Puppy Palace

I bought my miniature schnauzer Dexter from here. It had been a few weeks since I had lost my long time companion female Airedale Terrier. She was a great dog and I loved having her live with me in my apartment while I attended college in Orlando. I was visiting my home in Miami when she passed away. Because I knew I would feel lonely being up in Orlando by myself, I knew I needed to move on and find another dog to give my love to. I’ll admit, when I first pulled up to the store, it looked a bit sketchy from the outside, but I guess it’s true when they say you can’t judge a book by its cover. My mom and I entered into the store and were greeted by the owners. They were very friendly and allowed us to freely walk around the store and look at the puppies inside the tank.
It didn’t more than thirty seconds before I spotted my current dog. He was a little black miniature male schnauzer and he was so perky and happy when he spotted me. He was in a tank with another salt and pepper schnauzer who was definitely on the meek side. Whereas, Dexter was practically bouncing off the ways and looked in good health. I knew I had to get him because both my mother and I connected with him immediately. We were allowed to hold him and snuggle with him and it wasn’t long before I decided that I was going to get him.
Dexter was around $ 700. (The little female schnauzer was $ 900) I’m guessing he must have been on sale or something because I’ve recently glanced at the website and have noticed the prices are much higher now. Either way, Dexter had a wonderful time adapting in his new home. He was in perfect health, declared by my veterinarian. I got Dexter back in 2012 and he’s still doing wonderful and has given me no problems with his health.

This place is a puppy mill. Went in and noticed the puppies are kept in a disgusting and unhygienic environment. There was urine and feces all over the floor where the puppies were kept. Stay away from this place.

It’s unfortunate that I even have to give this disgusting place 1 star. Puppy Palace supports evil puppy mills. Do your research on them. Do not support this business or any business that is involved in animal cruelty. Go to the animal shelter or humane society or find a pet rescue. You will be glad you did.

I bought my poodle from here 10 years ago. Thankfully he’s never been sick a day in his life and has honestly been the best thing Ive ever purchased. I know of two other dogs bought from here and they were and are very healthy as well. I know some pet stores have bad reputations and may buy from puppy mills, but the dogs I know from here have all been well. Ive also visited here many many times. When my father was dying and I was so depressed, Id often stop here just to cuddle the puppies as therapy and always found the place to be clean and the puppies to look well.
Now that I just recently lost a dog (not the one from here) I am looking for another and will probably end up here when I am ready. Rather than read reviews from people who have never been here, go check them out for yourselves.

We got our first puppy here. Compared to other places in town, you can actually touch and play with puppy instead of just looking at them through the glass windows. The lady who works here is very nice and helpful. Love this place!

The puppies look so sad. I feel horrible for them. This place needs to be shut down. They sell sick puppies and don’t care about the dogs, only the money.

Do not purchase any animals from this pet store! They are on channel 10 news & have been selling sick puppies to people. Shame on you puppy palace. It’s time you close your doors!

Selling a sick pet? I saw this on Local 10 News and they had to pay $ 5,000 for a puppy. Never go here, many people we’re protesting about this situation. They actually disallowed the reporter of Local 10 to talk about this situation.
This store needs a perm close.

Wish I could give them ZERO stars. Poor puppies are sold here without any care whatsoever of their medical conditions. The puppy we were sold was very sick and with pneumonia. it was a hassle to deal with this place to take responsibility of the vet needs. As bad as I feel for the puppies Do Not do any business with this place.

Having been unable to find the next member of our family without running into scam after scam, we were referred to the Puppy Palace. The facility was extremely clean, the staff was vet friendly and knowledgeable! We found our furry baby, yesterday! She is a gorgeous Siberian Husky! We took her today for the vet visit that was included with her adoption. The vet looked her over with a complete physical, running all tests. She is in perfect shape! She had a slight cough, kennel cough, which is typical for any animal that is around others at a young age, whether home raised, kennel, shelter, etc. He supplied her with free antibiotics, and it should be gone in a matter of days! I would recommend Puppy Palace to anyone looking to adopt, they are great to work with, the puppies are all healthy and taken care of, and they guarantee their health!

I use to go here just to play with the puppy’s! It’s cool though cause the white people there don’t watch you as much as if you where going to steal a puppy. Prices are kinda steep but I guess it’s worth it of you know your getting a prime A1 dog!!!

I have been meaning to write this review for a week now. My boyfriend and I have been searching for the right puppy for a few weeks now. We made a visit to puppy palace just to look and I ended up falling in love with a Cavalier. He was such a little doll priced at 1299 (on sale) and I asked if they could do any better on the price and the woman in the office said no immediately and when she realized that we were serious about getting him she said she would make a call to see if they could take any $$ off. She finished her phone call and said that they could take 100 dollars off but had to let us know that the dog was born without testicles so if we were planning on getting him neutered we would not be able to.
I was completely disturbed. That is a serious birth defect. We left and when i got home I researched it and what I found made me very sad! Puppies born with cryptorchism are at risk for sever medical problems such as testicular torsion, testicular cancer, bone marrow hypoplasia, estrogen toxicity, and excessive testosterone production which can lead to behavior problems.
The only way this poor puppy stands a chance is with surgery and training. Which is very costly. And here is this puppy store that not only has the nerve to continue to sell this poor baby. Who is listed on the website under chip #4807 without medical care and without fully disclosing to customers what the consequences can be for this poor baby and the family that were to make him a new member.
I am so DISGUSTED that we will NEVER buy from ANY puppy store. We have chosen to adopt. Shame on these greedy, money hungry jerks who could care less about the life and well being of an animal.

I love my baby from this place, I’m sorry the rest of you couldn’t afford your vet bills or take care of an animal correctly. Thank you for my healthy happy little girl.
And EVEN IF THIS was a puppy mill type of place. which its not… it DOESN’T MATTER because once a dog is born it needs a home regardless. People just live to follow and hate without being truly informed.

I am very sad to write this after having to bring my puppy back because she was so sick. Even the vet they work with told us all their dogs are sick. Save the heartache and adopt or find a local breeder. All these dogs are sick with kennel cough and various other things. I am heartbroken and would not wish it on anyone else.

I agree with the reviewer below and would love to give this place 5 stars. The puppies are cute, the place is clean and they even let you hold the puppies and bond with them. But, I hear the puppies come from puppy mills and that’s not something I want to support. What sealed the deal for me today was the fact that there was an adorable Shiba Inu puppy (white one) who was not for sale because she had a neurological issue. The girl who works there told us the puppy was not for sale because somebody had put a deposit down for him (lies), but the guy who works there informed us of something else. He stated the puppy was not for sale because he has some neurological issues per the vet. We’ve decided to do some more searching and take the responsible, humane route.

It pains me to write a review on Puppy Palace.
On one side, I want to give it 5-​stars, because it’s a great place to bring your kids and watch a purebred (apparently?) puppy put a smile on your face.
However, it is a business, and the point of its presence isn’t based solely for entertainment purposes. Warranted, I’ve heard these animals come from commercial breeders, but I’m not clear whether or not these kennels have practiced inhumane methods — one wants to think not.
With that being said, I’d use careful judgment. I mean, without a doubt, adopting is more humane, but if you’re desperate for an 8-​week bulldog, chances are, you won’t find one at the local animal shelter. Even with a reputable breeder, you’re looking to travel very, very far. Most of the highly-​wanted breeders are located in northern Florida.
Anyway, I hope you make a wise decision.

This post is long overdue! Please, DO NOT GET ANY ANIMALS from this place. I work as veterinary technician and I promise you that 8 out 10 puppies that we see that come from puppy stores are sick or end up having problems. Majority of pet store puppies either come from puppy mills or are treated poorly. Almost all of them look «ok» at first and then within a few weeks their illnesses come out. I seriously should have known better, but I went just to look and of course against my better judgment fell in love with a special pup. Here is my horrific experience with Puppy Palace.
I bought a beautiful 3 month old (old for puppy store standards) springer spaniel for the lovely «discounted price» of $ 400. Of course she seemed healthy in her little 2×3 ft pen. However, very soon after I brought her home and she was able to run around I could tell something was not right. I took her to my boss right away to get checked out, did a full work up including x-​rays. Turned out that she either had or was just getting over a serious case of pneumonia. She would not eat the puppy food they gave me that supposedly she was being fed. It took a long time and lots of coaxing to get her to have a decent appetite.
Worse though, I realized that she was having problems holding her urine (not in the normal puppy way, but in a more serious way to the point where she didn’t even seem to know her was going) and her back legs were very weak and would give out. I followed Puppy Palace’s procedures and took her to THEIR vet, at which point their vet told me that she may have had trauma to her spine at some point or may have a congenital problem.
At first, puppy palace offered me a new puppy to which I said absolutely not! Then after days of avoiding my phone calls and hanging up on me they said I could keep the dog but I was to be responsible for all the bills and treatment. As torn as I was, I wasn’t in the position to care for dog with a possible life long problem. Finally, they contacted the breeder and said she WANTED the puppy back. They promised they would send the puppy back in the next week (because they had to wait for the puppy shipment bus) so that the breeder could keep her and she would live there as a pet instead. THREE WEEKS LATER I called just to make sure and sure enough they hadn’t sent her back. They said their other vet put her on antibiotics and that she was fine and looked normal to them!
I was heartbroken and can only imagine that they were trying to resell her. These people are despicable and will LIE just to make a sale! They will try to resell sick puppies.
If you want a pet, please just adopt or find a good breeder. I’ll never make that mistake again.

We bought a beautiful Wheaten Terrier and received the best service.
The place is extremely clean, the dogs are happy and the staff is knowledgeable.
I will recommend this place to all my friends.

Great place, well cared for animals! I can’t say enough about this location. Ignore the drama about the protesters, they don’t know what they are talking about. Mostly Anarchists and Animal Liberation Front Terrorist sympathizers. Yell vial abuse at the poor owners and visitors, and most of them don’t even own dogs. One leader of this group is John Brown, and the FBI has him on a watch list.

In 2007, I found this handsome Golden Retriever roaming the streets. His chip was registered with Puppy Palace (PP) in Hollywood. It took several phone calls for me to get connected with the folks that purchased him. His owner realized she wasn’t ready to take care of the dog. Do you think PP does a background check/​questions folks that purchase to see if they are ready to have a dog?
I called PP again and got the run around completely when I tried to contact the «breeder» in Oklahoma. Marley is now 4 years old. He has cataracts in both eyes, hip displasia, severe allergies and anxiety problems. Yes, sometimes puppies get sick, Imperial Point Vet clinic & PP’s associates makes $ when these puppies are sick.
Additionally, think about the demand, do you think they can afford to go to reputable breeders? If so, why would they be opposed to your visit? I have a feeling if I had met Marley’s parents it wouldn’t have been a pretty site.
Today, there was a protest against these folks. A sign held by pro PP people said that «Hitler was a Vegetarian». What does that have to do with the law suits these folks have had and the opposing party being against puppy mills?
