Summer sale & straight from the designer ! Always loved her designs but a little pricey thru independent boutique mark ups. I caught the summer sale and am excited about my super comfy and stylish looks I brought. I absolutely love the material she uses and the cute little extras around the store; jewelry, scarfs, bags

Peeked in the window of the Florencia Arias at First Friday a few months ago and finally was lucky enough to find a parking spot nearby. Florencia, the owner, is super sweet and her line of dresses, tops & skirts can be best described as sexy comfort. She uses super soft, drapey knit fabrics in an assortment of colors. She also carries a few other local designers, like Posh Pua bikinis from Maui. The boutique is small, chicly decorated and worth a stop in. She also does free hemming, so be sure to have the long maxi dresses custom hemmed, too! If you don’t score a parking, San Lorenzo carries her dresses, too, but it’s more expensive there, no free alterations, and less selection.

While walking on Bethel St. I completely passed this store by thinking, «Ah! It looks too expensive!» so we kept walking. However, the boutique gods had something else in mind and they guided me back to this store before heading to the car. The owner was there and greeted me. She took my selections to the dressing room right away and showed me how a couple of different ways to wear a skirt. She also told me how to care for the fabric. I’m sure glad I changed my mind. Think of Fighting Eel but with a MUCH lower price tag. The clothes are made of that fabulous modal fabric we all love with some spandex & nylon thrown in giving it that heavier, soft cottony feel with some stretch. The cuts of some of the dresses are a little sexy for me but totally cute nonetheless. Cute tunics and tops, one of which I bought for $ 40. Simple solids and cute, eye catching patterns. She also sells jewelry and adorable bikinis. But beware that the cuts are more brazilian so you go with your bad self if you don’t mind showing a little booty. Sorry hubby but this store is being added to my list of downtown boutique stops. I’ll be excited to see what new things she gets in. Happy shopping!

Strolling down Nuuanu Avenue on a breezy Friday, on my way to Mei Sum for some dim sum, a tiny corner store caught the side of my eye. In the most adorable font, I see Florencia Arias Hawaii. I thought to myself, «I need to check this place out.» The next day, I noticed a CMYE Holiday Crawl post. So it was the perfect timing. Florencia Arias is a small boutique store. Just a hop and skip away from EPIC Restaurant and a holler across from Human Imagination. As you walk in, you are greeted with two comfy happy red chairs. The décor was very modern. I didn’t get to try on some clothes but the dressing room was big enough to have your own little fashion show. ;) Very chic dresses, skirts and tops. Lots of blues, yellows, red, black, and whites. Very bold ensembles that make a statement. There was an ivory dress that I might come back to check out.
