Fisher Hawaii

One of the few things that I do not like about coming to this location is the fact that it is in the downtown Honolulu area. Anytime anything is going to be or at the downtown Honolulu area is parking and that is almost always a turn off. Anyways, this location is in the downtown Honolulu area on S. Hotel st. I come here from time to time only if I want to get a specific office item like a Shoji Screen. Going back to parking, so I think there might be parking near Walmart that you can go to but I am not quite sure. Other than that there are many paid parking options around the downtown area and there is always the metered street parking which is usually the best choice I think. The staff and customer service is ok. The prices for everything is decent as well. Sometimes they have sales on some items that you should keep on a look out for. There are many students that roam around the store looking for stuff. It is in the vicinity of Ft. Street mall so that is usually busy and hecty in the day time during the weekdays. They have two floors. Most of the office supplies stuff is on the first floor. The 2^nd floor is kinda hidden if you are not really paying attention. Most of the furniture and technological stuff is on the ground «second floor area.»

Used to like going to Fisher Hawaii in the Kakaako area however we’ve decided to become an Office Max or online shopper instead. It may be more expensive, but less stressful and more worth the while. Hopefully someday, the new location can get back to how Fisher Hawaii was.
Parking is horrible. There should be a back entrance. Someday a customer will fall and get hurt walking to the entrance of Fisher Hawaii, while trying to avoid the cars driving to the back parking lot.
Stock on hand is limited, pricing (if any) is not displayed or… not properly displayed. They used to put individual prices on items, now since they’re using scan technology, the price are not shown on the item. If you’re lucky, you may be able to see the tiny faded price information on the shelf and that’s IF the item is stocked in the correct position. Supervisors should be roaming the store to make sure the customer will recognize the price correctly. It is pretty bad, when an employee can’t even properly identify what the cost of an item is. They claim that the numbers on a box of certain supplies are their Inventory count but what customer who shops at an «Office Supply» store is going to think «Inventory» numbers? Really? Most customers would think price /​cost of item (numbers), NOT inventory numbers.
They sure have a lot of staff just hanging around by the small «Customer Service» counter. Previously, the staff would always roam around, rearranging items, and being there to assist.
Why do they place single price items on the highest shelf? Do they want their customers climbing the shelves to try and get the desired items? Advice… instead of staff congregating near the front door talking stories, they should use their time more wisely and provide better quality customer service.
Been hearing from numerous individuals how bad Fisher Hawaii has gotten but we still shopped there trying to continue being loyal customers (approximately 20 years) however, we have decided not to go back there again. Fisher Hawaii, thumbs down!

I’ve been coming here for office supplies for the longest time my go to store for office supplies I always come here to stock up on pens and other things for my son drawing needs

I don’t like the new location!!! It’s lost its novelty and customer service!!! Things are either mispriced or not priced at all!!! Limited things!!! Not cheap anymore!!! Ugh! My kids got bitten by mosquitoes outside!!!

After I got my nails done, I was walking around downtown and saw this cute supply store. I love stationary so I decided to take a look inside! Long story short, they offer a variety of everything you could think of that has to do with school/​office supplies for home or work. I walked out with 3 ballpoint pens, 2 sharpies, 1 binder, and 3 packs of flash cards all for $ 5.66!!! SO CHEAP. I was so surprised, I even had to ask the girl if she charged me for everything haha. So happy with this place! I definitely recommend (:

This is one of my favorite local Hawaii stores; specializing mostly in office supplies, they also carry craft supplies, and other fun things. This downtown location is mostly for supplies in general; they have a furniture showroom, but these items should be viewed at the Cooke Street location.
This place is always busy, mostly because they have everything you need. I’ve purchased binders, pens, craft supplies, tape, minor hardware things, etc. There is usually a rush around lunch time, but the staff tries to be fast and efficient. They have lots of sales, consistently advertising in the paper and in store. Check it out!

I like to come here because it’s convienent due to that it is located in the middle of Downtown Honolulu. The place is clean and the employees are friendly. I don’t need a whole lot of office supplies so it fits my needs.
Not to mention that they upgraded their cash registers/​credit card machines. Woohoo!!!

Love the new charge account system! Came in to make a company purchase and was dreading the long wait while someone itemized the supplies I was buying — confirming and cross referencing an extensive book. Instead, I was thrilled to find that the process had been automated. I’ve always loved Fisher for all the fun goodies; now I love them for their new checkout process! Hooray!

Fisher Hawaii has:
*Cool people.
*I’ve never had trouble with the check out.
*Fairly big selection.
*They have good specials and sales all the time.
The only negative is parking can be hard sometimes, but there’s ample meter parking along the street side as well and they’ve opened the other lot if it gets too full during super sale days (from what i’ve experienced). So its not enough to merit a minus.
So 5 stars for me.
I Love this place.

I can spend an entire day in the pen section alone. Anybody else like that??? LOL There’s something calming when I walk into Fisher because I know I’m always going to have a good time just looking at everything. I also know that having so much variety means having more options to choose from which makes me very very happy. :) Whatever you’re looking for they will have and their prices are unbeatable.
Now, if you’re a little OCD like me, then you’ll love stopping by Fisher. Anything you could possibly want is there all organized for you to find.

Fantastic selection and prices. Incredibly helpful staff. That said, they would receive five stars from me if only the checkout process were more efficient. I find I waste a LOT of my time waiting. And waiting. And waiting in long lines that move at a sleeping snail’s pace…

Whenever I needed any school or office supplies this would be the place I’d go to. I went to school at HPU so it was super convenient. They have a lot of supplies for a cheap price. It seems like they always have a sale that I don’t know about because whenever I get rung up I get charged a price cheaper than the ticket price so that’s a nice surprise :) The staff is always friendly and very helpful.
Sometimes they set-​up outside on Friday’s and they have a sale on different items all the time.
This particular location doesn’t have as much stuff as the main one in town but if they don’t have something in that store they can get it sent over from the main store and will be available for you the next day.

I love this store! Office, craft, school, & everything you need supply store. It’s inexpensive (compare prices to walmart) & When they have sales, it’s a greater deal. Pens are sold individually & in a wide variety of color. Paper are also sold individually whether it be cardstock, colored computer paper, scrapbooking. Let’s just say they have everything !! It would be great if they could extend the store for bigger walk ways, bigger aisles. It does seem crowded at times considering lunch time when everyone in the area are looking for items for their office or project, but we endure it because this store is so awesome!

Love Fisher! And I love this gem in downtown. The outside is totally deceiving – it’s wayyy bigger than it looks.
This is a great place to pick up whatever your DIY heart might desire on a whim. I especially love their massive collection of pens – yes, girls can never have too many! – and the fact that they have Gelly Rolls, score! Those def bring back some intermediate school memories…

School supplies, yay!~ Lol, hey, if you’ve been a student all of your life, you grow to admire school supplies and want to buy the best, cutest where ever they may be found. Okay, maybe, just for nerds like me. :-P
Fishers sells mainly school and office supplies as well as electronics or decorating items. Really, when I used to be a student, I would stop by this Fishers location just to kill time before class or if I was stressed from all the studying, I’d take a break and thoroughly test their pen selection by writing on the sample paper provided (don’t deny; you’ve tried it as well). :-)
One thing I really appreciate about Fishers is that no one can beat their prices for school supplies. They even sell items individually, such as post-​it pads, pens, or hi-​lighters, and in bulk too. Granted, the majority of the items aren’t mainstream, popular school/​office brands, but the quality is just as good. If you want pink envelopes for personal use, a unique notebook with a nice design, or a wide selection of colored Sharpies, Fishers has it.
Oh, and every Tuesdays and Fridays, Fishers participates in the Fort Street market and has a booth out selling their clearance items, which are discounted for cheap! Overall, my primary store for school and office supplies!

This place has some serious deals on school supplies… makes me wish I had school-​age children (well, not really!) :-)
A co-​worker enlisted several of us to go to the store to buy school supplies so she could donate them to her kids’ school. Folders 1 cent each (limit 10) and protractors for 4 cents each (limit 3). So, each of us spent 22 cents each for the cause.
I also picked up unlined composition pads for 25 cents each (limit 3) and a box of Crayola Crayons for 42 cents… as well as a cute little step with a storage bin. I’m all set for my granddaughter’s visit next week.

Just finished my back-​to-​school supply shopping for an upcoming 4^th grader and 1^st grader, both at the same DOE school. We had some (but not much) of the supplies already but by going to Fisher in one fell swoop, I attacked the supply list and got this done during my lunch break today. The damage? $ 54 for two kids. Examples of ridiculous prices: $.27 for sharpies, $.99 for 6 folders with clasps, $.50 for a 24 pack of #2 pencils.
This haul will generally last for the whole school year (there will be some supplementing to do but that’s par for the course). You can pretty much get EVERYTHING here, it’s easy access for those that work in downtown and the back-​to-​school sales make it really light on the budget so that I can spend my money at other Fort Street Mall establishments like Ahi & Vegetable or Lucky Belly. Go here for your back-​to-​school shopping. Support local and do not pay double at Walmart or Target, where you will not find everything on the list anyway (and that makes it more expensive if more than one trip is required).

What’s awesome about fishers is the cheap prices, awesome friendly and quick service, & convenient location. I work in the area so it’s so convenient to drop by to pick up a few items. Sometimes they even have items that are on sale/​clearance right out side the store.
The only downside is the fact that they have no air condition. I get pretty warm when I’m walking through and looking around.

The price is right that’s why the two stars.
The service isn’t spectacular that’s why the minus three stars.
First off their point of sale system needs a MAJOR overhaul! Who in this day and age doesn’t use a scanner and bar codes? Not all items are tagged either and their system relies on the memory of their staff and their trusty binders full of copies of the sale items. what??? How could that be an efficient system?
I spent more time in line waiting and paying than to grab my items today. During my transaction two other sales staff had to stop my cashier to ask her «do you know the price of this?».
On other occasions I’ve been charged incorrectly to to the item being on sale but the cashier not remembering to check her binder. In downtown people want to get in and out quickly. Please consider a new system!
But again… Price is right so if you need supplies fisher is the place. Just go with some patience.

I seriously love this location and how it’s down the street from school.
Come here all the time for school supplies or stuff we need for projects. It’s cheap and easy to find stuff here. They have a great selection of products and I just love it here.
I remember one time I just wanted to start drawing so I came here and bought oil pastels and colored pencils with a sketch book. All very inexpensive of course.
I love the random stuff they have like sushi/​fruits & vegetable-​shaped erasers.
