I think the address listed is wrong, this place is at about 1700 Ala Moana, catty corner from Hilton Hawaiian Village. It is next to subway and just west of buffalo wild wings. Also, the main picture implies there is seating in the business, there is not. There are a few tables outside of the shop, see picture 6 of 16 for a better idea of what the place actually looks like. Now that we have that figured out, let me talk about the actual food. Its good sushi. Not amazing, but good. The reason for the five stars is the very, very low prices, the nice staff, and the promptness of the preparation. This is the perfect option if you have been out all day and want to eat lunch or dinner on your hotel balcony or kitchen. Me and my wife both ate a good sized dinner and it only cost $ 17. I had lunch the next day for $ 7.65. You absolutely can’t beat the value at this place.

Me and my Family were here 2 weeks ago coming from a vacation and was actually renting a unit up in the 12th floor in this building(The Discovery). This place is legit and to be honest, i have never been to a real sushi bar in Japan but i would not be surprised if it looks like this place. The Place was great, neat and everything is cheap. You can get a Spam Musubi freshly made for a measly $ 1.75 + tax & comes w/a packet of soy sauce… Delicious!!! Where in California can you ever get a 28 pieces of different kinds of Freshly hand made sushi(Eel, Tuna, Crab) all for a measly $ 25.00?! Good Luck!!! They also have Miso, Udon and freshly made Yakisoba Noodles. If you ever gonna drop by the Island of Oahu in Hawaii for a vacation, Be Sure on not to pass this place. If you’re going to Waikiki Beach via Ala Moana Blvd, stop by and have some freshly made sushi… You won’t regret going to this place!!!

Sushi itself is expensive. But some of the items here are relatively cheap. I tried this place because of a Groupon and was pleasantly surprised. I really liked their Portuguese sausage and egg hand roll. I plan to try and make it one day for breakfast at home. Was a little awkward because if you choose to eat there they bring the food to you and on plates. I wasn’t sure if I tip, or what to do with my plates after… take them back to the cash register? Leave them?

I LOVEALOHASUSHI! It’s a great take out place and the food are very delicious here! I was at Enterprise Rental– renting a car for my short vacation and happened to bump into this place! I ordered quite a few hand rolls and it was perfect for the streets! I came back a few times after that and service was quick and as great! Sushi is also fresh! I love the Spicy Tuna, Poke, Spam and Tuna Hand rolls! Really delicious and the Poke style nigiri’ mmmmm… The place is small, but very clean! They have picture menu as well and they have Poke there too and it was delicious! Next visit, I’ll sure stop by here again! Love it!!!

Just to clear some of the other reviews up… This location is NOT next to buffalo wild wings, NOT next to a Subway nor is it in a strip mall. Located in the(old name) Gold Bond building on 677 Ala Moana Blvd., Aloha sushi is a nice and clean shop with not to many foot traffic and lots of seating. Like the other review mentioned, this place is brightly lit. I’ve been in training in this building for the last two weeks and many other trainings in the past and this place is RARELY ever busy. If the locals are walking across the street to other food places for lunch that tells you something. The only picture thats accurate is from Unilocaler Goro and its a picture of the shop. The menu here is bare minimum, you have your handrolls and a few maki plates and party platters but thats about it. They have a udon or saimin bowl, unagi or poke bowl and that pretty much sums it up. Today I ordered the spicy ahi nigiri. 3 pieces for about $ 3.50 The presentation of the food was not appealing. After further examination, the ahi didn’t taste good and its made with a spicy sauce that Im not familiar with. The nori was falling off, one of the nigiri pieces had hard rice and everything was just ugh! I would not come back here and really, my first sign was«where are all these workers walking to? There’s food here on the ground floor, why would you want to walk in the hot sun to get food.» anyways. «Meh, I’ve experienced better». *CASHONLY* Unilocal 365 Challenge # 17⁄365.

Reasonably good street food style sushi at a reasonable price. They also offer a variety of bento, both Korean and Japanese. Convenient for takeout if you work in the area(there isn’t too much to eat around here!) — or you can eat in, as the dining area is well-lit and kept very clean and cool. The people who work here are not chatty, but they are very pleasant.

The food here was really good for being in a tiny strip mall off the main street! There’s no tables inside, they’re all outside but in a hallway of the mall so it’s still covered. I ordered the udon and a tamago hand roll cause it was only $ 1.49! Cheap! The udon was very good and so was the tamago. My family enjoyed their pickings too.

Just walking by and saw this place. Looked at the reviews on Unilocal and I had to give it a try. The place is very small located next door to Subway. No seating inside the restaurant, but there are a few tables in front of Subway you can use. The price is very inexpensive. The hand rolls were pretty fresh. You can call and order in advance for pickup. This place was great for a quick bite instead of going to McDonald’s.

Love this place! We were on vacation and staying across the street at the Ilikai. What to eat when you’ve been at the beach all day and craving something local and delicious? The valet guys pointed us in that direction so we figured why not. I was disappointed because I thought it was a real restaurant but ended up being more like takeout. We were starving so decided to try it. I was not disappointed. I’m craving for it now! Try the spicy poke with rice! It is so cheap and yet so yummy. The fish is really fresh and delicious. I also tried the spam musubi and that was very good as well. It’s not a fancy sit down restaurant but when you’re trying save money and still enjoy good poke this is the place to go.

I LOVETHISPLACE! CHEAPGOODSUSHI?! WHATMORECANYOUASKFOR?! This Aloha Sushi is right next to Buffalo Wild Wings where i work so i love coming here when ever i get a break and just buy a roll to eat. It’s awesome how they don’t cut the rolls up and you can just hold onto it and bite. NO mess of eating + Quick and easy! YUMM! I thought it was strange though how you have to pay extra for Wasabi and the Pink Ginger they usually put on the side. I haven’t eaten at enough sushi places in Hawaii to know if that’s normal but on the mainland(Virgina) they always provide it for us FREE. I’m not complaining though cause i still LOVE this placee yayy! OH, and i recommend the philly roll, soo DELICIOUS! :)

This place is cheap and decent. Nothing to really rave about but definitely not bad at all. What can you expect from cheap sushi but the cuts were decent and the freshness was decent as well. Its a great place if you are on the run and need somewhere cheap to eat.

Located on the ground floor, facing Ala Moana Blvd, this Aloha Sushi features reasonably priced and good selection of tasty sushi and small selection of bento & side orders with fast, friendly service. Drinks are available in medium or large fountain style or you can choose from a wide selection of canned and bottled beverages. Eat in at one of the many tables in a clean, air conditioned area or take out back to your office.
