I had some prints framed here. I’ve never had anything framed before and knew it would be expensive so I came during one of the 70% off frame sales(that’s the best I’ve seen at Michaels). It still really hurt when they rang me up. The frames came out well though and the guy working there was very friendly. It took over 2 weeks to get them back which felt a little long. My main complaints about this store is that it is impossible to find someone to help you. In order to ask a simple question about where to find an item I had to go to a section that had products locked up for security reasons and buzz someone for help. Also it claims to be a fabric store, but they don’t sell large amounts of fabric or much variety. Not sure what I could use their selection of fabric for. The pieces didn’t seem large enough for anything useful. Maybe doll clothes?

I love Michael’s for its prices, artistic styles and its variety in products. This Michael’s was extremely full today, the line was 15 minutes since there was only 1 cashier available.(Awesome sales)

When did scrapbooking become so popular? I remember when I was making memory books for some of my sorority sisters during recruitment. At that time I didn’t know there was a whole world out there of acid free pens and markers for archival writing(aka fade resistant) or heavy weight paper in the all shades and textures. Not to mention all the different types of embellishments from fabrics to metals that you can glue, punch, or stick to papers to create your perfect page. Once I started, I has been full speed ahead– and the place with the most products for your scrapbooking needs is Michael’s. I have made several books, and used ideas from their website to create special menus for my wedding, and animal print papers as a note to guests about the donation that was made to the World Wildlife Federation. There also have many crafts that are easy for children of all ages to complete. The projects are great for bonding with little ones and also is great for their intellectual development. Every holiday they have specialty items such as gingerbread houses, haunted houses for Halloween, bunnies and felt for Easter, etc. There are also everyday projects with all different types of materials and colors. From the youngest to the most professional, Michael’s has tons to offer.

Two weeks ago, my daughter purchased a package of clay for a model project for school. When she tried to mold the clay Friday afternoon, it started to crumble into tiny pieces. Obviously, the clay was no good. The next day I went to Michael’s with the crumbled clay in its package and the original receipt. I was skeptical that I would not get back a refund because the package was opened and the clay had been used, but when I explained the situation to Katie, a Michael’s associate, she kindly told me that I was able to get a refund. Relieved, I was able to get a better clay for my daughter’s project.
