Ridiculously poor service. I made an appointment for a massage and facial after wrangling to find a time when the woman could do both. Apparently she doesn’t work often. When I arrived, I was told she had called in sick. They said they had been unable to reach me to let me know. They were trying to contact a «Beth» at a 338 number. My name is Debbie at a 778 number. When I complained, the snotty receptionist told me, «Well, you wouldn’t want someone working on you who was sick, would you?». I told her that wasn’t the point. The point was that they hadn’t contacted me since all of their information was incorrect. Something similar happened last year. Terrible service.

Came in for a massage during a girls getaway. My massage therapist was Dawn. She was very professional and also very amazing. Being that I am a massage therapist myself, my standards are pretty high and I tend to be rather picky about details. This massage far exceeded my already high expectations! If I can get back in there before we go home, I just might.

Massage… the best that I have ever had… and I have had a lot. Dawn McCarthy, the masseuse, was incredible. She didn’t talk once she started after the foot bath; she used hot towels countered by cold hands;she didn’t rush and the pressure was excellent. It was better than at the Ritz and only$ 90 without the tip.

Arrived on time for appointment, spent 7 minutes waiting at reception desk while owner chatted with a friend about houses. The other gal at desk joined in conversation when she got off her phone call. When the owner finally acknowledged that I was standing right in front of her she stated she could not see me because the sun was in her eyes. When I stated that perhaps a pull down shade on the windows would help she mimicked me! No apologies or welcome for me. I was stunned she I found out she was the owner as she reminded me of a snotty teenager. The stylist Ali was good. There are so many good salons on Anna Maria Island please don’t settle for this one.

160,00 and I could cry. Worst haircut I’ve ever had. Color is okay but who cares when the cut is just hacked up. Never again!

Made an appointment for same day for color and cut. Thought better of it and decided I only needed a hair cut at the moment. Knowing how salons book blocks of time for certain processes, I called back within a few minutes to let them know I would only need a hair cut. I was being respectful of the stylist’s time. The receptionist made it sound as though they had plenty of appointments available that day and if I needed to change times, that would be fine. So, when I arrived to my appointment, scheduled for 2:15pm and I arrived at 2:13pm, I was told that my stylist would be right out. I was asked if I wanted a glass of water while I waited. I took the glass of water and waited. And waited. And waited. After sitting and WAITING for 37 minutes, I walked up to the receptionist and said«cancel my appointment. Clearly my time is not as valuable as someone else’s!» The receptionist didn’t say a word. Instead she huffed and marched over to the bench I was sitting at and picked up my empty glass. As if to scold me for leaving it there. I was so incensed when I left that I called and asked to speak with the manager. I was advised that he was out of the salon. I asked when he would be back and the woman rudely replied«we’re working with a skeleton crew until Tuesday!» Ok, not my problem as a customer. That didn’t answer my question about the manager’s time frame and the attitude is unnecessary. So, to sum this all up. This is an Aveda salon that clearly is poorly managed. They lack employees with couth and have the WORST customer service.

received a spa finder gift card. Acqua Aveda salon WAS listed as accepting when bought. called today to confirm they accept and they no longer do. What a disappointment. We were going to book a couple of spa treatments. Their loss. Will go some where else on this beautiful island. Some where where they will accept my business. Might add we live here. This gift was from a friend who stayed at our house.
