One early Monday morning, as I awaited my mechanic to finish working on our family car, I discovered this place from the strong savory donut aroma that led me to the front door. Upon entering The Dandee Donut Factory, I was greeted by a friendly staff and a wide variety of donut choices. Of course there were your standard Boston Cream, powdered and glazed donuts but also some unique varieties. The Chocolate Honey Dipped, Key Lime Coconut and Red Velvet Glazed were some to name a few. The Red Raspberry stick I had selected was a pleasant cake style donut with a tasty raspberry filling and was great for coffee dipping. I also took great delight with my Boston Cream donut. While it was a solid donut with a chocolate glazed top and custard filling, the dough felt lighter than your average donut making it even more enjoyable. As a staple of the Hollywood, FL community, it’s no wonder how this spot attracts locals and tourists alike — it feels like«your» classic donut shop and they make you feel at home the moment you walk through the door. Beyond the donuts, my eyes(and taste buds) were intrigued by a variety of omelettes and other pastries that the other patrons were enjoying. I will definitely be back to try some other menu items paired up with their uniquely classic donuts.

First time coming here and I loved it ! We ordered a breakfast burrito and an egg and cheese croissant. The burrito was outstanding. I was a tad disappointed with my croissant sandwich. Entirely my fault. I was expecting it to bond with bacon. Didn’t phase me when I ordered that it read«egg and cheese». It was still yummy. Their doughnuts were amazing ! I love French crullers. Their honey dipped cruller did not disappoint. Coming home with half a dozen assorted flavors.. It’s s long ways from where I live, but I’d probably be back.

Dandee is delish! Such a wide array of flavors :) my favorite is the blueberry cake donut! It’s a small shop, buts it’s homey, friendly, and inviting! You should stop in if you haven’t before!

Dandee is a local institution in Hollywood, and it shows. The small eatery specializes in their fresh donuts, which are physically larger and most flavorful than any national chain I’ve experienced. With a small lunch counter and a row of booths, the location is small, but very popular. After experiencing a Boston Cream Cronut the side of my fist, I was hooked. In addition to donuts, they also serve breakfast, but it’s hard to think about eggs and bacon when the wall of over-sized donuts looms near. If you’re looking for specific donuts for your office, you can order ahead rather than just walking up. This is a good idea if you’re looking for seasonal flavors they offer around specific holidays.

Endroit ouvert dès 5h00 du matin(avec le décalage horaire c’est pratique), c’est un lieu typiquement US. Très grand choix pour les donuts. Petits déjeuners sucrés et salés copieux et délicieux.

I love Dandee Donuts! I went for breakfast and had an oreo donut. It is a chocolate cake donut topped with white frosting and oreo crumbles. Go early to have the best donut selection. It was hard to have only one! I also had the omelet with ham and peppers. It comes with toast and fried potatoes. Service was quick and food delicious. It is a casual diner. There is parking in the attached parking lot. You can dine at the counter or at the few side tables they have. Many people stop in to get their donuts to go. They also have a outside window you can get coffee and donuts from. There are a few outside tables. The omelet and donut cost $ 10. Good deal:)

It’s Dunkin’ with better quality and service. This location, although not in the best area, has a great selection of premium donuts like«mango coconut» and«maple nut topped.» It’s about $ 8 – 9 for a half a dozen which is pricey but you are getting quality stuff here. The donuts are several notches above DD, and with rival Mojo in the area, it’s quite the contest! I’d like to try their coffee next and see how that is.

Initially, I was planning on giving 4 stars… but then I thought back to how delicious my bacon, egg, and cheese croissant sandwich was this morning and I had to bump it up. I’ve never been huge into doughnuts; I’ll have one every now and then due to a random craving, but they’re not a constant presence in my life. What I DO love, however, is a good breakfast sandwich! You cannot go wrong with their croissants — they take a fresh one off of the display and take it to the kitchen… when they bring it back to you, it’s full of amazing salty, cheesy, bacony goodness. Their bagels are great too, and huge! They have an array of donuts, different assortments every time I go. Sometimes they have ones I like(french crullers, chocolate cake, toasted coconut) but their apple fritters are always spectacular: sweet glaze on the semi-crispy outside, nice and soft on the inside with sweet apple bits. They go perfect with coffee. My wife enjoys their sugar twists(also huge) and boston cremes. When I lived in a small town in West Virginia for a while, a mainstay of the town was their little mom and pop style doughnut shop. I was afraid I would never find one along those same lines moving back to the big, bad city, but I have been proven wrong by Dandee’s and I am glad it is not on my way in to work because I’d be going there every morning.

For a brief period in my career I had a surreal experience working out of an office on Hollywood Blvd, and I think it was toward the end of my time there that someone pointed out how close my office was to Dandee, and said how dangerous that was to be so close, and I had no idea what he was talking about. It’s a good thing, because AFTER I moved from those offices I tried Dandee, and I think my health might have suffered if I’d known about them when they were down the street. I’ve never had a donut here I didn’t like, and they have recently added ‘cronuts’ to their repetoire, and they are pretty amazing too if you get them fresh out of the oven(I had ones that were a little old on another occasion, and they seemed a little stale, which is hard to believe given that they sell out of them so quickly). It’s good to see an independent company competing with the«donut oligopoly»(dunkin, Krispy, etc.), and beating them easily on quality and value. Go Dandee, but go in moderation — this isn’t ‘health food’.

My first time here I only bought an éclair and I thought it was amazing.(I haven’t had an éclair since I was 7 but tried Boston cream which I thought was the same, it made me nauseous so I stayed away) Nearly 20 years later and I’m reminiscing. Today I came in and wanted to try their pizza(I love thin pizza) and a pistachio muffin. I came 20 minutes before closing and I was rushed and double charged, if it weren’t for my cousin standing by the register and seeing my order they wouldn’t have said anything. I was charged already so instead of returning the money to my credit card she gave me cash. Honestly, the pizza taste like the smell of this place(donuts, muffin, pizza etc) first time i ever had a dry pizza. I couldn’t even finish it. The pizza didn’t taste right, my cousin only had 2 bites of hers and threw it away. The pistachio muffin however has a nice pistachio almond taste. I love it. But being over charged, rushed and wasting money on donut tasting, super dry pizza, that’s wrong.

I know I’ve said this before, but they seriously do have the BEST cup of coffee in town! I usually stop here once a week while I’m in the downtown Hollywood area. I used to drive by this place and think, it doesn’t look that great, but one day I was in desperate need of coffee so I thought, how bad can it be… ummm…kicking myself for not stopping in sooner! Something very magical happens when you enter Dandee Donuts… your senses become alive! I feel like I’m back in New York in a real bakery. It doesn’t matter which type of donut you choose, each one is fresh, soft and delicious. I’m a plain and simple jelly donut kinda girl, by far the best jelly donut. My favorite item on the breakfast menu is the breakfast burrito. The eggs are scrambled perfectly with the right amount of cheese, sausage, salsa and is always wrapped perfectly! Dandee Donuts is not one of those new ‘fancy’ donut places, it’s old fashioned and that’s what I love about the place. They do have an assortment of ‘specialty’ donuts including the ‘Cronut’, which is on my Bucket List to try… yes, I have a Bucket List for this place! They offer a full menu which included sandwiches, burgers, dogs, pizza and salads. Trying to make it there one day for lunch! There are a few tables and a counter inside as well as a few tables outside to enjoy all your yummy treats!

Looking for a classic — not chain– donut place to treat my co-workers with a TGIF nosh. I knew there would be one in Hollywood. Lucky us, it was down the road from the office. Uh oh. This place looks like it is a mainstay. The old counter gives it away. So do the donuts. The«Dandee» donut is ridiculously decadent and huge, a combo of glazed topped with toasted coconut and a crispy cake like hunk of no turning back, diet busting delicious. There are many other unique but simple flavors. They serve breakfast here too and lunch and maybe dinner though I can’t imagine feasting on anything other than a honking donut here. Proceed with caution.

Love love love Dandee Doughnuts. In my opinion, these are the best doughnuts in town. I have visited their Pompano location several times for a half dozen or dozen. This is my first time eating breakfast here and it did not disappoint. We ordered a bacon egg and cheese on a croissant which was delicious. Especially with the croissant being toasted. We also had the same thing on a multi grain bagel which was also delicious. Of course we couldn’t leave without a half dozen doughnuts. Blueberry cake, cherry cake, blueberry pie, strawberry dip, walnut bar, and a blueberry fritter(can you tell we like berries??). We also walked out with a Bavarian Croughnut. I’m usually a very healthy eater, but this place is my go to for a cheat snack every once in a while. Especially that blueberry cake doughnut.

If you are looking for unconventional donuts, this is the place to go!!! I have been here now a handful of times, and everytime I go this place, it makes me fall in love even more, They have all kinds of donuts in different flavors, sizes and textures, so everyone really has something to choose from. I have tried their apple fritter, sour cream, chocolate and plain donuts in the past and they have been phenomenal, however on this occasion, my husband and I shared a breakfast burrito and we each had a donut. The burrito was really something else! I am not a huge huge fan of burritos for breakfast, but this one was simply delicious. The eggs, the veggies and the sausage just had a special flavor that I have never tried before in a burrito. I’m pretty sure its all on the way they season it, and the salsa that goes with it just takes the burrito to another level. The donuts we had that day were the strawberry cheesecake and the gingerbread one. I must say the strawberry one was my ultimate favorite because the donut itself was very«cakey», and the filling had all the right amount of flavors for the strawberry and the cheese. I overall love this place, because there hasn’t been one time where I am disappointing. Their service is really good and their food even better. I am hungry for a donut now!

Such a friendly place. This Dundee Donuts is located east of 95 on Hollywood blvd, beside a check cashing store, don’t be scared. They have a to-go pedestrian window where you can order from outside. I stood in front of the granite counter, I ordered a half dozen donuts. Each donut is 1.50 and better pricing if you buy more. They also offer combo pricing, I ordered an XL coffee and muffin for around 5 $. I wanted to try the Turnovers, Danish, and Chocolate croissants too, but there’s only so much I can have in my presence at home at one time ;) I ordered Oreo, Red Velvet with honey glaze, French curler, I asked the girl how many I chose, she said 3… nice I get to pick 3 more! I chose the Apple fritter, cinnamon bun, and the sour cream donut — the signature Dandee donut ;) The Oreo was okay, wouldn’t order it again, the red velvet was moist and good chocolatey flav. The French curler tastes so fresh! This is my fav all time donut, and it was better than Dunkin by far! The Apple fritter was huge! Crunchy crust, pulls apart in sections, pieces of real Apple, but the flavor and cinnamon was slightly lacking. I prefered the cinnamon roll to the Fritter, but it can use more cinnamon too, in my opinion. Great pulley dough seconds, honey glaze, again better than Dunkin. Sour cream donut is a must! It had weight to it, a dense yet soft sweet center, a crunchy crust with a honey glaze, this donut is heaven! I can’t recall having a better donut than the Sour Cream one here, do yourself a favor and order it! Do it :) My Muffin I chose the Chocolate, Chocolate Chip muffin. Wow! So huge! Bigger than my hand, my eyes lit up when I carefully took the masterpiece out of the bag. ** I have to note big plus — the paper bag that held the muffin was not see through nor greasy like other muffins you might get! It has Vanilla batter with Chocolate Chips at the base, and the top is Chocolate batter with more Chocolate Chips and topped with raw cane sugar. It’s not overly sweet, has a moist cakey center and crunchy crust, if you live chocolate muffins you’ll love this one! The coffee was okay, I wouldn’t come here just for the coffee, it’s the sweet stuff that makes this place great. Yes I will be back soon, I need to try the Chocolate Croissant and Danish of course. **i came back and got the Apple Turnover: flakey, apple filling, nuts and raisins And the Chocolate Croissant: more donut-like, with a chocolate donut filling, and sweet sugar chocolate(chocolate glaze) drizzled on top. I recommend getting the Sour Cream Donut… A Must.**

I’m OBSESSED with their donuts. They have a huge variety of flavors to choose from. My personal favorite is the sour cream donut. It is glazed to perfection. The actual donut is heavy; not like dunkin donuts where their donuts are puffed air. These donuts have weight to them. I also enjoy their sour cream varieties, such as the cherry… wow talk about mouth watering. I came here with my fiancé and we agreed on one donut each… we bought 3 though because we couldn’t decide on just 2. I like how they also have samples on the counter of various donuts. I was able to try the red velvet and definitely going to get that next time. Not overly rich, but hit the spot. Anyway, I have been spoiled by their donuts and can’t do the dunkin variety, or any other for that matter. If I’m going to eat a donut, then I want the good stuff, the craft specialty variety, and this is it. All of the staff is extremely friendly and this place also serves breakfast and lunch. They had some pretty cheap specials that sounded good. This is where I take my out of town guests who I want to impress!

4.5 stars. The best donuts I’ve ever had were«donut plant» in NYC, and until I try Mojo donuts in(distant) pembroke, I can’t give dandee top(5*) honors, but it is definitely a step above Krispy Kreme. The red velvet with salted caramel frosting was very tasty. Coconut also amazing. Will be back for more!
