You know how they say that diamonds are a girl’s best friend? Well it’s true! I’ve been getting my diamonds here since my ex got my engagement ring here many moons ago. Then my wedding bands, which are channel set diamonds. If you’ve ever seen me wear my engagement ring and wedding band, you’d want to cut off my finger! That’s a lot of diamonds! Good thing I’m divorced now, so no fear of that…
Anyway, why do I like coming here? Besides the fact that it’s a small locally owned shop, Janet (and her sisters) are awesome. I don’t know how many times I’ve come here to either buy or get my jewelry fixed but they are so nice! They remember details, no matter how often or not often you come by.
They are located on the sixth floor of the Pan Am building. (Is it still called that?) Call ahead to see if they are in or not, because they are a small shop. Parking is validated, and you will need to ring the buzzer to be let in. Hello, diamonds! We can’t have anybody just wandering in!
I came in recently not to buy diamonds (boo), but to get a backing for my diamond earring. I can’t use a regular backing because it is a screw type. Yes, if you have diamond earrings, please use a screw type of backing to ensure your diamonds stay in place! They didn’t have a backing that fit perfectly, but they ordered one. I just like the fact that such a small detail, they want to make sure the earring backing fit correctly.
I will return to Diamond Gallery to pick up my earring and when I’m ready to get my next diamond!
