion is stay away from this establishment and go to one that treats it’s customers with the very least some common courtesy.
A wine giant like Total Wine has better taste testing and they at least know how to treat a customer.
My hope is that someone brings this complaint to the owner or their business is not going to do well. In todays times when word of mouth is essential for a thriving business, I will make sure everyone I know is aware of how bad Hollywood Vine is!
