It ain’t no Giovanni’s or Romy’s shrimp truck, but at least you have a lot of options. Prices range from $ 10 – 20 and they have a deluxe seafood platter for about $ 65 that comes with lobster, crab legs, shrimp, etc. keep in mind that the menu also includes steaks and you can get combo plates with both seafood and steak. I got the garlic shrimp and seared furikake ahi combo plate. Everything was well cooked and flavorful. the plate also came with corn and potato salad and a slice of sweet pineapple. The plate costed $ 15, which is very reasonable! Overall, I feel like the prices are reasonable and the food was good.

I Heard about this place from a friend, so my bf and I decided to try it. I stood there and waited for the cashier to count her tip money, she didn’t say hi, so I started to order she looked at me then looked back down and continued to count her money. Finally she looked up and just stared at me, I gave her my order and I wasn’t even done with my order, she just rang me up and walked away! Our food sat on the counter for 5 minutes before they called our number. The steak and shrimp plate was $ 15 and it came with 2 scoops of rice, salad, shrimp, steak, buttered corn, and a pineapple with and orchid on top! The steak was nice and tender but had a strong smokey taste, and the shrimp was cooked right and tasted great! All in all, The service here is horrible but the food is pretty good!

NOPINEAPPLE, even told the cashier to tell the cooks NOPINEAPPLE cause I’m allergic and my throat WILL swell! and all over my food what is there? PINEAPPLE! Food portions VERY inconsistent cuts of fish was no joke smaller then HALF the size we got last time. Used to tell people eat here all the time. Now I’ll tell them not to. Waste of money and time. Now my 2 year old is pissed and screaming cause she was already hungry.

This was the best meal I had during my entire time in Honolulu — and it was in a food court at the Ala Moana mall. Go figure. I was absolutely starving and wanted something hearty and healthy. I placed my order with the cashier for a «steak salad», but ended up getting the steak meal instead. I’m so glad I did. The meal came with steak that you wouldn’t expect to come from a food court, cooked perfectly, brown rice, corn, and salad. It was also garnished with a beautiful flower and a piece of pineapple. I was so happy! We ended up coming back to the mall again a couple days later, specifically for this place. Glad I discovered this place but sad because I will probably never have it again in my life, or if I do, it will be a very long time from now. Why oh whyyyyy can’t this place be in Toronto?

Pretty good prices for serving gourmet seafood as a fast food joint located in the Ala Moana Shopping Mall. I decided to go with their new seafood and fries combo. I love that all their plates come with a beautiful hawaiian flower, just makes you smile. But the food was okay. Fried calamari tasted like old frozen squid. Fried fish was okay, nothing special. Fried oyster was good. Fried french fries were thick cut and sucked. Overall, their fried foods are okay. Would probably try their other items that are non-fried. Pretty good portion sizes and pretty good prices for what it is.

Costumer service sucks !!! They are so rude. I ordered a number one garlic shrimp and asked her if the spicy was really spicy and she said«I don’t know» so I just went and took the chance still. It wasn’t that spicy were I couldn’t eat the shrimp. Overall the food was okay but I wouldn’t go back because of the the people working there.

I had the bright idea to walk like two miles to the Big Island Candies store in the Ala Moana Center yesterday and in flip flops. I was pretty hot by the time I got there and super hungry. At first, we thought we were going to go to a sushi restaurant and took a shortcut through the food court but when we saw the food court and all the choices, we decided to stay there. This place really stood out because the other food places were pretty standard in California. And I really love garlic shrimp and that was the first thing I noticed on the menu here. I ordered the garlic shrimp combo and my husband got a two item combo with salmon and calamari steak. I did not try his food so I can only write about the garlic shrimp. I think the price was pretty decent, 15 dollars for 9 pieces of shrimp and sides. The weird thing was that I got two scoops of rice(one with the shrimp and sauce and one on the side sprinkled with furikake). Shouldn’t it have been one scoop of rice and one scoop of Mac salad?! Whatever! It was still pretty good. The sauce with shrimp, rice, and corn was like a party in my mouth. The food was also super fancy, came with a side of salad, a pineapple wedge, and a flower on top! I love how it had the flower. It made it seem like it wasn’t food court food but at a restaurant. Nice touch! It was definitely better than my first meal in Honolulu.

Garlic shrimp plate is okay but not great. 6 or 9 shrimp and the use de-headed standard shrimp. A sanitized food court version on the north shore shrimp trucks.

I work in the mall and the first time they opened we ate there like 2−3x a week(my coworkers and me). We stopped going when they changed their Mahi so I stopped going. I haven’t been there in about 8 months but their Fish and Chips sounded good(what I used to always get). It takes like 20 minutes since its a large piece of fish. But once I ate it, it tasted dirty. Like a bottom feeder fish that didn’t get the poop intestines out all the way. Plus, they gave me ranch instead of tartar sauce. So much for giving them a second chance…

I ate here while on a shopping trip to the Ala Moana mall on a recent trip to Honolulu. I wanted to try this place since the food looked good and I saw flyers for it. This is also a popular place in the food court as it seemed to have the longest line when I went. I ordered a double combo with grilled steak and 6 garlic shrimp. The double combo was $ 15 and it also came with rice, salad, and a flower lol. The wait for the food was a long and the line of people waiting for food just kept getting bigger and bigger. Finally, I received my food and sat down to eat it. The steak was good and very flavorful. I thought the shrimp was okay though. For $ 15, it was a bit pricey for what I received. I felt like I was still hungry after eating everything. The workers seem to know what they are doing and have their system worked out. It was just the food that was slow coming out. Would I try this place again? I would give it another next time I’m at the Ala Moana mall.

If I could give this place NO stars, I would. I was really upset with my service. I was craving for shrimp, and I was in the Ala Moana area. So I thought it would be convenient that I’d go to blue water shrimp since I liked how it tasted the first time I went there. Keep in mind that I’m a very friendly person, it takes a lot for me to get really mad and want to talk so poorly about a place but I have to be truthful. First of all, I didn’t like how one of the employees were very unfriendly. She did not care to smile and sat down on a stool, on the clock! She isn’t even on break and I feel that was just so rude! Even if you work in a fast food/food court, please be professional and if you do not like your job, please do something about it. After getting my plate, I was excited thinking it would be as good as the first time, but come to find out there was a hair in my rice. I took it back and they were nice enough to add more shrimp, but It was so fast how they switched out my food, I don’t think they even went ahead and cooked it again?! I thought that was disgusting but I was so hungry, I ended up eating it. On top of that they only added 3 shrimp… And the corn looked like it wasn’t even filled in as much as it should have been! At this moment, I was very upset. Not only did the service upset me, but my food as well. Going forward, my boyfriend and I drank all of the fruit punch. He went to go back and refill it, that worker that was sitting on her stool, who for some reason kept giving us stink looks… Told my boyfriend that we need to pay 50 cents?! 50 cents and I swear I had hair in my food?! I was REALLY upset. I went back to the cashier and she was able to refill at no cost. I could see in the corner of my eye, that worker who was sitting on her stool just staring at me like«why are you filling her drink?» Omg, I’m so pissed off that I never ever want to come back here again. Please tell that worker who sits down the whole shift that she needs to seriously be more professional!

This whole week I was craving garlic shrimp and steak… A few days ago I went to a blazing steaks location and the salad was soggy, portions were small, steak was tough, and the shrimps garlic sauce was so watery! yuck! Thankfully, I went today to blue water shrimp and picked up a combo steak and garlic shrimp plate. SO Glad I did! I haven’t eaten their food in a few years, but today’s lunch FINALLY out an end to my cravings The steak was perfectly seasoned yet tender, the garlic shrimp was yummy, the shrimp were decent sized, and the plate came with rice(with furikake), corn, salad, sautéed onions(yum!) and a pineapple wedge. The portions and flavor here are definitely worth the approximate $ 15.

I’m always craving for shrimp and just so happen that day we were looking for a place to have dinner in the food court and stumbled upon this place. That shrimp sign got me and I suddenly had the craving for some garlic shrimp. I ordered the 6 pieces spicy garlic shrimp with all toss. It came with a side of corn and a slice of pineapple. They even topped it off with a flower to give it a hawaii touristy look. At least their presentation sticks out giving that island feel even if you’re just in a food court. My boyfriend had order the shrimp and steak combo that came with a choice of potato salad. The prices are quite affordable for its quality of food that we got. The 6 pieces spicy shrimp was about $ 10 and the shrimp steak combo was about $ 15. Seafood and steak are high in the market prices so for food court food, I thought that was pretty decent. The shrimp was huge so it was worth the price. The food was good and tasty. It’s prepared differently that what I would taste at Kahuku Shrimp Trucks but I’ll settle for a plate of this without having to drive all the way on the other side of the island. I still prefer Kahuku shrimp though but great substitute for it while you’re at the mall. The only thing that wasn’t great was the potato salad. It was kind of tasteless and bland. Service was average. The food took about 15 minutes to pick up so it was no fast food type of place. It tasted fresh so it was worth a little of a wait. I wouldn’t mind coming back here after finding out that there’s kamaaina discount for locals. Wish we knew this the first time. Now I’m anxious to go back to try the other items.

Best Bang for yo Buck! Wanted to eat something fresh and healthy at the Ala Moans shopping center and found this joint! Service 3.5÷5 –workers seemed like they had too much to handle, so they were lagging with everyone’s order –I had to wait after ordering to get water cups… Food 4⁄5 –for $ 10 seafood plate(a steal!), I got an entire seared and encrusted tuna with salad and garnished pineapple(so yummy!) –I loved my fish, it was fresh and I liked the idea of using the furikame to encrust the fish! Overall, nice presentation, good portion, and healthy eat while you shop at the mall!

Place is just great, in a 3day stay we went twice as they offer good local dishes like amazing Loco moco, ahi poke and opakapaka Really recommend it as it’s hidden in the Hawaiian village. Expect to pay 15 to 20 a person but so worth it plus the portions are huge Great place

It’s located on the Hilton Hawaiian Village property. As a family we’ve tried the shrimp, mahi mahi, lobster, crab, calamari. On my one week trip– I’ve been here 3 times. We even walked from the Hyatt regency the first time– only to realize there’s the pink line trolley. Seriously– if you can’t make it to he North shore shrimp trunks make it here. Travel tip: take the trolley to get dropped at Hilton Hawaiian Village. It’s within the Hilton property. Shrimp is so good — my favourite. Flavourful decent sized shrimp, rice and potato salad. The gravy/sauce is just soooo good. Drinks: They sell juice for $ 1, or they have free ice water(so glad they do this– it can get HOT outside) They also are happy if your BYOB. It’s an outdoor seating type place.

my bf’s friend owns this restaurant and it’s probably one of the best ones I’ve tasted thus far. Got the steak & shrimp combo, also tried their shrimp scampi. Ugh, their potato salad… TODIEFOR!!! If you’re at the ala moana center and looking for a quick bite to eat, highly suggest this place.

Shrimp is shrimp. I mean have you ever had a bad shrimp? I don’t know about you but I’ve never met a shrimp that I didn’t eat. Even bad shrimp is good shrimp, I would imagine. Just kidding. Well not really. Anyhow, being the seafood lover that I am, and having tried every single shrimp truck on North Shore and practically all of Oahu, I think I’m pretty qualified to say that Blue Water is delicious and remains one of my favorites when looking for shrimp and not wanting to travel to North Shore. The garlic sauce is thick and creamy and flavors the rice perfectly. It’s serving in a container with potato salad, pineapple, corn on the cob, two scoops of rice(one with furikake), and they give you just enough plump juicy shrimps to complete your meal. I love the orchid garnish because it looks so pretty and perfect. Anything with garlic shrimp, rice, pineapple and an orchid is amazing. Minus one star because it’s not Giovanni’s, Macky’s, Romy’s or Kahuku, but it’s a good substitute when you’re in Waikiki and just want to scarf down some shrimp.

I’ve been coming here pretty much every other day lately. At least twice a week. I’m i loooove with furikake ahi. Last night I got salmon and it was delicious. Now I’m exploring the menu and want to try everything. For the amount of food you get the price is very reasonable and since I don’t eat much I save up a lot and have leftovers for my next meal. Most of the places in the mall food court charge same for a tiny portion. Service is a hit or miss, I noticed one girl is never smiling or trying to be nice, but it’s not a big deal for me honestly, I come there just to get food and not interact with workers. And thanks Unilocal I just discovered that they offer kamaaina 50% off for the second plate. Can’t beat this!

I decided to try this place for the first time, a relatively new addition to the Makai Market Food Court at Ala Moana Shopping Center. My lacklustre rating has to do with my lacklustre flavored dish, the macadamia nut encrusted pink snapper(opakapaka) with lemon butter sauce(Asian fusion sauce also an option) with brown rice, tossed greens(or potato/mac), corn. Beautifully presented but the main event was in the dry side, I likened it to receiving a gorgeously wrapped box… of socks! The fillet needed to have more of the lemon butter sauce too. It came garnished with furikake on the rice, a lemon wedge and a nice orchid. Price was 12.99. I think I will give it another try but order something else or have it prepared with the Asian fusion sauce next time. Also be prepared to wait, meals are cooked to order.

They have a selection of fresh fish, seafood and local dishes. Located in Ala Moana food court, there’s lots of different restaurants, but we always go here because the dishes are more healthy, less oily and worth the price than others: seared furikaki ahi — 5 stars — for around $ 12, they give a thick slab of fresh ahi seared with furikaki over it, with a choice of their famous potato salad or tossed greens and pineapple salsa, oh and don’t forget the orchid to pretty up the dish. Mahi with butter answer capers — 4 stars — I think was $ 11 or $ 12, two pieces of Mahi with the selections mentioned above, including their signature orchid. Not as moist as the seared ahi, but just as good. Lots of seating and parking since it’s at the food court. However, service and quality of fish is inconsistent. Only certain cashiers know to follow our special requests, and although they don’t post it, just ask for the kama’aina discount and show your hawaii ID and get half off the second plate. With the discount, it’s way worth the price for the quality of food they serve.

I couldn’t figure out what I wanted at the very busy ala moana food court last week(I already had Yummy’s during our 1st mall visit), so my husband special-ordered(aww) a fish sandwich– green leaf lettuce, tomatoes, and tartar sauce(not on the menu) for less than $ 10, which included fries. It was a good sized piece of mahi-mahi, and it was very tasty– moist, fresh, cooked perfectly, tender, nicely seasoned on a good-sized bun and a generous amount of fries, which I shared. I enjoyed it so much that when we made another trip to the mall, I wanted the same thing, except the line was super long because it was smack-dab in the middle of the lunch rush, so there was that. Of course, if we visit the island again, I will get lunch here again, but I’ll remember to get here early. I try to eat as much fish as possible, whenever we visit the islands. And under $ 10, that’s a steal!

«Anyway, like I was sayin’, shrimp is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, sauté it…» –Bubba Blue The Blue Water Shrimp & Seafood Company is a new addition to the Makai Market Food Court. Its roots come from several sea blue mobile food trucks that locals can usually can spot around town at events, parks, outside shopping malls. This brick-and-mortar spot serves up their«famous» garlic shrimp along with their other seafood specialties and now, features chicken, pork and beef entrées and salads. Their menu is more expansive than their food truck and is served in styrofoam lunch containers with a bit of panache(a purple vanda orchid and wedge of fresh pineapple). There were two very friendly and nice counter help who helped to describe or explain their menu to some of the tourists in line ahead of us. Explanations were needed because there were delicious and enticing food photographs with no prices posted. However, you just needed to grab a paper menu located near the cashier and along the serving counter. In the future, I think they will be posting the prices on the photos. It’ll better represent their menu that they’re highlighting. What grabbed us was their Kama’aina Special… Buy one entrée, get the second one at 50% off. THEFOOD:(Plates include 2 scoops rice(white or brown), Salad(Tossed greens or Potato) & sweet corn) — Garlic shrimp(6 pcs), MILD for $ 10.95. It’s great that they offer different levels of spiciness that range from mild to spicy. The shrimp were sautéed in a butter garlic emulsion which infused through the flesh of the shrimp. The texture of the cooked shrimp was tender, not mushy or even tough. Just perfect! — Seared Furikake ahi cooked medium rare for $ 11.95. I liked the effort they take to advertise the doneness(medium rare) of the ahi. You can also customize the doneness if you so desire. Also, the other FLAVOR option to this preparation is Cajun-style aka blackened. The ahi portion spanned the bottom portion of the styrofoam container and was really crusted with Furikake. It was seared to perfection as you could see the seared ring around the red flesh of the fresh ahi filet. You’ll have to purchase a beverage separately which would probably add a couple dollars more to your meal but for our meal today, we ate well and inexpensively! Our total bill was under $ 20. I don’t know how long they’ll run the Kama’aina special but a long line formed after we ordered. But, for sure, we’ll be back to try their other offerings.

Well. the food here is decent. I really liked it when it was back in Kapahulu and ate there all the time. Seems like the prices have gone up since I last remembered(probably to cover overhead costs). Which leads me to my next point. would I like anything to drink? Sure a cup of water. «That will be $ 1.50 for a small, sorry». Wow, had I known that I would’ve stopped on by longs before coming down to the food court. Why should I pay that much, I might as well get a fruit punch or anything that has carbonation or syrup to justify the cost. Anyways, I had the seared ahi for dinner. It was done well. Not too salty or bland. The rice in one compartment seemed a bit on the soggy side whereas the one under the piece of ahi was really dry and had the consistency of being undercooked(think crunchy rice) but at least it was still freshly steaming. The side salad was good since that would be hard to mess up. The piece of corn on the cob came out just right. The pineapple salsa also went really well as a side condiment. Presentation-wise, it just doesn’t feel the same. Back when I first ate at the kapahulu location I was amazed that they took the time to present and have a restaurant quality complete meal with the decorative orchid strategically placed. This time it felt like maybe at this location they are rushed to meet the demands of the busy dinner crowd. Anyway it may be awhile until I come back here again. Hopefully someone will let me know when there is complimentary water even in a tiny cup available.
