Darin played the koto, live, at yesterday’s 59th Cherry Blossom Festival’s Festival Ball. He and the koto were on stage during the kimono, or Eastern Phase of the competition. This is way better than pre-​recorded Japanese music in the background. I’d hire him if I had my own function.

Darin provided the live music for our ceremony. He plays the Koto beautifully and I loved the background music for our wedding. He can play solo or in a duet and his services are very reasonably priced. He is also available to play on other Hawaiian islands for a nominal fee. He was punctual (actually early!) and was easy to communicate with before the big-​day. He let me listen to the songs he would perform before the ceremony to make sure I liked them and I really appreciated that. If you’re looking for something a little different and fun for your ceremony, call Darin!
