This is a awesome little taco shop off of highway 74… I ordered their mini carne asada tacos and they were only about $ 1.00 each, came with mini corn tortia, carne asada, silced onion, and salsa verde. They are only about a couple inches big so you are better off buying like 25 of them and bringing it home for dinner. A+ would recommend!

I love hole in the wall places! Especially if its good food at reasonable prices! I don’t know what people meant by no flavor. I’m from san diego and have even been down across the border and had amazing mexican food so all I can say is this place is pretty good and legit. The tamales are flavorful, the masa is moist as well as the meat to masa ratio is on point. My son had an Asada(beef) taco with just cheese, to me that’s as plain as you can get when it comes to a taco, but I tried the meat and wow, I was surprised with the flavor, you can taste the grilled onions infused with the meat, it was far from bland. If I’m ever in the area I’ll definitely come back. The reason I dropped a star is that it was cash only and their atm is out of order, but the sign stating so seemed like it’s been there for a while now.

Yum, yum! We stopped in for some carne asada tacos and they were quite delicious. Red salsa was nice and spicy just like we like it. Will most defiantly come back to try more menu items.

I went there expecting more. I tried their tamales which were ok in flavor but they were dry. A 4 in a scale to 1 – 10. I know businesses have problems but keep it professional not to were the customer can see and hear whats happening. Makes it feel uncomfortable. ;;;

I believe the restaurant is under new management. The food is vey authentic and quite tasty. As with any good Mexican restaurant the salsas make or break the food and I must say the salsas are good as we’ll. The hand-made tortillas were my favorite! Will come back shortly.

I don’t know what I was expecting from this place, but they sure didn’t even come close to it. I ordered a carne asada burrito– meat, beans, rice, cheese, nothing else. Cost me $ 7.50 or so, and while the size of the burrito was nice that was about the only good thing. The whole thing was remarkably bland and tasteless… except for the absurd amount of sauteed onions they put in my burrito, which I’m pretty sure I didn’t ask for.(Mind you, I love grilled/sauteed onions, but they do NOT work in a burrito.) There was also a LOT of beef gristle… I picked about 10 or so pieces out of my mouth before I got even halfway through my burrito. Ended up throwing out the other half since it was just that bad. Between this place and the other restaurants on this stretch of the 74 I’m pretty much convinced by now that there is nowhere in Homeland /Romoland worth getting food from, except for the AM/PMs.

A hole-in-the-wall taco shop, connected to a $ 7.00 beauty shop. «There’s gotta be a bunch of real beauties coming out of that place» Awesome does that taco come with hair, if so I’ll pass. There’s one thing that just gets me, I’m in the United States of America, Californy is the place I’ll outta be land of palm trees and movies stars, that was the 1960, now it’s 2012, now it’s home of the can’t speak English, so I’m going to open up a business . The only reason why I’m saying this, it took about 5 minutes to order 2 tacos and a soda, no shit. No one could understand a word I was saying. 2 finger up the other hand pointing at the paper menu on the counter on the tacos, 1 Asada, 1 Pastor, no no no not 2 Asadas 1 and 1 Pastor. Si 2 Pastors, someone walk in and shoot me now. Finial the owner came and could speak and understand English, 1 Asada and 1 Pastor Tacos and a 7up, you’ll get sprite just deal with it. If your going to open up a fast food taco shop, have your clerks learn a little English, most likely where the ones that will keep your doors open. The place was pretty clean inside which is a plus, but then most taco shops are clean, kitchen, eating area, patio area, just don’t go into most of the bathrooms it’s a whole other story. Keep this in mind. Order first, pay, then go to the bathroom, it’s your food no-matter what. Don’t ever go into one after eating, or you just mite leave your meal in the toilet. True, oh so true. The Tacos. Carne Asada Taco, the meat looks great, it was cooked nice and tender, but it was a little flavorless with onion, cilantro and tomatoes with some lime. 3.5 Al Pastor Taco. Same as above, the meat looked and had a good smell to it, but again also flavorless with no tomatoes. 3.5 The corn tortillas where some of the best I’ve had, freshly cooked, hot not doughy. 5 There was a small salsa bar, small only 3 items. Red Salsa, Green Salsa and Limes. I think the major problem with the tacos, they need a house salsa for the taco, one that is on every taco, a not to mild red sauce, would maybe do the trick. 2 Tacos and Soda $ 5.30 I’ll try this place again.
