I came here for lunch once and had some pretty good steak fajitas. My two coworkers liked their dishes too — One had some fried chicken thing I think and the other had the tamales. They also have some all-you-can-eat taco deals and all-you-can-drink deals… I _tried_to check them out one night, but they close their kitchen kinda early during the week so I was forced to go to Whiskey Tango down the street. I don’t think it was even that late. Oh well — my food was good, so it’s all in the hood. They have a bunch of different salsas too.

The concept struck me as cool and original so we gave it a shot. Let’s start with the positive… the margarita sans margarita mix was delicious and innovative! Now let’s move on… the enchiladas were in a tortilla that could have easily been 2 years old and stale. I ate it only because I was starving. The rice with yellow corn looked delicious and I couldn’t wait to put it in my mouth, only to my horror I discovered that it was so hard I could break a tooth. The fajitas my husband ordered were simply ok. Nothing special. He says the beans were from a can, and I couldn’t say for sure because they didn’t look appetizing enough to even try. One thing I’ll say is, go there for the drinks and decent service. DO NoT eat there, it will be a huge disappointment!

It was 7pm on a Monday. Soccer match for Paraguay and Japan was on TV. They had karaōke stuff around, but it was not the night for it. The salsa we got was waterry at first, but then saw it being like a regular saucy salsa the second time. Since we were like the only customer, the server was able to come back to refill our waters and asked us if we needed anything. I wonder if it would be the same if it was so crowded. We’ll see about that! :) The salad we got had all the good ingredients. except that the onion tasted weird, like it was kept in the kitchen for a long time — that not so fresh taste. I hate that taste. My enchilladas with rice and beans was a big platter. It was of course greasy. but I liked it. I would have ordered some alcoholic beverages to soak all that in with my alcohol, but I was on Ibuprufen at the time.
