I love that this Publix seems to have stopped selling live lobster. If so, it’s my favorite grocery store. I will spread the word about how wonderful it is. I pray the other Publix stores will follow its example. Thank you Publix in Towne Square in Homestead #510 for being humane!

not amused with new deli system. if i want a free for all deli i go to sedanos. the whole deli should use a take-a-number system, that includes the hot bar and sandwich stand.

I’m a big fan of Publix, but not this one. I was in the area and came in for a sub. Completely lost my appetite after the guy making it cut my chicken right on the deli counter, rather than putting it on a clean piece of deli paper(like they’re supposed to do). I heard him tell a coworker that his shift ended and he should have been gone. His hurry to leave was pretty obvious. He sloppily put together the sub and let half the ingredients fall out as he did(I saw the same caliber of work in the sub he made before mine which should have been a warning sign, I know, but I was starving). As I inspected the sub station closer, I noticed serious grime on the knives he was using and I’m not entirely sure that his gloves were in the best shape. As he passed me the sub, I could smell a mix of assorted deli meat and condiments emitting from the packaging. Needless to say, I decided not to eat it. The only upside of the visit was that my cashier was friendly. Publix is usually a great place to shop at, it’s clean and the workers are attentive and friendly. But the experience at this deli counter disgusted me so much, I’m sure I’ll never walk into this particular store again.

This publix is getting worse and worse. I spend close to $ 1000 a month on groceries and it’s no longer going to be spent here. I tried to get a boars head specialty sub advertised on a giant poster and the lady had no clue what I wanted. I asked 6 times while pointing at the poster. She kept saying we don’t have that stuff. What do you want on it? Ok I want what it comes with no changes please. Then she asks«what does it come with?» While scratching her head, literally, and looking at the picture. Yuck. I just walked away… Shameful. I remember when boars head was in the store promoting, they would be ashamed.

This Publix is set up the way it should be with the Deli and the Bakery next to each other. Plus the staff in both are always happy to help. Betty at the APRONS kiosk is amazing she’s there Tuesday — Friday she is usually the main reason I go in the afternoons. Plus she let’s you know what great and what’s OK. The Meat department is extensive but the produce is lacking There ice cream section is on point sure good variety . The bear thing about this store is the wide isles and its always very super organized

I had to give this Publix a 3 star! I usually come here during lunch to pick up a wrap. In Homestead area not many healthy choices. Well, really not many choices at all. So many times I find myself just getting a wrap at the deli. The wraps of course are always really good. No complains at all about the food! The food is always great! They even have a little section if you want to sit and eat. Love their Mac & Cheese it’s the best. The hot food always has several options as well. They also have nice variaty of Sushi always out. Now here comes the bad part; the cashiers. I’ve NEVER been in a publix where the cashiers are ALWAYS rude! I mean to tell you I say good afternoon, have a great day & I never get a response!!! Which really turns me off! Hope that they can get their cashiers to at least smile a bit.
