The amount of time it takes to checkout at this store is ridulous. Absolutely unacceptable. Every time I go into this store there is a short line with minimal items being scanned. Somehow… it always takes at least 10 minutes to get through a line of 3 people. Last night I waited in the main line for 10 minutes and it didn’t move there were 2 people ahead of me that had maybe 3 – 5 items each. I went over to photo area to check out since only one person was in line there. That line took another 10 minutes before I put my stuff on a nearby rack and left. This is my experience every single time I come to this store. Please just get some real staff in here that can ring up a customer. Or get a self checkout machine, which would be 8x faster.

There are two sides to this Walgreen’s. On one hand you have the pharmacy, which has consistently friendly and capable staff. I’ve been using this location as the primary way to get my medications, both prescription and non-prescription, for a few years without any trouble at all. The other part of this Walgreen’s is the front end, which is sadly lacking in all of the areas in which the pharmacy succeeds. The employees are almost universally rude and unpleasant, without so much as a word of greeting or any politeness whatsoever. They are also painfully slow, and clearly not as knowledgable about their jobs as they need to be. Employees I’ve seen there for years still act like they’re on their first day. My recommendation would be to stick to the pharmacy and do any other shopping you need to elsewhere. I love the pharmacy staff, but the other employees are so bad that it’s best just to avoid it if at all possible.
