Roasting experience was fun and informative. A fee of $ 35 is charged and you get to take home the beans you roasted. You have the option of how you want your beans to be(how dark). A brief tour of the plantation is included. They also have ucc merchandise for sale. Free coffee tasting as well.

This was our first Kona Coffee Farm visit. We came for the Roast Master Tour(Worth it!) their coffee is wonderful! Beautiful location and great staff. Jeff(?) who taught us how to roast our own coffee also told us everything we ever wanted to know about the coffee industry! It was a very personal and wonderful experience. After this tour, I can’t say we need to visit any other farms!

This was nice, we got to roast our own coffee which was a unique experience and the ice cream was good. There’s not really a tour but u can walk around the farm and the employees were very nice and willing to answer every one of my numerous questions.

Ever sat on a Japanese toto butt cleansing toilet seat? You have not lived if your answer is a sad no, bro! Well, despair no more. Go there for a scheduled guided tour to go down the kona coffee farm. Drink their sample coffee and get a cool burlap bag. They also have coffee ice cream too. Then, after the nice walk down the farm and all these consumption, you should be ready and good to go for a run on that toto seat. Adjust the pressure and strength of dat steam of gentle water going up your who-ha. They even got a dryer to help you out. Hey, congratulations! You have just experienced the best wipe you would probably get on the island. Have I mentioned toto seats go for couple hundreds up to thousands of u.s. of a. Dollars? Daym you just got a spa treatment for free here at this farm. Oh. Yes. Great coffee.

If you are driving by or love the smell of roasting coffee STOP. This unique road side coffee farm, coffee sampler/roaster place is unique in that you can make your own roaster coffee and label it with your own name and photo. Voila, the perfect gift from Hawaii, and if the coffee you roasted is terrible then there is no one to blame except you!

Was so awesome! Couldn’t have experienced Kona in a better way. Truly a wonderful experience, who knew I could make coffee! The owner was so funny and genuine, really made our experience so memorable!

The view is certainly awesome and I appreciated the touch of having the coffee tastings served in proper glassware. That aside, the Kona coffee itself didn’t have any distinct smoothness, depth or complexity.

Awesome view. The crackulated estate hot coffee is the best of the 3 tasting options. It’s the only coffee I’ve ever had that I would drink black and enjoy. It’s expensive but worth it. Bonus: If you spend over $ 20(?) you get a free cup of delicious kona coffee ice cream!

This was pretty fun and informative! First off, it is a spectacular location with a huge view over most of the Kona coast. Plenty of parking and comfort amenities available. Taste the varieties of coffee while you wait for your tour. Which tour do you want? The Basic or the Delux Roast Your Own? Yup, we chose to do the Delux Roast Your Own! First, a photo is taken for the label of your coffee beans you’ll be roasting. You’ll choose the text printed below as well. HINT: If you want 4 bags, choose the 4 bag set with one label instead of 2 bags each. You’ll save $ 20+! Roasting will be done in the coolest antique Italian roasters! Perfect for roasting the small batches, following the progress of your beans from green to as dark as you choose. A quick cool down and then it’s time to fill the labelled bags, a heat seal and VOILA! Your own beans! Makes great gifts or a special private stash!

Superb coffee in a hospitable, beautiful location with spectacular views. We went here on a tip from one of Greenwell’s employees who has been brilliant at suggesting alternatives when they’ve been out of their signature Private Reserve. The UCC Estate Reserve is of comparable quality(ie, the highest) and it combines the mild floral notes that are the signature of a classic Kona roast. While visiting we got to meet Makoto Ikeda, one of the judges in the just concluded Kona Coffee Cupping Contest. While we did not roast our own blend(I love the concept) this was definitely a «must return» for me for the quality of the coffee, the informative and relaxed interactions with the staff, and the spectacular setting.

Come here people for a great lesson in coffee and roasting! I’m familiar with UCC growing up in an Asian community but I was surprised how 80% of their visitors are from Japan. Thought more people would know about them. There was even a UCC café near my house in the L.A. area before it changed owners. We went up to their clean store front. It’s a two-room location with a few acres of coffee taking up most of the land. Look for the UCC sign when you’re driving along. Can’t miss it. We went in and asked for a tour. We turn to one side of the first room and there were free samples of coffee(hot and iced). You can sip them in little UCC cups. So adorable! We signed up for the custom roasting package for ½ lb of coffee with your picture and label on it. We got a lesson in coffee on their fields. We went inside to start roasting our ½ lb of beans. We even took a picture outside to show the label to our family and friends. They were really informative and to top the visit, we got to try their coffee ice cream for free. Ahh where can I buy this? I don’t think you can get it anywhere but their location. Sooo good! Not too heavy but definitely has the coffee taste in the ice cream. June was our guide and she was great! Check out the view when you’re there. My hubby didn’t want to leave, the view was so great! Good feng shui too, if you’re into that.

Took my family here on our most recent trip. Definitely was one of the better coffee farms we visited. The coffee tasting is served on REAL china cups, and you can even get a sample of their iced coffee. Delish Its a small tasting room but very friendly staff. The kona coffee ice cream is outrageously good. You can purchase or if u come across their ad in one of the guidebooks, its free. Yum. Bathrooms are also super clean.

More known in Japan, UCC is aligned on the coffee belt ready to give you a neat tour. We got caffeinated up and jittered our way around the grounds(terrain that is). The guide explained the process of harvesting the cherries to roasting the beans. Both my partner and I roasted our our blends with nifty labels for family back home. The guy could’ve talked all day long and he gave us the dirt on «Charbucks» and the like.

Since Kona coffee is such a big deal, the SO and I decided to take a tour to UCC and participate in their Roastmaster Tours where we got to roast our own special batch of Kona coffee. Veronica showed us the coffee beans before we got to roasting and then she demonstrated the technique which was essentially kept the beans turning in the heated canisters(can’t think of a better word for them). Then we would stick the wooden spoon in periodically to check on the color and then once done, we poured the beans out into a cooling rack so the beans could cool off before they were bagged. Fun experience & for the price you get two bags with your signature roast as well as your own personalized photo label.
