This review is for their food truck that goes to the new UM life science research building located at 1951 NW 7th Ave. Every thursday there is a food truck event at the parking lot. Free parking. Balans is also there regularly each week offering wine and beer at happy hour prices.
My first trip here, I decided to try the Mediterranean Nugget Food truck. For $ 6 you can get a gyro and fries. or a drink (Hint: They don’t tell that you can swap the fries for a drink, and it’s not on the menu either.) My boyfriend ended up getting fries with his gyro. Fries + Gyro + Water + Gryo = very content couple.
The meat in the gyro was slightly thinner and crispier than I expected from a usual gyro. But their special sauce — lime, cilantro, and other secret ingredients was what made the gyro delish! I definitely would order from there again!
Good music playing and really chill and relaxing environment.
