Campbell Stop & Shop Liquor

Stop & Shop is one of the few Mom and Pops stores left in Hawaii and it seems that we all just take them for granted.
I remember patronizing here during my younger years and still do when I’m in need of some snacks or something to drink. Boiled peanuts are really great here and along with good variety of beers. well just say I’m a happy guy! During my last visit I did notice a some UH shirts hanging above the doorway and more goodies on the counter… sweet!
When you’re in the Kapahulu Area and want to make a quick pit stop, check them out.

The Campbell Avenue Stop & Shop (not to be confused with the Stop & Shop on the Waikiki end of Kapahulu Ave.) has been a Kapahulu staple for as long as I can remember. When I was younger, I used to buy to buy candies from here on my way back home from Japanese school, and now that I’m older, it’s a convenient place to quickly pick up a six pack to take to a party. I recommend buying your alcohol from this spot, as opposed to other (more pricey) places in the area like Kama’aina Pantry or the various gas stations.
There is only street parking available — luckily, you can usually get a space either right in front of the shop or right across the street.
There’s nothing fancy about this place (hence the three-​star rating), but it certainly is an important part of the Kapahulu neighborhood.
