A-​Maz-​Ing time at the Old Hollywood Beerhouse! The owners were so social, knowledgable, and kind. This is definitely a hidden gem in Hollywood!

Super chill place came here for the first time and tried a couple different beers, liked them all, they were very informative on the beers. Will be back for sure.

I heard about this place and had to check it out. Very small and local. Cash only and all beers cost $ 4. Wide selection of beers (more selection of bottled beers than drafts). Seating around the bar and 2 person tables. A really ancient TV hangs on the wall. I didn’t get a chance to get out the back patio section. The atmosphere is very chill, calm, relaxing and few-​beer-​in-​and-​out type scene.

This is an actual gem in the middle of downtown hollywood. There is a very wide selection of craft beers and all are only $ 4. Make sure to hit the ATM because it is cash only!

Great craft beers! Great prices! All of the beers are organized by styles like ipa, lagers, stouts, and there are around 200 on hand and a bunch on tap. Cool place, sweet outdoor patio! They only take cash, so hit up an atm before you go.

My wife and I used to patronize the place until we had the unpleasant experience of being served by a very unfriendly and obnoxious female who was more interested in letting you know that it was a cash only joint. We will never visit this place again.

Love it! Friendly atmosphere, great selection, all beers are $ 4… The back patio space is great too. If you appreciate a good beer bar, you wont be disappointed!

I’ve been at this place several times the good thing about this place is the deal of $ 4 a beer (all beer cost the same IPA, Ale, Stout, Porter, etc.) which compares with other places this deal is really good. They have a wide selection of beers.

There is no other business in Hollywood I would rather throw my money at than Old Hollywood Beerhouse. Great atmosphere, great owners and great beers! The effort put into this place is second to none.

We were looking for a place to have a drink and appetizer before dinner. Guacamole was great and surprisingly so was the wine even though it is a beer garden. Amber was our waitress she was so attentive!

Where do I begin?! Old Hollywood Beerhouse is a welcoming, small, cozy bar with seating indoors and outdoors and they offer a large beer list… Over 200 different beers! The staff is knowledgeable in brews and different types, and if you’re not sure what to order they’ll guide you in the right direction to make sure you enjoy your brew. Alicia helped our group out and she was spot on with service and recommendations for what to order. And I almost forgot the best part… all beers are only $ 4.00 each! The only downfall I could think of is the establishment only accepts cash. But that won’t stop me from rating this bar 5 stars! Definitely check it out when you get a chance!

Beer selection is amazing. Most I have ever seen. The bartenders know their stuff as well. I told the bartender what I liked and he found me the perfect beer time multiple time. Every single beer he gave me was amazing. On top of the selection every beer is only $ 4 so there is no confusion in the price. The only downfall is that it is cash only. Still, my favorite place to drink in Fort Lauderdale. Amazing place if you like good beer. Definitely worth a visit.

First of all, it’s just beer, though if you want bites there are plenty on the same street. There’s no menu, you just walk up to the counter and browse all the beer bottles on the wall. Which means you either remember the look of your favorite beer so you can spot it among the hundreds, or you are fairly familiar with beers so you can recognize the labels from afar and notice any new and interesting stuff.
However, don’t feel intimidated If you are just a casual drinker. They have about 10 beers on tap, and you can always ask for a taste before settling on one. You can also ask the staff to recommend something base on your preference.
I like this place because of the huge selection, it’s like going to Total. I prefer it over Euro Café because it’s not as divey. The log benches outside and the chairs in the back room are actually very comfortable to enjoy your beer on. On the other hand, beers here are all $ 4; while it makes for easy pricing, it means you won’t be able to find pricier, rarer stuff here as you may in Euro Café or Riverside Market.

In short, not a very welcoming beer house. Kinda like Cheers, but different. More like Jeers, where everyone doesn’t care to know your name lol.
I was with a group of 12 on a Saturday night, seated in the middle section of the bar, and each of us were forced to repeatedly get up and get our own beer. There were two bartenders and no waitresses. Perhaps this is how they do it. But walking to the bar everytime quickly becomes an annoyance.
There is a tiny bar, the only bar, right when you walk in. 200+ beers but we were never presented any sort of menu. Instead, window beer shopping as 200+ (I guess?) different beer bottles are shelved behind the bar.
Facts: The Hollywood Beerhouse only accepts cash and ALL beers are 4 bucks. No TVs except a continuous silent loop of the old cartoon Go Go Racer (I can’t make this stuff up). 3 tables with logs for seats (still picking out splinters to this day lol).
Opinion: With so many beer houses brewing in South Florida, I would take a pass on this one…

Hidden little gem in Hollywood. No food only beer. Very young crowd. Cash only but a great place to lounge around and talk with friends.

While on vacation in Hollywood, we made it a point to stop here since I love craft beer and I saw reviews saying this was the place to go when it came to selection & price… and it honestly lived up to my expectations.
Huge bottle selection, along with a good amount of craft beers on draft. I was able to get a mug of a local FL micro brew which was pretty good… and at $ 4 a beer the price was very reasonable. As other reviews have stated, it is a cash only bar.
It was a very laid back vibe inside, and while not a huge space, the layout was comfortable and definitely a good spot to hang out for a beer or 2 without breaking the bank. If I’m ever back down the area, I’ll definitely swing by again for a couple of brews.

What is this place, really? My boyfriend and I came here twice on a recent weekend trip to SoFla, and since I’m not a beer lover but he enjoyed this place so much, I feel the need to channel his thoughts. Yes, the rumors are true, and probably a beer lover’s dream come true: this place offers over 200 beers, all for $ 4 each, all cash only. Ask about their beer menu and the staff will happily gesture at the wall, where all 200+ bottles are displayed. Purchase your beer, and they’ll hand you a frosted mug for you to enjoy in any one of their hippy areas.
On our first night, my boyfriend and I ventured outside but the picnic table setup was packed with drinkers and smokers. We walked back in and we’re immediately in a room with large TVs and tables and seats that are literally made of logs. On both nights, we end up settling on a large brown couch next to a huge bookcase of the most random collection of books you’ll ever find, and behind a piano facing the wall. We enjoyed some pretty talented guests playing piano the first night. The second evening, the staff recognized us immediately, a surprising plus! This place is is cool that it almost makes no sense, but we (especially the boyfriend) loved it!

Lots of beers to choose from! And they are only $ 3 a draft across the board! Need I say much more? Not to mention the fact that we live less than 5 minutes away! Downtown Hollywood has done it again! The bartenders are awesome to talk to and seem to enjoy the place just as much as the visitors do.
Our bartender told us that the bar opened about 7 months ago, so this place is fairly new to the downtown Hollywood scene. The bar extends between Hollywood Blvd and Harrison St, so you can exit either side to reach either street. I’d compare the atmosphere to a bar you would normally find in Wynwood, Miami: very hipster, casual, and cool. The interior design has a 1950’s Marilyn Monroe/​Frank Sinatra feel to it (Frank Sinatra music was playing in the background).
Needless to say, I recommend visiting this spot for a date, a chill night out after work, or to simply have some laughs with friends. Aladdin, we found a rupee!
