The Hometown Tap

This place is great. Mostly locals here but they treat u good. Prices are the lowest around. They will put on any game as long as the Blackhawks are not on. Blackhawks supersede any other game. Stephanie the bartender is quick to back you up when your ready. You will get kicked out if your causing problems at this place. As with all other places.

I only say 3 stars because of the first bartender. This one seems unhappy to be at work and only talking to the regulars. It’s a roll of the dice if it’s a good bar or not.

I dont even want to give this bar one star. The owner called me a prick for no reason. The bartender treated me like shit the whole time for no reason after I tipped her well. It took like 3 minutes to get a drink. Dont even ask for a vegas bomb or for them to turn on the sox game cause they will spit in your face! Just stay away from this shit hole.

Pretty sure this is Hometown’s only bar. My friend’s friend was playing a show here and asked me to tag along. It’s in a strip mall next to Women’s Workout World and La Playita, so the upside is that there’s plenty of parking here. There’s not much to the inside. It’s pretty simple. Bar on one side, tables at the other, and a bigger area adjacent where the bands play and where bingo takes place. The bingo is a big draw, as it was very busy when we came by.
Drinks are cheap and I guess they serve some food because I saw someone coming out of the back area with a pizza. The stage for the band is definitely small. Only the drummer and the amps fit up there so the singers/​guitarists were right in front, and we were right on top of them. I will say that the staff is really nice and polite. Bartender was welcoming and when my friends and I were looking for a table to put our stuff on, one of the staff brought a table out for us, which we really appreciated. There are plenty of bars in the OL area, but if you find yourself in Hometown, it’s not a bad place to go for a drink.

Awful Place. Nothing like seeing a guy sitting at the Bar eating food out of a can.

Fun place to go to watch any Sporting event. They have seven big ass flatscreen TVs. Play a few games of pool, on Sundays they threw out a nice spread of food at 2 o’clock and play bags on a nice day, just a fun place to go to. I have met some really nice people there.
