One of the best places I have ever eaten. Did not have a thing bad on the menu, everything was above any kind of expectation I could have had. Best asparagus I have ever had. Lamb chops with black garlic butter, amazing. The special was a meatball, also best meatball I have had. Not sure how any person could give this place a bad rating, meal was by far worth the price. Can’t wait to be back in town so I can return.

We took our family for a birthday celebration and found the meal very unsatisfactory. The meals were extremely overpriced, appetizers were tiny, salads unimpressive, and deserts very small portions. My husband ordered the snapper and was up all night with indigestion. I asked to substitute a vegetable for potato and was told there are no substitutions. I can understand if this is an early bird dinner but not for a $ 40.00 piece of fish. Our waiter was accommodating and helpful but the restaurant put the high tip on the check before it was paid. All in all, an unhappy event for a family of 7 to be charged so much money for mediocre food. We will not return!

We went here with some friends who had heard it was really good. It certainly did not disappoint. My partner and I started with the green salad. It was fabulous. Lots of interesting flavours. We stayed with simple with steaks for our main course and they were cooked to perfection. The had lots of choices and everything looked amazing. The only downside was the noise.

We arrived 15 mins early, were told our table would be ready in 7 mins, we waited over 30 mins and led to a table that was ready before we arrived. Food was good but way to expensive. $ 30.00 for a bowl of pasta? Also $ 20.00 for a glass of wine. Pasta was a little under cooked. The waiter Orlando was terrible, hard to understand and rarely there. The restaurant is small, where was he hiding?

I ordered the veal at this restaurant. It was served crispy as I requested. My husband ordered a pasta dish which he really enjoyed. The food is OK Italian food but it is very overpriced and the portions are small. We ate dinner at the bar because we arrive without reservations. The server was attentive and friendly and she knew the menu very well. I doubt that I will go back though because there are too many five star Italian restaurantswhere you can enjoy and even tastier meal at a better price point.

Went here 3 times out of the 6 we stayed in Hollywood. Everything we ordered was excellent. And we ordered different things each time. This place is definitely worth a visit. It was better then much more expensive places in Miami that we went to.

Had a lovely dinner, food was great. Waiter was a bit snobbish, seemed to be put out when asked to describe dishes. However, the best is yet to come. As soon as coffee was finished, the hostess came over and asked us to leave. Said the request came from the owner. Said another party was waiting for our table. This turned what could have been a really good meal into one that I will never repeat. We will not go back and will not recommend to anyone.

First rate Italian in an intimate setting tucked away on a side street leading right to the beach. I came here for an office holiday dinner and dined in one of the upstairs private rooms — spacious and complete with a large balcony– perfect for a small dinner party of about 20 – 25. Downstairs a small bar and dining area. Oh yes– and the food is really good. We had a set menu and guests selected grilled salmon, filet, pork or a pasta dish. Everything was delicious. Pasta was freshly made and served with a rich and flavorful short rib ragu. The pork chop was huge and perfectly prepared. The family style appetizers of meatballs, calamari and burrata were all devoured. And the pot of what we were told was fresh ricotta that was served with the perfect fresh crusty bread was a big hit. And the mango pana cotta was rich and decadently perfect. Good wine selections, excellent service and classic supper club– type ambiance make this venue quite unique for the neighborhood. I love that you cant tell it is a restaurant. It looks like a little hotel or townhouse. Perfect for a special occasion or an indulgent little night out — as the prices are well above average. Overall, you do get your money’s worth, considering the freshness of the ingredients and portion sizes. Valet is available, but it can be a bit of a wait for pick up based on my observations, so I will park nearby and walk when I return– and return I shall! Lovely place.

All I can say is WOW. Had our family get together last night and it could not have been better. We had a party of 12 in the private dining room upstairs. The host and chef, Fulvio Jr. tantalized our palettes the entire evening. Starting with a lovely meat and cheese board, single ravioli in broth, duck ravioli in one the most scrumptious sauces I have ever eaten, poached egg in tomato sauce, pork, steak and to finish the evening nutella filled mini doughnuts. Applause to the Sardelli family for being in business for so many years and continuing to amaze.

Amazing food!!! A hidden gem in south Florida. The hubby and I were invited to come and experience this Hollywood Beach secret. We started with the smoked burratta with peppers. Delicious!!! Then we ordered the rigatoni with meatball, sausage and short rib. The sauce was authentic Italian flavor. Felt like I was transported to Milan. So tasty!!! Next we ordered the bistec Florentines. Good cut a bit dry but remember to order one if their sauces. We had the mushroom masala as well as the double baked potato. For dessert we chose the molten chocolate cake. Tasty!!! Overall the food was tasty and arrived hot to your table. They have a nice wine selection. Nice ambiance. A place I will definitely return.

Guys, the cat is outta the bag here! This place is such a hidden gem. Worth the schlep to Hollywood from anywhere in South Florida. This restaurant is reminiscent of some of the down home Italian joints in South Philly. A comforting atmosphere, albeit five stories worth of comfort, and absolutely stellar service are icing on the cake. The food is the real star. Our first trip was a strictly pasta venture. We had gnocchi, cavatelli, raviolo and butternut squash ravioli. The only non-pasta dish we ordered was the meatball. Let me break it down for you-they were all stellar. The pasta was fresh, chewy and slightly al dente, and the meatball was tender-complete quality! Our server artfully guided us through the menu, perfectly recommending what we should order, how much we should order, and the best order of how it should be served. This restaurant is not cheap, but I can assure you the prices accurately represent the quality of the food. You can’t go wrong here!

2 words: Vinegar. Peppers. This place really impressed me. We started off with the calamari and steak tartare for apps. Both were great. The calamari was tossed with a light red sauce and vinegar peppers. The tartare was well seasoned and came with some crostinis. The chef also sent out a small tomato soup /bisque. Tasty as well. The apps were all very good but the entrees were rock stars. The chicken scarpariello was excellent. The meat was butchered nicely, very juicy with nice crisp skin and perfectly seasoned. It had the vinegar peppers as well. Overall it was a great, balanced dish. We also had the yellowtail francese. Again, it was excellent. Perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned. The portion sizes for both dishes were great. We also ordered a half order of the cavatelli. Hand made and again, very good. Impressive size for a half bowl. They have a good size wine list to along with it. Sensibly priced compared to other places I’ve been to. Valet parking out front. You’re steps away from the beach, with the water visible from the front of the location(looking down the street, not from inside though). Overall we couldn’t have been happier. Excellent food and prompt service. Will absolutely be returning. Give this place your business. They deserve it.

Wow, what a wonderful establishment. Being a newbie to South Florida, I recently dined at Sardellis. It was a Saturday night, in August, you’d think it would be crowded, but it WAS and there is a good reason why! Sardellis is the«real deal», it’s authentic Italian cuisine! The ambiance is superb, The Sardellis have invested so much into their restaurant and it comes through LOUD&CLEAR. The service was impeccable, the food is delicious served with loving care. Our party of 4 had a variety of dishes including fresh fish, Chicken Scarpariello, a classic dish that was as good as any I’ve ever had. All I can say is if you’re in South Florida for a vacation or you live here be sure to Make Sadellis a MUST visit and make a reservation soon!!!

Sardelli came highly recommended by a Miami chef friend and it(mostly) did not disappoint. In fact, I would say I am indeed a fan and will(probably) be back. Arrived on time for our reservation and found street parking(weekday luck). Valet parking is available as well. The restaurant’s beachfront location is perfect for a post-dinner stroll. Purposely designed to look more like a home and less of a commercial structure, you won’t find any large signage on it. Reservations are a must. They can’t be done on Opentable and you have to pick up the phone and call«old school,» which is a bit inconvenient. We went up several steps in the front, entered through the beautiful«front door,» and checked in at the hostess stand. The woman in the front was a bit icy. Is it so hard to give a warm welcome and a smile? Our friends were not there yet so we walked ourselves to the bar to wait. No love lost there. At the bar, service was very friendly and welcoming. Once our party was complete, we were finally escorted to our table. The interiors are elegant and inviting. Dimmed lighting easily set the mood for romance, and private conversation. In our case(birthday celebration-party of four), the ambiance worked as well. It’s truly lovely inside. OURDINNER House focaccia bread– very good Complimentary butternut squash soup– liked the taste, but I prefer a thicker texture than the one served. Octopus– in a lemon vinaigrette. Reminded me of a ceviche. Refreshing and tangy. Loved this one. Raviolo– I am a raviolo snob. This one is not the best I’ve ever had, but it was good. Everyone else in our table loved it. Potato Croquettes — with a bacon jalapeño sour cream. Really good. Bucatini Carbonara– Also not the best I’ve ever had(helllloooo MC Kitchen!), but it was also very good and a table favorite. Braised Veal Shank Cavatelli in truffle butter– I will say this. My friend who ordered it is extremely picky with her food and she loved it. Two thumbs up! Colorado Lamb Chops– a little on the fatty side, but a lot on the flavorful side. Excellent. Seasoned just right and good enough for me to finish my entire half(shared with the hubby) even though I was full by then. Gluttony. I know. FIlet Mignon– excellent Desserts– your typical Italian cheesecake, crème brûlée, and panna cotta. Nothing stood out as a must-have, so we just went with the crème brûlée. It was nice: just the right amount of sweetness to end our dinner. Given my sweet tooth, I would have loved a more enticing and creative dessert list. SERVICE Our waiter was very nice and on top of everything. Water glasses were refilled before I ever knew they needed to be, and our wine was opened promptly. WINERANT Speaking of wine, I do wish Sardelli allowed outside wine(with a corkage fee, of course). As an avid wine drinker, it is excruciating to have to severely overpay for wine I already have at home on top of an already expensive dinner. This always becomes an important point when choosing to return to a restaurant and in fact, it’s what kept me away for so long. With very little exception, most fine-dining restaurants I’ve been to in Dade and Broward county allow it. Shoot, even nationwide! The top restaurants in the U.S. see no problem in allowing their diners to do so! That small courtesy goes a long way. All of that said, I really did enjoy our experience at Sardelli and I’m sure I will be back someday.

This is a duplicate of the more correct Unilocal entry erroneously created by adding an «s» to the correct restaurant name, Sardelli. I’ve reported the matter to Unilocal as being an error entry as well as a duplicate, but for the meantime merely enter my review as previously posted under the correct name of the restaurant. Sardelli is definitely an upper scale restaurant which is pretty well evident not only by their food, which clearly uses all top notch fresh ingredients but also, as expected, by their prices which though somewhat steep aren’t unreasonable for what you get. Their hostess who greeted me at the door with a «What you want?» question could certainly use little more polish and some better mannerisms; and it’s always nice to be asked something like«Is this table good?» when seating you rather than simply being marched over to a table especially when you are there on a customer starved Monday night. I was first giving a complimentary cup of pea based soup which was really delicious and served as a pleasant start to my meal. I started off with the Caesar salad which came with a good array of white anchovy along with a particularly fine dressing and coated with a top shelf tasty parmigiano cheese. The salad itself was crispy, fresh, full flavored and contained the very heart of the romaine. For my entrée I went for the duck with cherry, which contained a cherry with which I am unfamiliar, but served as a good enhancement, complimenting the overall flavor of the duck. They had several specials such as a veal chop & etc. and their menu contains a good selection of meats in which they seem to specialize. I did see the veal chop ordered by another table and was pleased that I had declined it as it was served to them covered with what appeared to be some type of tomato based sauce that I would fear might be more detracting to the flavor of the dish than enhancing. Overall, it’s a good restaurant, I had a pleasant dining experience and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

I’ll cut to the chase on this one. I absolutely adored Sardelli. From the ambience to the décor to the service to the food… a home run! You could pass Sardelli and not even know it(except for the valet in front). There is no sign on the regal looking townhouse. The intimate dining space on the first floor, consisting of dark colors and huge gilded mirrors, makes you feel like you are dining in a private home. The food was absolutely divine! The menu was certainly a crowd pleaser for my entire family because it pleased the meat, fish, and pasta lovers. Sardelli is a first rate steak house but also has lots of fresh fish. Sardelli also makes all of it’s pasta in-house. Items the table ordered: Chopped Pork Belly Caesar: the chopped pork belly made this more interesting than your average Caesar and the dressing was very good. The Salad of the Day: I forgot exactly what was in this but it just looked like lots of greens. Forgettable. Raviolo(ricotta, spinach, pancetta, egg yolk, sage brown butter, in one big ravioli): So scrumptious! I am still deciding who makes the better Raviolo, Sardelli or Raviolo. I am leaning towards… Sardelli! Filet Mignon: Tender & tasty! Branzino Special: Cooked in a lemon sauce with capers, this was light and just perfect. The portion was big enough for my Mom & I to share(along with a little extra pasta, of course!) Short ribs: Braised for 48 hours, Husband said they were soft like«butter» and absolutely delicious. Cavatelli, braised veal shank, parmigiano, truffle butter, veal broth: I ordered a half portion of this just in case the fish I shared with my Mom was not enough. Boy, I wish I had ordered a full portion because everyone else devoured it! The pasta had the perfect texture and the sauce was delectably savory but not too rich. This was my favorite dish of the night, even if there was far too little of it left for me! Being a birthday celebration, we did finish with dessert. Sardelli was out of Crème Brûlée that night so we had to settle got a a Bread Pudding and a Chocolate Bomb Cake, both with ice cream. I only had a taste of each but they were sinfully rich and delicious. The service was very friendly, although dishes came out a tad slow at times. I don’t think this was the server’s fault, but the kitchen’s. For example, when it took a while for the Raviolo, we were told that the Raviolo are made fresh and they were not ready yet. When they came they were well worth the wait! At another lull in service, our service came out with a complimentary small bowl of cream of tomato soup(very yummy!). A little late for an amuse bouche, I am not sure if Sardelli usually does this mid service or the chef sent it since he knew service was slow. After our meal, we toured the 3 other floors. These are great rooms with spectacular views for parties and events for 30 – 80 people. Sardelli will definitely be high on our list for special occasion dining destinations. I look forward to future visits and trying some more homemade pasta!

My boyfriend and I dined here for one of our first meals on a recent vacation. We were impressed by all the high reviews and decided to give this place a go! Sardelli oozes with romance. Located on a residential street in a four-story house, the only tell-tale sign you’re at a restaurant is the valet station outside. Otherwise, you hear the chatter of other residences enjoying the warm ocean breeze and see the soft glow of the evening lights. Upon walking in, you immediately realize you’re in a classy restaurant. A large bar sits to the corner and an open dining room is filled with large tables prepped with formal settings. We made same-day reservations and were seated immediately. When we first arrived the restaurant was fairly empty and we questioned the necessity of our reservations, but patrons soon filed in and I would highly recommend not taking any chances – make the reservation! We started off our meal with a complimentary mushroom soup. This was delicious. For our appetizer, we ordered the Sweet & Spicy shrimp, served with shaved red onions, cilantro, and habanero jelly. For $ 15, this is a pricey appetizer, but the size of the shrimp and the serving is generous. The shrimp arrives lightly coated in a fried batter, hot and fresh on the inside. The sweet and spicy sauce, combined with everything else in the dish complements itself very well, and the whole thing is incredibly delicious. We finished every bite! For my main, I chose the duck special. Served with a red wine reduction, this dish was perfectly seasoned. The duck was cooked incredibly well and the whole plate was bursting with delicious flavor. We decided to grab dessert elsewhere, but I have a feeling you can’t go wrong with anything at Sardelli. Definitely a great, romantic date spot and a must try!
