Amazing Food, atmosphere, service, & beach views. I was Unilocaling to find a unique lunch place. I stumbled across this place by the food pictures and menu. I wanted a ocean view and you get that here. I was alone and the server was amazing. Server company was really nice.

We came here at 5:30pm on our first day of our trip in Waikiki beach for HH. We ordered the crispy chicken, fish taco, and 2 mai tai. The mai tai was sweet and strong for $ 6 each. The crispy chicken and the fish taco were both delicious. The portions are small for food since they are only appetizers or snacks during the happy hour. You can always order more food but it will add up the cost pretty quickly. The view was great after we moved to a higher counter seating area facing the ocean. Great spot looking over the ocean and also great for picture taking. The environment was relaxing and entertaining. They had Polynesian shows on the ground floor that you can watch from higher up. They also have dj/musicians playing different cultures of music from Japanese to Indian and back to Hawaiian. Overall, it was a fun and enjoyable experience here. I will return if I have time during our stay in Waikiki beach or next time when I visit Waikiki beach again.

There’s nothing better than having refreshing drinks, delicious food, great live music and the perfect patio spot to relax. We visited Swim twice during our stay at the Hyatt. I enjoyed their cocktails and the complimentary champagne bottle that was given to us by the hotel. For a snack we ordered the Buffalo Chicken Wings which were fantastic! The Buffalo sauce had a mouthwatering tangy flavour with a bit of heat, and the chicken wings were huge and very juicy. They were so good that we had to order another one even though we had dinner plans right after! We really enjoyed our experience at Swim and would recommend guests staying at the hotel to visit the bar to have a great time.

Hit SWIM up for breakfast after staying at the Hyatt and even for a hotel restaurant this place was pretty subpar, it’s basically $ 31 for a continental breakfast buffet you can get at a Holiday Inn. The only thing worth a damn was the omelet which, while decent when covered in salsa(i.e. all you can taste), isn’t $ 31 good; Bloody Mary was basically a measured shot of vodka with tomato juice. To finish it all off got an Irish Coffee and not even joking, was $ 20 just for that(when I got the bill). I inquired if that was a mistake and they said nope. Service was pretty poor also. Will not repeat.

Good drinks — not so good food. We checked out Swim Lounge for an after work cocktail hour planned later this month. We may need to select another location due to our food experience. The disappointment came when the food came out, we ordered fish tacos, the guacamole was NOT good. It had a «expired taste» as if it had not been refrigerated. The fish meat was over cooked making it hard to chew. I would go back for cocktails but skip tacos. Never again! Being this wasn’t happy hour you expect $ 18 tacos to taste good. WOW. disappointing. The bar staff makes me want to give this place another try. I suggest bringing guacamole out chilled and don’t serve your guests bad batches. Thank you to my great bar staff, i enjoyed my lava float. I didn’t ask for my tacos to be comped, I will just avoid that item all together. Sorry I had to give this 2 stars, the food ruined this experience.

Had my family in Waikiki and needed a place for lunch. Just something decent to fuel the sightseeing. Shoulda woulda coulda steered clear of this trap. Nice little location next to the hotel pool but poor service and horrible food. Tuna stack had guacamole dip instead of avocado… no joke! The boys Mac and cheese came out in black iron mini cauldrons. Cool but the black was flecking off into the food. Of course our waitress couldn’t/didn’t want to see it. A waste of time and money

This place is super chill! Came here a few times during our stay at the Hyatt, but only ordered food on the last day. We took it to-go to eat in our room since it was PACKED. Ordered: Kalbi Beef & Kim Chi Quesadilla(cucumber namasu + crushed avocado + crème fraiche) — I didn’t try this, but the boo REALLY enjoyed it. It looked and smelled ridiculously delicious so I believe him. Tortilla Chip Nachos(homemade cheese sauce, cumin jalapeño’s, salsa, sour cream, guacamole) — omg the cheese on this tasted SOOO good! It was really fresh and didn’t taste like the cheap nacho cheese they use at most places. It’s semi-hard to find seating in the pool area, so I recommend going early. Otherwise, there’s plenty of tables inside. Everything is reasonably priced, but don’t forget to show your room key so you get 15% off your food purchase: o)

This place was pretty nice for a Monday afternoon. We came here for the happy hour menu and the view. This bar is similar to a rooftop bar. We ordered the original Mai Tai for $ 6 and a Lava Flow for $ 12(not on HH menu). The drinks were pretty good. The original Mai Tai was not as fruity as the ones I had before but pretty strong! So worth the $ 6. The Lava Flow tasted like a smoothie and was kind of sweet. We thought we would see the sunset from here but it was blocked by the building in front of us :(. But the view to the beach was still good! The service was good! We got seated and waited pretty fast. Also have good music here. Overall experience, 4.5 star!

I was staying at the Hyatt regency here in Waikiki beach and I needed something to eat quick(I hadn’t had anything all day except some snacks) my brother and I decided to come here. My brother beat me there so he ordered some fried chicken and fries for me with a Mai tai. This was all on the happy hour menu and since my brother is apart of the medallion club(gold, platinum diamond) happy hour was extended an extra hour for us. The chicken was so delicious and the dipping sauce was the icing on the cake. Also some nachos but those weren’t anything special but cool to munch on with the alcohol consuming. The drinks!!! Where do I begin? We ordered 2 Mai tai 2 strawberry margaritas 1 mango margarita 1 lava flow(my absolute favorite drink) and 1 margarita bartender choice(very good but I couldn’t recognize the flavors but the rim had chili and lime) the food was amazing and the drinks absolutely amazing… if staying at the Hyatt check them out also it’s poolside as well. I almost forgot to tell you they have a guitarist playing music and singing and what a beautiful voice! Plus a guy dressed as a pineapple for the kids to take pictures with

Probably the best simple meal I’ve ever ate! My husband and I flew in from San Diego, CA One night we decided to go out and find a good place to drink/eat. SWIM was the best decision we made!!! The Mai Tai was the best I’ve ever drank. Their burgers taste so fresh and flavorful !!! For dessert I recommend the crème brûlée! It comes in a coconut and adds a delicious flavor!

Not a bad option while lounging pool side. Food was not extraordinary. Just ok. Fruit platter was satisfying. Nachos were on the large side but a disappointment they didn’t use nacho cheese. Burger bun was good but meat patty was dry and lacked flavor. Overall service is very good and staff very friendly.

The bartenders and staff make this place! This is the Hyatt pool bar that overlooks Waikiki beach. They have live music most nights, and a great menu of drinks and American food(burgers, sliders, seafood, finger food). Great bartenders and staff. The happy hour has some great drinks from 4 – 6 daily(hint: have the Mai Tai) and some appetizer specials. This is the Hyatt… drinks can get a bit spendy outside of happy hour but the ambiance and staff are worth it… everyone just seems happy here! See David the bartender… he will take good care of you!

Went here after we watched the Waikiki Beach Hula Show. They encourage you to go to the Hyatt poolside bar and if you mention the show you get 50% off your second specialty drink. We walked in and no one greeted us. We went to the bar, one guy looked at us and then walked off. There was one bartender at least three other staff milling around that didn’t bother to seat us or give us a menu. When the bartender was free he finally acknowledged us and we mentioned the hula show. I asked which drinks are available for the deal. He snapped at us that we must buy one drink first to get the deal then walked off. Ok thanks. Another bartender came to take our order. While we were deciding on what to have the first bartender came back and openly bitched and complained to the guy serving us about the hula show deal. Right in front of us. It was so rude and unwelcoming. The drinks we got were lame. «Specialty drinks»? Mine was mango juice out of a carton, ice and vodka in a blender. Then served in plastic cups. It’s the Hyatt, come on… Is it too hard serve a cocktail in a glass? Thankfully they honoured the half price deal on my husband’s drink because I would have been fuming if we had to pay full price for both. No one approached us to see if we wanted another drink or any food. Was it just us? Staff were taking orders from other guests. Every surface you touched was sticky. We sat facing the beach and we kept getting wafts of sewage smell. It wasn’t from the street, we’re three floors up. There was a live band for the first half of our stay which added to a lovely ambiance, but when they finished it was complete silence. Dumb. So disappointed, we were on our honeymoon and it was our last night in Hawaii. The location is amazing and we were scoping out places to stay on our next visit. The hotel is beautiful. Service AWFUL. Not coming back.

I enjoyed happy hour here especially the Asian style mixed complimentary nuts. It was nice to enjoy a drink while listening to the live Hawaiian style music band. The appetizers did not blow us away but were good enough with a Mai tai. Service was great with very attentive friendly bartenders.

Had to find someplace for a quick bite during a seminar break at the Hyatt. Didn’t want to travel far nor did I want a fast food establishment like McDonald’s which was right around the corner. We had a party of 8 and they seated us quickly. The seating is poolside and most of the selections seemed liked bar food but everyone seemed pleased with their lunch choice. I had the fried chicken appetizer which was the bomb! I swear it tasted just like the infamous ‘tasty chicken’ at Aiea bowl. Since they validate parking for 4 hours free, I think this will be my ‘go to’ place when I have a craving for tasty chix instead of driving out to Aiea. The staff is nice and they even gave us a kamaaina rate without us inquiring. I hear they have a great happy hour too.

Came here as we thought food in Hyatt is generally pretty decent, but SIWM is a major let down. We ordered an edamame hummus, pizza with 5 toppings and Ahi Tuna wraps, and some drinks. Food took a very long time to come out, a couple of tables around us got food before we did, even though we arrived and ordered first. Pizza is made fresh in the restaurant, however, it was very plain and the pizza crust was very hard, tasted like frozen pizza. The Ahi Tuna was actually Tuna Salad wraps, the menu was very misleading when it puts Ahi Tuna which often suggests as seared Ahi Tuna. Service was very average as well, when I asked for chili pepper for my salad, the waiter totally forgot. Hmmmm totally wouldn’t come back again.

My friend’s family was staying at the Waikiki Hyatt so we decided to try SWIM for their Happy Hour. You can find SWIM on the 3rd level by the pool and while we did not try the food, they have a Coconut Crème Brulee on the dessert list that looks irresistible. One of the waitresses seated our party and was very attentive throughout our stay there. She even gave us restaurant recommendations for dinner. Hooray for good customer service. SWIM has pretty good Happy Hour prices for a hotel. They have $ 6 Mai Tai’s but they come in different flavors(in addition to original) and seem to taste the same. My favorite was lilikoi but maybe it was just a different bartender who put in more rum than usual. I would highly recommend the Skinny Colada which is also on the Happy Hour menu. I liked that more much than the Mai Tai. I’m not sure if you have to be a hotel guest to visit SWIM but they ask for a room number to put on the tab so who knows? Regardless, great place to hang out and get drinks with a small group of people if this bar is conveniently nearby.
