Hula Moon Boutique & Consignment

Not a consignment shop or vintage even.
This store is mislabeled as some affordable place with lots of used items. I was looking so forward to coming here and checking out what others are talking about. The hype and the excellent reviews got me fooled.
I called to see if they take my used clothing and they said right away they are not a consignment shop.
Only one person works there. I looked around the place and found that the cheapest item was $ 75. What kinda bargain are other reviewers talking about? Perhaps a previous business that used to occupy this place? Nothing looks amazingly fashionable here. No surprise it’s honokaa, you’re in the middle of nowhere, if it’s not vintage it’s not going to be Versace.
I don’t expect to spend much money. Sorry but this place is not what the reviews says it is. Come and check out for yourself.

I love shopping at small businesses whenever I travel and this is a great boutique. Wonderful selection of clothing and accessories. I bought a beautiful cowl neck shirt and the most comfortable skinny jeans ever.
The owner and staff are really welcoming and very helpful — they just make it fun to shop here. I was hoping to hit is once more during my visit to the Big Island but didn’t make it back. It will be on my list of stops next year.

This is a wonderful store to visit. The owner knows body types and is delightful in providing suggestions for dressing your body. Beautiful clothing, fantastic colors and funky jewelry pieces. Every two years we visit the island and Hula Moon is a special treat. Shopping is a real joy at this store, I wish we could replicate the store and the owner in Fort Collins. I would shop more often! Ladies, make time to treat yourself well and visit this shop! You never know what you will find!
When I wear the outfits from this store, I smile. It reminds me of the aloha spirit and the care and attention lavished during my trip to this delightful shop. Thank you ladies for a wonderful shopping experience!

I absolutely adore Hula Moon and the hip owner. She has a great sense of style and there are all sorts of treasures in her store. It was a treat to find this shop. I got some fun items of clothing and accessories. If you are passing Honoka’a, it’s definitely worth the stop.

This is a great little boutique and consignment shop for hip outfits that won’t break the bank. Even if you only have a few minutes, it’s worth it to stop in and look around.
I couldn’t believe my luck when I found a like-​new black Banana Republic dress perfect for work, two pairs of shoes (one red from Anne Taylor and the other, a black pair of sandals), a flowing red, sleeveless dress with subtle embroidery perfect for Hawaii, a pair of 7 for All Mankind jeans, a pair of cream linen pants, and two tops.
I usually hate shopping, but the owner, Kathy, really has an eye for fashion and helps you find clothing that complements your body and your personal style. As I write this, I’m wearing one of the outfits that she picked out for me.
We came across Hula Moon on the way to Waimea Valley and Volcano on the Big Island’s east coast. Since Honoka’a is on the northern end of the island, you’ll drive through if you’re coming from the west coast to the east, or vice versa. If you do, I highly recommend stopping here for a bite to eat and to look around the shops on Mamane Street. For example, right down the street from Hula Moon is a well-​stocked bookstore with a good selection of Hawaiiana.
