Love your honeydew bubble tea, it’s always fresh and the bubble is cooked just right. Excellent refreshing idea.

Good-tasting and a healthy option drink — they don’t ever have all of the ingredients though

I went in near closing one night because I was staying at the hotel right next to the shop. The worker informed me that there wasn’t any boba left and though I was disappointed, I knew that they were closing up that’s why. When deciding on what to order, a Hawaiian guy walked in to pick up his drink and complained that it wasn’t what he ordered. He wanted to the«green tea» drink and the worker gave him the green tea one, however he claimed it was wrong because it wasn’t «green». I realized that the Hawaiian guy probably wanted the Matcha slush and I mentioned it to the worker but he was unable to make another drink because there wasn’t any boba left. The worker offered to refund his money and he agreed and the worker took tip out of the jar to give it to the Hawaiian guy. I was really amazed at how calm the worker was and how he handled the situation. It was near closing time and I can imagine how annoying it must be to have something like that happen. For my drink, I ordered the milk tea and the worker ended up offering the remaining boba for me. It was less than the normal amount but it was fine. The milk tea at first was a little strong on the tea side but once I got used to it, I enjoyed it. The boba was a bit bland and maybe it’s because it’s the last of the batch but I still finished the whole drink. Although I wouldn’t go out of my way to this shop, just because it’s not that convenient for me, I believe that they deserve 5 stars for customer service! The milk tea boba particularly would be a 4 star.

The Mrs. had a craving for milk tea so we researched the highest rated and closest to where we were and Dragon Tea popped up. The tea shop isn’t too hard to find, it’s somewhat small though… and only has 1 table inside. The employee here was helpful and great. Note that they have a $ 5.00 minimum if you wish to use your credit card. We ordered the green milk tea and I’m not used to milk tea being over $ 4.50ish but I guess when you’re in Hawaii, everything, including milk tea, will be expensive. You can ask them to customize your order regarding sweetness level which is always a nice option. There are tons of great milk tea places in California so I was hoping to get something comparable to that here. The milk tea was just ok in both our opinions. If I was in Hawaii, I’d come back here if I had a craving for milk tea but I think California mlik tea has spoiled us.

If you are addicted to boba and are looking for a spot within waikiki to get your fix on within walking distance, this is the place to go. However, I don’t think the quality of the tea was very good to begin with(which i’ll explain as a burnt black tea flavor). I did not get any added sugar into a regular black tea that i ordered. I’ve also adjusted my rating from a 2 star(which this place is) to a 3 star purely due to the level of service provided — I was offered to taste the drink before it was sealed. I’m making the assumption that adding sugar would mask the taste, but my companion also did not enjoy her drink either. While i tried a little bit of that, it was not pleasant either. In the end, neither of us really finished our drinks, which is a rarity considering the $ 5 dollar price tag on each drink. In the end, if you’re on vacation in Waikiki, skip the boba while on vacation and go out and enjoy the numerous other food and drink options there that may be more native.(japanese influenced) The location looks relatively well kept.

Fast and delicious. Go with the Thai milk tea if your into milk tea beacuase its great. The tapioca balls are very fresh. If its super hot out and you dont want milk get the watermelon green tea and you will not be let down.

Got the Yakult Grapefruit green Tea. It had lots of pulp, which is great, you know it’s the real deal. Would’ve been better with more Yakult, but it was still good. The sweetness level is perfect, not too sweet like most of the Boba teas these days. It is truly Taiwanese style because of the flavor profile and sweetness level. Space is small, but that doesn’t impact the drinks!

Watermelon green tea was delicious. I came back to order it 4 times in two weeks, each time half/less sweet. The tea taste was strong and clean — distinctively green, and the watermelon flavor refreshing. I saw them use real and fresh watermelon chunks which really made me a happy customer. Also having ice crushed versus cubed(similar to Twinkle in LA) makes the drink easier to drink quickly and blends better once the ice melts especially since the heat in Hawaii melts the ice faster. Service was quick and the worker(owner?) spoke Chinese and English. The fruit tea drink of the day was also pretty good but it had some sort of soda taste to it which was an interesting twist. My date liked this, especially since real kiwi was used. He’d recommend a lesser-sweet since the syrup sort of sunk to the bottom where the straw sits instead of blended with the rest of the drink. Don’t forget to get a stamp card and to check in on Unilocal for 10% at this location. This location doesn’t have easy parking like the Market City one, but they do have some small seating areas, they are close to the Waikiki hotels, and I like the fact that they have a hand sanitizer on the counter for customers. Will keep this on my list of tea stops in Honolulu!

Aloha from Boba Land ! Well to be honest this is literally not my cup of tea or whatever this is. Initially coming here to pickup drinks for a friend on my way into town, I was impressed with the service and quality of product and presentation. Now if I need a thirst quencher of the healthier type, I find myself ordering their non sugar fresh-squeezed lemonade with aloe. This hits the spot for me after laying out on the beach or shopping in Waikiki, treat yourself ;). And check in for a discount ! What to consider is the parking situation, due to ongoing(always ongoing) construction in the area, the street is oftern blocked off so parking becomes very risky. The workaround for this is something I am trying to perfect, however you may consider parkingon the Ala Wai and crossing the street, if not take your chances. Although it is a hasle, I always find a reason to come here, the tea is great and the employees are always friendly and happy to help. b.

I’m sorry but Dragon Tea just doesn’t hit the spot like other tea shops on the island. I have tried a few of their drinks and they are either too sweet or not enough flavoring… Just never perfect. The workers are okay. Kinda annoys me that you have to ask for your own stamp card(instead of it being offered to you when you don’t present one). It’s a nice place to stop by if you’re in Waikiki and literally cannot go anywhere else. Otherwise I’d say get your bubble tea fix somewhere else.

Although I did not really like the tea here compared to what I have had in Houston, I have to give this place a high rating since it is the only bubble tea shop within walking distance in Waikiki. The tea here tastes very diluted to me, but maybe that is what real Taiwanese tea tastes like? Apparently if you get black tea the flavor is stronger, but I always stuck with the green tea. This place is kind of hidden also, so any regular tourist would definitely not walk by here. The shop itself is pretty tiny, only a couple of chairs to sit, so I would rather not hang out there. I mean besides, I’m in Hawaii, I’d rather be outside anyway. Pros: — Only bubble tea place in Waikiki Cons: — Diluted tea taste — There’s a step when going into the restaurant, they have signs for it but I still trip when I went in — They don’t have rainbow jelly

Even for a person that works nights in Waikiki 6 days a week, I still thought the location of this café was pretty obscure. Was it worth the find? Very much so. Also better that this place is more convenient for me than Coffee or Tea, which was my to go spot for Taiwanese beverages over the last 10 years. Let’s just say this place is my current crush right now. Within the last week, I’ve been here 4 times, trying something new each visit. And to think, I’m not the type that usually never spends over $ 2 for any type of coffee/beverage, unless it’s suds on tap. The lady who works there(I’m pretty sure she’s the owner, as I’ve seen her direct other staff) wasn’t really friendly at first. In fact, she still isn’t. I just don’t think she’s a people person but her product is really good, so who cares. For starters the tea here is strong. Like it gets you pretty damn wired and a large will cost you from $ 5.08-$ 5.60. They also use fresh tapioca balls in their drinks vs. the synthetic, weird textured kind(i read it has plastic in them) that is ubiquitous with most bubble tea places. So far I’ve tried their black milk tea with: –Pudding which was more a custard. Interesting, tasty but not my favorite. –Pearls which I already mentioned was fresh and had that nice chew –The D T special, which is both pearls AND fruit jelly squares(which is firm and chewy. similar to the kind you find in halo-halo, etc). The jelly in the D T is coffee flavored and mixes well with the other milk tea components. A serving of this will get you full. This is all good until today, when I finally tried their fruit tea. Wow! Totally different ballgame. To me, this is where Dragon Tea shines and is unique from every tea place I’ve been to locally. So I tried the watermelon with litchee(or to us, lychee lol) jelly. They use fresh watermelon juices and bits, which almost had a floral taste to it. Very tasty! Versus the milk tea, the fruit tea is the perfect beverage when your in the mood for something light and refreshing. This especially with the coming summer. Though the irony here is that even if their beverages are great, you still need to consume more(water) afterwards to wash down the sugar and other caffeinated bits of goodness. That or a sign that it’s just a drinkable meal that appropriates a post wash after consumption. 4 Stars Dragon Tea In Waikiki

The reason I’ll give this place a generous 5-star rating is that it is the only legit boba place in the Waikiki area. I feel their green tea is not strong enough, and tastes basically like water. If you’re going to get anything, make sure it’s black tea and not green tea or you won’t have any taste. What to order: –Bubble Milk Tea Pros: –Only legit boba place in the area Cons: –Green tea is not strong enough –Smell on the inside of the store is a bit weird –Watch your step when entering, you may trip

As we were leaving Jinroku, I spotted signage for Dragon Tea! Having heard many rave reviews I definitely wanted to check it out. They share a space with Ahi Bowl and Pot inside the tiny Ruffage Natural Foods store. I recently got my daughter into bubble drinks so we ordered her a strawberry milk bubble drink and I got a black milk tea. I liked that they offered slushes too. While the boba was pretty good, my milk tea was just okay. I didn’t think it was anything exceptional. While I won’t be back, I still plan on checking out the original Dragon Tea location.

Hot day in Waikiki and all I want is some iced milk tea with bubble. Decided to stop by and check this place out. I must say, this place was exactly like my favorite boba shop back in my hometown Las Vegas called Kung Fu Tea… but wasn’t as good. ATMOSPHERE Small place with few chairs. Street parking here makes it hard to stop by any stores around this area. Is it worth circling around the area for 20 mins just to stop by for a bubble tea at this place? Meh. DRINK The reason why I said this place is similar to Kung Fu Tea was because 1. You can adjust your sweetness level: 125%, 100%, 75%, 25% and 0% 2. Freshly brewed oolong, green and black tea 3. Taiwanese taste/teas from Taiwan 4. Drinks made freshly to order/no premades. Instead of shaker machine that Kung Fu Tea uses which aerates the tea, they used blender and blended creamer/sugar/tea for 15 – 20 seconds. Faster and ingredients mixed much better(no creamer residue on the side of cup) but teas were not as flavorful in my opinion Ordered milk green tea and oolong milk tea. Green milk tea had a very strong tea flavor, Green tea was too bitter for my taste. Would be perfect for people who enjoys strong tea flavor. Even at 100% sugar, it was not sweet enough for me. Would get this at 125% sugar. Something I noted was that oolong milk tea at 75% sugar tasted sweeter than my green milk tea at 100%. Yes I understand these are two totally different drinks, perhaps bitterness of the green tea took the sweetness away but I thought oolong would taste much more tea-y/bitter. Fast and ok service combined with milk tea that didn’t stand out=3 stars

Such a convenient tea shop for me here in waikiki and I love to come on my break time from work. They have the best Taiwanese tea. I specially love their watermelon green tea. Of course I always get boba with any drink that I purchase. I also love coming here because they have such kind staff. The only thing I don’t like is that some of the staff don’t make my drink as good as others. It’s inconsistent. Other than that I love coming here. Ask for a stamp card. For every 8 drinks purchased, you can get a free drink of your choice(16oz). Amazing right! As for parking, its street parking and meter. Sometimes I get lucky and I get parking right away and sometimes I have to find a farther place to park which sucks.

A visit to Dragon Tea requires a team effort! In the heart of Waikiki, there’s very sparse street parking which is currently coned off because of construction. So why would you go through the ordeal of illegally parking or circling around the block whilst your buddy stops, drops and rolls just to get a drink? I will tell you: Green tea slush with grapes and lychee jelly. I already know what you’re thinking, «that sounds gross.» And do you know how I know?! Because I thought the exact same thing, until I had it and now I can’t even look at any other bubble tea shop. My dear friend Olivia shared with me that Dragon Tea is the only place that actually offers a «slush» option on their ice, and wouldn’t you agree that EVERYTHING in this world would be so much better if there was a slush option? Think about it, I’ll give you a moment to recover from having your mind blown. And when you the real fruit element of sweet grapes and the inconceivably tasty lychee jelly, it’s GAMEOVER.

if you’re in Waikiki and having a bubble tea crave? then this is a place to go. it’s located on Nahua St(between Kuhio and Ala Wai). it’s a small little place with a couple tables and chairs, and it’s usually fairly clean. as for parking, i work in Waikiki, so i have no problem with it. but for those who are venturing out into Waikiki, good luck with finding street parking or finding a reasonable priced parking structure :/ they have great selection of drinks here: fruit tea, fruit tea slush, milk tea, tea cappuccino, pure tea and non-caffeine drinks. they also serve hot drinks if you desire for some of their categories. you can also control the level of sweetness and ice. and lastly, add extra toppings for 50 cents each. prices are affordable, it ranges from $ 3.85-$ 5.35. i’ve tried their fresh strawberry milk tea with bubbles and honey milk tea; both were really good and refreshing. if it’s just you, then you might wanna bring cash as there’s a $ 5 minimum for all card purchases… they’re quick and friendly, but there’s a language barrier as the first time my coworkers and i went there, the worker told us there’s a $ 8 minimum for paying with cards, but clearly there was a sign that said $ 5 minimum for paying with cards. and the second time i went there, i asked for bubbles in my drink, but only got ice. minor issues i can live with, but just FYI, make sure to clarify your order with them. don’t forget to check-in with your Unilocal app as you get a 10% discount! or if you’re student/military, you also get 10% discount. and don’t forget to get a stamp card, esp if you’re planning on coming back for more lol #11 out of 100 Unilocal Reviews in 2015

I finally figured out where Dragon Tea was after all this time! Me and my friend spent about half an hour researching on Google Maps only to realize it wasn’t really that hard to find in the first place. Lucky for us, we didn’t have to worry about parking because we took the bus! After hearing about a new boba tea place, I’ve made a pact to always try out something NEW. Whatever the flavor might be, even if I don’t like it. I’m gonna try it out cause there are waaay too many bubble tea places that have the same regular milk teas. with the same exact name and taste. There’s gotta be a drink on their menu that will help me distinguish what makes this place better than the rest that I’ve been to. That’s why I chose to get the fresh watermelon green tea and my friend opted for the passion fruit black tea. I liked how my drink had chucks of watermelon in it, making it extra tasty and perfect for a hot day. It did have too much ice at the bottom thogh, but you can always chose not to have any ice, as well as how sweet you want your drink to be. My friend’s black tea was super sweet and I got to sample it. I think I will probably come back if I’m in the area to try out something else. If you show them your student ID, you get the same discount as checking in on Unilocal or liking their FB page. Dragon Tea’s physical location is super small, so I advise ordering your drink and taking it to-go as you stroll along Waikiki or drive-off to somewhere else. It doesn’t look like a place to just hang out and socialize.
