Mickey Byrne’s Irish Pub

Last night my wife and I discovered a jewel of a restaurant in Hollywood, Florida. Mickey Byrne’s is one of the best Irish Pubs we’ve ever eaten at. Mark (the manager, bartender, and server) was incredibly friendly and efficient. He even went as far as turning off one of his neon beer signs that was ruining the screen of the basketball game I was watching without me having had to ask him to do that. We were there on Monday’s $ 10.00 steak night. The steak was big and tasty, and is served with a baked potato and a small but good salad. It is served between 7:00 and 11:00 pm. They have great specials during the week that we will be trying very soon. Do yourself a favor and give this pub a try. I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Awesome place! Friendly staff and their Buffalo Garlic Parmesan chicken wings are amazing! 50 cent wings on Thursdays!

We love the live music when Tito is there and Nate the bartender is also super friendly.

Margot is a legit bartender, who is definitely on her game. She is really social, funny, and fast at keeping up with customer demands. Good environment and drinks.

This is a great Irish Pub. Gary the bartender is always very welcoming to all the guests. Love the Irish quesadilla unfortunately no longer on the menu. If I ask they will make it for me. Today I had the Fish And Chips classic you can’t go wrong. My husband had the Lester Burger. Great food, drinks and great vibe.

This is a local institution at this point, I have been coming here since they opened and have never been disappointed. Service is always great, Mark, Karen, Nate, Margo, Garry, Love you all. Food is always executed well and their specials are often really interesting. They also are very free with substitutions (try the buffalo chicken wrap with other wing sauces) Great food, great drinks, great service. Love it.

I have been to Mickeys several times and have always enjoyed it! They have trivia on Tuesday nights. It involves random questions, with a lot of them relating to events in the 80s and 90s, plus current music/​musicians. There is usually a good crowd with gift card prizes. I have also been to their happy hour, which is usually $ 2 off their beer and wine. The reason I gave them 4 instead of 5 stars is because the drinks are pretty pricey, especially compared to most Hollywood spots. Beers are $ 6 and up and wine is around $ 7 a glass (for house wine).
Service is always great! The atmosphere is authentic – cute, dark, Irish pub.

It’s pub food so not much to be expected but that’s just it… It was flat nothing to write home about. I heard they have good drinks but I was on the clock so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Margo was awesome I was a little hurt after my second budlight bottle I over heard her asking a guy if he wanted the bucket deal maybe she saw my dissapointed and said she would void the two she rang up to make a bucket and leave me three in the fridge so I fell in love Duh but to be fair she wasn’t the one who caters to me first had she I belive she would’ve told me the specials –my bartender name was Margo (I’m already in love) the scotch egg was good –did the food take a minute –perhaps but we didn’t care plus being in the biz I know –not to mention there a Browns bar so they were packed so in totaly ok with the wait If your starving just don’t come on a Browns game –back to Margo cute professional A game told me a bit bout her boss her Ireland trip I wish she worked for falcon that’s how awesome she is

Great place. Atmosphere is awesome and beer selection good. Food is excellent and service terrific!

I’m always here at least three times a week. The bartenders are the best and they remember your order after a few visits. The shepherds pie is awesome and the bangers and mash is always a go to. The wings are great and so are the soups that they serve. The drinks are always made properly. I either get different craft beers (which they have a lot of) or I get a mixed drink like a captain and coke. As a local in the area I am very aware of the other bars and restaurants in the area and this is definitely one of regular spots. I have met the owners and they are equally as a awesome. I have read previous reviews and some of them I find very hard to believe. If your in the area of even if you want to take a little trip definitely check it out. IRISH BARS ALWAYS HAVE DIM LIGHTS!!! As least the good ones too :)

I definitely had a good time here but there were several things that, if done correctly next time, could be a 5 star experience. The food here is great and the beer selection is awesome! However I should note that the «happy hour» beer prices are very off-putting…2−3 $ off any draft… but my beer cost $ 6, so that means I would have originally ordered an $ 8 beer? I could buy a 6 pack with that! Also, the appetizer took about a half an hour to get, and once we were done it, food came out. I’m fairly certain the app didn’t take too long to make since it’s mozzarella and bread. The meals were good and we were satisfied however it was deceptively pricey and long to wait for (only about 2 – 3 other couples in the restaurant at the time, 5−7p Tuesday).

The bar where everyone knows your name. Perfect location downtown Hollywood. Food is okay. Drinks are priced at the same level as local competition. Happy Hour is decent 4 – 7. Really the place is perfect on Friday and Saturday nights. Live bands, good drinks, and the bartenders are all cool peeps.

Been here twice now. First time it was packed on a Friday (Almost 8) and they seemed to be understaffed. The service was SO slow, we had to ask multiple people to help us with drinks. And they were out of 4 of the 8 scotches they has listed. Annoying. The second time we came it was earlier (around 7:20) on Saturday and it was just fine. Had a some mixed drinks and the nachos. The nachos we so amazing! I have heard the rest of their food is very good! I will be back.

Nice Irish bar on the strip, service was great Karen did a great job. Irish breakfast was awsome. Place could do with better lighting over the dinning booth good job we have cell phones as menu was hard to read. Touch tunes jukebox so I had to Rick roll the joint be for leaving. Will go again…

This place has a good Irish Pub feel to it. The food is very good and the beer selection is as well. They pour a PROPER pint of Guinness here, so be patient. Great place to watch football (American or English).

Great Irish pub! Drinks have a great price and the ambience is great, I went on a Wednesday night and they had Karaōke. Service was great.

Why have I never stopped in here before? I dunno? The service is great and the food is good and served until 3 am and the bar doesn’t close until 4, such a deal as they say in New York. We trotted from the Thai/​Jappanese joint opposite to have a sweet because the THAI/​jAPPANESE JOINT SAID, «NO NO NO, we are closed.» after we had finished a four course meal. Mickey Byrne gave us a nice Irish Coffee and a wonderful server who couldn’t have been more charming. I go for charm in a pub in a big way and Mickey’s has it in spades. We were so delighted that we stayed on their sidewalk café for several more and had we not eaten would certainly have tasted there wares. Speaking of which; they serve a Late Nite Menu until 3 am (I said that already); I will, for sure be back to redeem my Unilocal check-​in special again.

Great local pub. Food has a homemade not-​so-​Sysco feel to it. Good beer selection on/​off, and the standard Hollywood happy hour deal.
Nate and Doris will keep you laughing and your glass full. It’s owned by a couple of Micks, so you won’t miss a Premier or Champion League game.
Only complaint: what’s up with those dividers on the bar? Are the women meant to sit in the back like they did in the old days?

Not much to report yet following my first visit other than my initial observations, which are as follows …
First, I like that there is free parking in and around this section of Hollywood. I presume that’ll change once this place attracts a larger base of patrons roaming up the and down the blvd.
Second, I couldn’t help but compare and contrast this blvd to similar ones (East Las Olas in Fort Lauderdale, Clematis in downtown West Palm Beach, Lake Avenue in Lake Worth and, of course, Atlantic Avenue in Delray). I would consider this one to be a work in progress by all appearances. It is older and has a lot character, but feels a little worn down and in need of a makeover.
Third, the inside of Mickey Byrne’s is very dark, even in the daytime.
Four, you’ll get more than your fair share of soccer on the TV’s.
Five, they have a fairly impressive selection of tap beers.
Six, they have an outdoor café portion, which is a more preferable place to set up camp, particularly during daylight hours.
Looking forward to returning with more to report both on the food and atmosphere. This time, I had a couple of beers and an order of moz sticks/​marinara on a quiet and uneventful Saturday afternoon.
