Homestead Cigars and Hookah

hate to give this place 2 stars but i think its deserved.
have you ever gone out to eat and you’re anticipating a certain taste and aroma from your food… then somebody sits next to you with way too much perfume? sucks doesn’t it? this applies to cigar smokers as well.
cigar smokers can taste and smell nuances in tobacco that the average person doesn’t. cigar smokers have a palette for this. just like with folks that appreciate the aroma and taste of their food, a cigar smoker’s palette gets derailed by strong perfumes and cigarette smell. it can make a good cigar downright awful.
i walked into this place hoping that i could buy some cigars, hang out and enjoy a cigar, and get some work done on the laptop. the girl behind the counter was a new face i hadn’t seen since i last popped my head in here out of curiosity. she was somewhat attentive but the main issue was her perfume. it was way too much and seemed to be mixed with the smell of cigarettes. if you’re not a cigar smoker, you have no clue how unappealing this is even to a smoker. i braved it out as i REALLY wanted to enjoy a smoke and get some work done but every time she got up to do something it was the Dadeland mall Burdines perfume aisle relived.
this kinda sucks. homestead has NO other cigar shops. i popped in today and spoke to the owner about it. he seemed uninterested in what i had to say. having been a regular customer of Mesa Cigars and Cuban Crafters, both in Miami. this is not something other cigar shops would take lightly. cigars are like sponges that absorb perfumes and other scents.
i’m done with this place. homestead needs a real cigar shop. places trying to sell vape, hookah stuff AND cigars just dont get it. eye candy is nice but a cigar shop, like a barbershop has a certain comraderie that makes customers want to stay. this place hasn’t figured that out.
