We were there yesterday afternoon. The sales girl was not helpful and friendly at all, although she was very, very friendly and extremely helpful to the Japanese tourist who came in 30 seconds after me… Actually she didn’t even acknowledge my family when we walked in, and was cold and unwelcoming. I came to this store due to the fact I thought the store personnel would help me to pick out the perfect suit to fit my style and desires. I live locally, so I was hoping to find a go-to swimsuit shop, but due to how unfriendly the shop girl was, I doubt I’ll be back. Many of the tops were too small on top and too large on the bottom, maybe due to the fact I am a 36C. I had hoped to have some help finding a suit that would work for me. I did eventually buy one that was«ok», and was over $ 150, but left feeling disappointed overall.

Allure Swimwear was one of the retail stores which I drew for the Royal Hawaiian Fashionistas and Foodies event. It wasn’t too hard to find and I must admit-I have probably walked past it a few times without really looking at the merchandise. The store has a wide range of swimsuits and bikinis. Upon speaking to the friendly sales woman on the floor, I was amazed to find out that the prices range from $ 30(reasonable) to $ 500(whaaaaaaa?). In some instances, they are the sole distributor in the US. I asked to see what a $ 500 swimsuit looked like and was a bit blown away because it looked pretty standard to me. The thing is though that the piece was made in Italy, by a designer which I’m too ignorant to recognize-Aubade anyone? Also, some of the pieces are handmade and have Swarovski Crystals sown into them. Don’t let the high fashion pieces keep you from walking into this store because there are affordable bathing suits to be found here as well. My favorite show piece was a simple sun dress on the mannequin. If it were more work appropriate I would’ve been really tempted to purchase it: p
