Pretty good place. Quiet, not a lot of people most of the time. Chicken lo mein is pretty good, but spicy — heavy with pepper, from the taste. They can make it not spicy if you ask them to. Heavy on the violin music played through the speakers.

The worst restaurant I have ever experienced in my life. Oksana the server was wonderful and well composed based on the horrible position she was in. On the phone with a customer, poor water, welcoming guests while serving food and bussing tables. No sign of any management or Kosher Supervision. No Star.

Do not eat here! Would give no stars if possible! Waiting for 2 hrs for food and we were the only ones in the restaurant. Food tasted freezer burned. Half the items on the menu weren’t even available. We ordered a bottle of wine and they tried to sell us a bottle that was only ¾ of the way full. Not to mention the manager/owner was nasty as can be. Stay away!

If you’re looking for Kosher Chinese food, this place isn’t so bad. The portions were large and flavorful, and easy to share. The service is terribly slow though; we waited about an hour for our meal for 6 people. If you know what you want ahead of time, call in your meal.

Yes, this was the longest I’ve ever waited(over an hour after ordering) for an entrée to come out. And the soup portion was pretty small. Besides that, this place was great. Sesame chicken was delicious, as was the egg drop soup. Entrée was big; yes a little pricey, but that’s what you get for going for kosher.

Would give no stars if possible. I usually run to Unilocal to give good reviews to good restaurants that deserve it. This is the first time I’m compelled to get on Unilocal for a bad place and it’s only to give you nice people a fair warning. Food is cold, over salted, disgusting. I’ve never eaten bad duck before. The meat dish was so salty it was disgusting and they refused to take back bad food, they simply took it back stir fried it and gave it back. Sorry nasty food with sauce still tastes nasty. We think… well can they screw up desert too? Yep. Chocolate soufflé should be called chocolate fudge brick from hell LOL foodies beware.

Please don’t eat here unless you are prepared to wait 2 hours for cold, bad food. We ordered hot and sour and it came out with 1 slice of mushroom and was so cold it was like jello. We had to send it back twice. I told them no celery in the chicken chow mein. They made a stew of onions and giant pieces of chicken(3) yuk. The Stir fried vegetables were passable. The rice had ice chips in it. We order the talapia and that was almost decent but cold. We asked if there was trouble in the kitchen and the waitress said 2 waiters did not show up. We waited 45 minutes for the soup and there were 2 women doing the waitressing. The place was almost empty. For good reason.

I stopped in this evening because I had been looking for some meatless hot and sour soup in the area, and saw the previous review stating that this place was kosher, so I thought I’d give it a try. I ordered over the phone and it took me a few minutes to get in the car and drive there. When I got there the woman who I had ordered from over the phone instructed another employee to tell the chef to prepare my order. What was the point of calling ahead? Anyway, I paid the $ 5 for the soup and went home. Finally I sat down to eat it and it was not like any soup I had had before, no celery, bamboo shoots or seaweed. Instead I got carrots and green beans, something I have never had in a traditional hot and sour soup. In addition, the soup was not spicy at all. Just sour. Perhaps I should have expected the food to be different seeing as there was not a single Asian person who worked there which I think is quite odd for«Chinese» food. If you are looking for something different give it a try but I like my Asian cuisine prepared a little bit more traditionally.

I love kosher chinese food! Since I follow Kashrut, I enjoy trying different Chinese restaurants in my travels. I ate back at L’Chaim in November and again today since I was passing through the area on business. When you walk in, be prepared for a very dark atmosphere with almost a purple hue to the lighting. It makes it feel like a night club or a high-end establishment. The menu exclusively has dinner options with a few misspellings in it that no one has taken the time to correct. There are also more sleeves in the menu than pages, which gives the impression that they aren’t trying to polish themselves up to look like a higher-end restaurant. They could use the empty sleeves to explain the lunch rules better; however, as they don’t, the customer is reliant upon word of mouth for the explanation of the lunch ordering rules. For lunch, as it was explained to me, any chicken dish can be charged for a discounted price if you’re willing to get a smaller portion. I ordered some teriyaki honey beef and kung pao chicken. She told me that I would get to pick a soup as well. So, I asked for a cup of wonton soup. She said that they’re not allowed to serve that at lunch. I didn’t really want any soup as it was. She then asked me to pick another soup and gave me two choices: hot and sour or egg-drop(despite having 6 or 7 on the menu.) So, I picked Hot and Sour soup. Then, she wanted me to pick another soup since i was ordering ‘two’ things… even though one was an appetizer. So, i tried to tell her that I didn’t really want a second soup, especially if I couldn’t have wonton soup. Eventually, she left and forgot to take my friend’s order with whom I was dining. So, the comedy of errors continued and we flagged her back so that my friend could order her lunch. Unfortunately, this was not the end of the saga as when we got the check, she charged me for the soup that I was led to believe was included in my meal. She got the owner to reverse the charge. Then, my friend and I handed her two credit cards and said to put a given amount on one and charge the rest on mine. She took the cards to the counter and immediately sent the owner over to the table to clarify. There’s more, but you get the idea. The food itself was good. I’d probably give it a 3.5 out of 5 stars for the food. There are going to be a lot more veggies than you expect. For instance, kung pao dishes are generally limited to celery and peanuts. Their recipe used peppers and mushrooms and baby corn and a lot of other things which you would typically find in a vegetable stir fry. It was a nice change of pace in that regard and was certainly spicy. The reason that I didn’t reflect a 3 – 4 star rating was because I felt that the waitress didn’t have a solid grasp on what she was doing. We shouldn’t have to flag her down so that one person in the party can order. There were a lot of unnecessary delays, which was particularly unfortunate since I told her up front that my friend was crunched for time. Moreover, the restaurant was nearly empty; there was one other couple there in the entire establishment.

The floor is always sticky when I walk in here. My family’s order is always wrong. The owner is difficult and defensive. The prices are steep and the food is mediocre. If this is your only option for dinner… Go hungry.
