I scheduled off work to have LASIK surgery. I had been to the office since December. I was told by Dr. Choi, that I was an excellent candidate. However, I paid to have the $ 200 evaluation done. The billing person messed up my promotional deal on my care credit account. This was a major headache, but I tried to overlook. However, on the day of my scheduled surgery, he came in, barely spoke, then told me take the Valium that I had to purchase from the pharmacy. He later returned saying that my testing different greatly than the one I took on 5÷5÷2015. He indicated that I had a spot on one eye. Then I asked to show me the pictures of before and after results. He refused to, but only showed me the pictures of today’s testing. Then he stated that I had spots on both eyes. I asked him what were the spots, he could not tell me. He is supposed to have state of the art equipment in Alabama, but you were not able to detect this problem prior to me coming in thinking that I was going to have surgery. I asked to be refunded my money for the surgery as well as my $ 200 for the evaluation. He only wanted to give me $ 170 of my evaluation back. He wants to charge me a copay for the visit. Keep in mind his state of the art equipment failed to provide me with an accurate exam from the beginning. He also wanted me to return back in two weeks! I was feeling rushed, as if he didn’t want to service me and he didn’t explain what he so called found at the last minute. Really, and you couldn’t give me an accurate diagnosis of what’s going on! This was the worst medical eye experience ever!!!
