Food was good. Service was shaky. They took forever to refill waters even after they just brought out some very salty chips. Also, they mistakenly brought out another tables plate to our table and about three minutes later, came back and took it away to bring to the right table. If I saw that was my food, can you say lawsuit?! What I don’t understand is that we ended up ordering what they brought to our table, so why not just leave with us and there for not have any issues?

The bar at the private sunset room has to be one of the best places to sit back and enjoy the island. Im going to have to make this a new happy hour spot! The private sunset bar is located in the new modern hotel, up stairs of the sunrise bar. Open to the public, although the pools are for hotel guests only. The bar itself is pretty well maintained, although it is lacking in several mixers. Don’t come here if your looking for maitai’s with a nice little umbrella. The bar mainly sticks to the hard spirited beverages with a few of the more common mixers like orange juice and sodas. Now, what really makes the sunset bar the ideal after work happy hour spot is the atmosphere. This place screams, PEACEFULOASIS! There are beach chairs, a hammock, and a small pool centered in the middle ! The architectures of the bar, brought Waikiki into the hotel with a bed of white silky sand carpeting the entire ground. If that wasn’t enough to make you feel at ease, there are beds lining the outside of the bar. The bar is also very secure, as there are security personnel constantly roaming the premiss. I had first sight of this bar during the evening time for their end of the month red hot venue. It was on a Friday so i was able to get a great view of the fireworks display. If we would have got their a little earlier, i may have been able to catch the sunset… at private sunset beach… which would have made it the perfect setting to the end of the work week!

This bar or place itself is what is needed at all hotels. Its a Private area only for hotel guests and adults only. The pool is knee high deep if anything in the center at most. Perfect for lounging and relaxing alone or with the special person. Drink and food prices are your average Waikiki or tourist prices. You over look the main pool as well as the boat harbor. Now if you are looking to just relax while staying here, this would be the pool to do so. The pool is surrounded with sand and has a few tables and chairs as well as a few stools around the bar itself. A hammock tucked away in the corner as well as a few greenery top everything off for a private oasis setting.

Very nice. It’s good to have a few higher end, accessible bars next to the Ilikai. This is just 1 of 5 bars on this property. I like it.

This bar at the Waikiki Edition Hotel is advertised as a private bar meaning only available for guest staying at the hotel. Since the hotel is new it is letting all patrons full access to the bar and pool area. The pool is actually not designed for swimming. It is only deep enough to go past your feet. The Sunset Beach has a spectacular location with great views of the Ala Wai Harbor and the Pacific Ocean just beyond. Here you will find tall palms and other vegetation. A makeshift beach envelopes the pool/lagoon with lounge chairs set in the water. Perfect for lounging. Just like the other bars at the hotel, it offers great cocktails that are hand made with care and the best ingredients. I had their signature Margarita. This was done expertly using top quality tequila and only the freshest ingredients. No Sweet and Sour or other cheap pre-made mixers were used. They make their own mixers from scratch.
